In the week leading up to it, it will have been mentioned in passing of an optional drop in seminar hosted by members of the Manta Carlos fire department about fire safety and emergencies. Those of the Narrow Reality may have attended similar talks in the past, but it has been promised some discussion regarding the involvement of powers in these scenarios as the nature of Manta Carlos means emergencies are bound to happen as a result of them. Along with such talks, there was even the hope of a Q&A, if listeners and talkers so desired.
In an an empty larger classroom, the tables that ordinarily lined the room for class were pushed to the sides to open up the room, neatly lined with chairs. There was space at the back for people to choose to stand if they wanted, or needed, to. It overall meant the room could accomodate quite a few people, along with the several members of the fire department he lined the front of the room. They stood in wait that students would attend the talk, or perhaps even curious staff members.
One of these members was Liun Rukt'In, being one of the firefighters to be wearing some of his equipment as part of the talk. He idly whistled to himself, glancing at the clock then the door as the time came close for the talk to start. He had volunteered to do this talk, but couldn't help wonder if anyone would turn up. It was optional, after all, and kids could be far too willing to avoid anything at school if it was branded optional. Still, Liun hoped some people would come to it. He'd been called to many emergencies that could've been avoided fairly easily. Perhaps this could even inspire the young minds of Starlight Academy to consider firefighting as a career. Liun felt a small smile on his face at the prospect. Although a demanding job, he felt a semblance of happiness at the idea he could possibly inspire someone for that path.
