Sudden Right Turn At Light Speed

Slowly Trent's claw flicks became more intricate as magic trailed after the tips forming magic runes in the air as he worked making leaves float about, crush themselves, and begin a distillation and brewing process. When Alyssa said very sweet he turned his head to her before Shrugging and simply adding dab of honey and a couple of sugar cubes to a tea cup as the fluids finished tgeir process. Then letting the cup float over to Alyssa for her to grab.

As it floated over to the girl Trent turned his head over to an alcove in the wall before reaching in with a forepaw and pulled out a large metal container the size of a small grain silo. He poked two holes into it before stretching out and laying diwn with the metal can with magical alcoholic fumes wafted towards Trent's nose. Smelling of berries and the sparks of Arcane energy that were used to boost tge drink.

He took a sip of it, a large plum of purple smoke coming out of his mouth when he next exhaled, when he thought of something and turned to Alyssa again. "You said you were young into engineering right? What specialization?"

Trent nodded sagely at her answer to his question as well as take a sip of his drink one more as another puff of arcane charged purple smoke billowed out from his nose before grunting slightly at Alyssa's question.

"I am the teacher of Multidemensional Mythical Creature Biology. So in essence a College level class that can also be taken as an AP Biology class for those in high school." Trent gave a small chuckle to himself at an old memory from his adventuring days before a chill ran up his spine making his scales shimmer at the light as he remebered the fallen avatar of a fertility godess he had to fight... It was....very uncomfortable for him at the time.

"though if you're curious, I was asking to see if you would happen to be Magical or Mechanical engineering. I find so few students going into such fields and it sometimes makes me worry for this world's ability to magically grow into new fields." Trent began to look into the middle distance infront of him as he finished. He had seen wonders in some of the places he had visited during his travels. This world to had its wonders but all were ingenious Mechanical feats. Very very few even touched the magic of the world here.

"Ah, but you see. Magic can do things that technology can't in its current form. I've seen the ungifted fly with just the help of small medallions to give them the ability. I have witnessed a man survive the crushing depths of the ocean without the aid of diving gear. There are just somethings that magic can do now if people tried that technology can't do in the next 60 years." his voice was in that tone that he used to give lessons. To engage his audience and draw then in to the words that he spoke.

It was once he realized this that he gave another chuckle and took another sip from his drink. "Sorry, I run on tangents sometimes."

When Alyssa asked in a round about way to see his human form again he couldn't help but roll his eyes a bit. "You really are persistent aren't you." with that his form began to gently glow as there was small pops and crackles of energy as he began to shrink. It took about a minute to change down fully to human size and standing again.

Trent wiped small arcane dust particles from his simple Grey mage robes. He looked just on the down hill slide of his forties but still strong and vigorous. "Is this better?"
