Sunset on the Shore

Logan walked down a small path onto the beach. It was his first day still, but it was going to end soon. He still hadn't made any friends yet. It was still warm out like it had been all day, but it was cooling down a little more. he was wearing a pair of blue jeans and an unbuttoned chackered dress shirt. he put his hands in his pockets and slowly walked down the beach until he came to a few rocks. he didn't see anyone else on the beach. he sat on one of the rocks and leaned back on another looking out across the ocean at the setting sun that reflected off the ripply water.

Mica glided aimlessly across the beach, clothed in an uncomfortable and awkward combination of a frilly black mini skirt and a matching tank top. She hated it, wanted to run back to her room to change, but it was the first time she'd been alone since she'd arrived, and she wanted to enjoy it while it last.

It didn't last long. A human appeared as if out of nowhere, and she slid behind a large rock to keep him from spotting her.
He walked over, and Mica was too frightened to do anything more then cower. He sat down on the rock she was hiding behind, but within a few minutes it became obvious that he didn't see her. She sighed in relief, silently turning around and standing up. She'd just walk away, that was it... She took a step, her bare foot landing on a slippery rock and whisking itself out from under her. She gave a small cry of surprise, falling backwards on the sand, wondering why the hard crack of her head against rock that she'd been expecting hadn't rang out.

She lifted her head, grey eyes widening in fear and disgust when she realized the impact had been cushioned by the boy's lap. What was he going to do to her?! She jumped back, a soft whine of fear escaping her mouth. "Please, peace!" She implored, ready to run at any sudden movement from the boy. "I'm sorry."

Throughout the entire display, Logan didn't move nor change expression, he looked at the girl and raised an eyebrow. "Peace?" he asked, "Who said I was gonna hurt you?" he asked, "It's okay." he said, "My names Logan." he said introducing himself.

Her eyes darted over the boy, trying to decide if he was just playing with her, lulling her into a false sense of comfort. But humans were hard to read, and she couldn't tell.
She pressed herself against the rock, deciding she would stay for just a bit. She could outrun almost all humans, and she didn't doubt she could do the same for this one. "Logan..." She echoed, soft grey eyes skittering over him again. "I'm Mica." She bared her teeth in what she thought was a rendition of the odd smiles the humans liked to give, although it looked more like she was about to rip the flesh from his bones. "Thank you for your mercy." She dropped her head down in a short bow, silver hair flowing down in front of her eyes.

OOC: Um, is she a cat, or human, or both? or neither?

Logan nodded, "No problem." he said as he raised an eyebrow at her wicked 'smile'. "So," he began, "Why are you out here now?" he asked.

ooc: She's a human with ears and a tail who thinks she's a full-fledged wolf. ^^

Mica peeked up at him through her hair, raising her head again and relaxing slightly. "To get away from all the humans." She mumbled, scrabbling at her hair in a mostly futile attempt to get it out of her eyes. "What about you?"

OOC: Oh (0.o) ok

Logan looked at the girl, "It's my first day, so I decided I'd just come here and wait till it got dark to go back." he said.

Mica nodded, shifting her weight so she was sitting on her haunches. "If you do it quiet, no one notices you." She tilted her head to the side, sizing the boy up. "Most humans are too loud for it to work... Of course, they're also not able to hear well." She smiled gently, the soft curve of the lips looking much more normal when it wasn't put on. "But maybe you'd be able to get away with it," She allowed, a huge compliment coming from her.

Logan listened, "That's...uh...interesting." he said, "I wasn't trying to go unnoticed." he said, "Just decided I'd come here." he said.

Mica cocked her head to one side, silver hair once again slipping into her line of vision. "Why did you want to come here? Is it pretty?" She never thought humans liked going outside... She turned her head in the direction of the ocean, staring at it for a few seconds with shining, wild eyes. "It is, isn't it?" She felt proud of herself for figuring out the human's - Logan's - motives all by herself.
