Out of instinct, Ember grabbed hold of Nitar's hand as she noticed her step back. She wouldn't let her back out now, and she couldn't let herself either. They had to be brave.

Ember glared at the boy, her eyes a firey red. This boy was playing with them, she could tell, he wasn't going to tell them anything. "We don't need your help anyway." Ember spat, still glaring with hatred at the strange boy.

"No, i think you can tell us, you just don't want to!" She listened to him carefully, still holding Nitar's hand as well as her ground; she wasn't about to leave, not without a fight. "If Eldon won't speak willingly, then i'll force it out of him." She'd tortured someone before, and she wasn't afraid to do it again, especially if it would help Nitar.

Sighing deeply, his smile was gone, his eyes showed a bit of annoyance. "Like I said, I am not one to say anything, Eldon doesn't even know that I know what happened... he only thinks I know what he did to Nitar... I can say he didn't mean for her to lose her... but now that she has, she doesn't have to worry about what happened to her.... I call her lucky, not remembering." He said, looking a bit tense.

"Please! Leave. Or Eldon may bind your body into Nitar's, or someone else nearby. I don't want it to happen to someone else, you may have your body, but with someone else in you, it will block out your memory, thats why Nitar doesn't know anything. Eldon has been helping, trying to help Nitar remember something, but if you go charging into his home, he will not tell anything, and will most likely bind you, or something else, I don't want to happen." He said, more desperately.

Fear clenched at her again. Would that happen? Would Eldon do the same thing to Ember or not? "Please. I wish to speak with him, if he is trying to help me, then you would think he will be more willing to tell me something, or to help Nesthora and me."

Ember was getting sick and tired if this guy's act. First, he threatens them and acts all evil-ish and now he's acting a little nicer and trying to 'save' them! Goes to show that you can't trust anyone. Ember clenched her first, in annoyance more than anything. "Well Nitar didn't deserve this! She has a right to know who she really is! And Eldon took that away from her!" She was breathing heavily and her cheeks were red, but she was mad and the guy was being a big pain.

What did he mean by 'bind her to someone else nearby'? What/who was Eldon? And if he didn't mean for what happened to nitar, then why would he to it to her? "It doesn't matter, we're going to go talk to Eldon, you can't stop us."[/color.] Ember knew that she was speaking for both of them, but she had convinced herself that Nitar was feeling the same way.

He sighed a again, he felt a little defeated. "Fine. Go there, can't wait till Eldon sees how I can't even keep people away." He snorted. "I should just go back and do what I normally do best, chop wood and sell it, what fun." He said, sounding quite annoyed. He looked at the torch they had, then held out his hand, and some of the flame moved from the torch and onto the palm of his hand, then he moved it in front of himself, then he let it go ahead of him.

"Follow me if you want... it doesn't matter, like you said, your going there no matter what, and so am I... but if you would be kind, don't mention me, no matter what, nothing about that picture you have in there... I'd rather not be brought up in this mess... even if I am... never mind." He said, mumbling the last part, then he moved forward, following the ball of flame he had. Hes strides were quick.

Nitar kept quiet for a while, watching the boy go, then looked at Ember, wondering if they should follow. "Should we follow him?" She asked, her voice a little shaky. They were getting closer, and she felt it.

He'd given up? Well, that was kind of a bummer. Ember was slightly hoping for some sort of a fight; but she'd most likely get one once she met Eldon. She'd blinked several times to make sure what she was seeing was right: he could control fire, too. He'd taken part of her flame and made it float in front of him as a light and told them to follow him. She wasn't so sure if she could trust him, and Nitar wasn't sure either.

"He's our only lead directly to Eldon...but listen: we don't have to go. not if you don't want to. It's up to you,"

Nitar watched the boy walk away, then looked back at Ember, and smiled. "I say let's follow him... If he's going to Eldon, it will save us the trouble of trying to get there." She said, then started walking towards the boy, following him, she glanced back to make sure Ember was going to follow.

The boy smiled a bit when he noticed they were following. He knew he was taking them to Eldon, but he wanted Nitar to remember who she was, but still he was worried to find what Eldon would do. He would surely be punished.

Ember smiled back at Nitar and followed her as they followed the boy. She didn't know why, but part of her actually felt bad for him. She could tell he wasn't happy about betraying Eldon, and he was most likely to be punished somehow...maybe even sacrificed or something..."Hey, what's your name?" Ember called out to the guy, curious about who he was.

She looked over to Nitar and said lightly in her ear so that the guy wouldn't hear her, "Hey, Nitar, i just want to say: I'll get your memory back; that's a promise." She knew she was sounding a little down, like as if they were going to die or something, but she needed to say it...just in case.

Smirking slightly, when Ember asked what his name was. Thats right. Nitar couldn't remember his name, and couldn't tell the other girl. He wondered who she was. "My name is Na'fian... I always wondered what my last name was... it would be very nice to have one... instead of being called Na'fian... its slightly boring... but I'll deal with it." He said, his voice slightly cheery, all thoughts of being punished seemed to leave his mind.

"What is your name? I don't ever remember you being around Nitar before? Did you come from her village or another one?" He asked.

She looked up at the boy. Na'fian? Nsthora had talked about Na'fian earlier, she said she had no idea what he was, but he looked perfectly normal to her. He seemed human. She looked over at Ember, and smiled. Squeezing her friends had lightly in thanks.

Her head snapped up, to look ahead. Through the night, and trees, she saw a small cottage, well mostly the windows that glowed. There must be a hearth with a fire on in there, she thought, looking up. "Is that it? Is that his cottage?" She asked, and she saw Na'fian nod.

Na'fian, he said. What kind of strange, peculiar yet somehow intriguing, name. Then he mentioned he didn't even know his own last name. What, was he the same as Nitar? Either that or he just didn't remember it because he didn't have one...she'd find out, hopefully. "how come you don't remember you own last name? Do you have a memory problem too...just like Nitar?" She'd asked this nicely, well not 100% nice, but nicer than she was speaking to him before.

"My name is Ember...Ember Mars."

Ember felt the light squeeze of her hand and smiled back at Nitar...but then she noticed something. Nitar had looked up and over to a small cottage where the windows were glowing lightly, as though there was a fire lit inside. Nitar had asked if that was where Eldon was...and Na'fian nodded a yes. They were so close...

Na'fian shook his head. He was not like Nitar, far from it, he knew his name, and his past, but it was boring. "No, I am... not like her, I don't know my last name, because I never knew who my parents were, Eldon said they abandon me at birth. But I assure you, I know my past, but sadly, it isn't anything exciting, all I do is chop wood it seems, Eldon has no other use for me, only to keep his house warm, and fix."

"Nice to meet you, Ember. Nice to know someone else who controls fire." He said glancing over at her, then he looked up, they neared the cottage.

Nitar looked at the cottage with uncertainly. She was afraid slightly, what was instore for her in that house? What will she face before getting her memory, and would he even give it back willingly?

She glanced at a pile of wood that was neatly stacked, and a axe was nearby. She looked away, at Na'fian's back, as they got closer, close enough, she heard movement in the house, and voice, talking about something, the voice sounded angry, but she heard no other voice, it seemed that Eldon was talking to himself, well, that is what she thinks.
