Cardamon watched their exchange from his place on the floor. He snickered. "If you're a king then I'm a stick of butter." He said, hearing his voice echo around the empty area. "Though, its nice to meet you both. I'm Cardamon."

Laetus let out a laugh and tapped the poor girls forehead.
"Relax, relax. Its just Laetus. Stick to that. Tis a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Jordan"
'Humans are funny, aren't they?' He thought as he looked over to the glass boy.
"You got me, my old man is still alive and kicking." He laughed. "But 'Prince Laetus' just doesn't feel right. Lacks a certain ring to it, doesn't it?"

Jordan nodded at the glass figure, "Pleasure."
She closed her eyes instinctively as Laetus tapped her head. "Oh," she laughed nervously. Her hands still shook, as if him being a prince made her any less nervous.
She shook her head, trying to not think about it and looked at Cardamon. "Um, I don't mean to be rude or anything but, what are you exactly?"

Cardamon didn't have a witty response to that one. In all honestly, he was as much a prince as Laetus. Well, maybe not exactly--technically speaking Laetus was probably more of a prince than he was.

At this point the glass guy was just a relic of a bygone era, no more royalty than the suit of armor that stood in the palace halls.

"I'm a.... well, I guess I'm just a person. Who's made of glass. Think of an ice sculpture. Or a glass sculpture. You know what I mean."

"I see." She stared at him for a moment. "Were you born like this or...?" She didn't want to sound rude, but she couldn't help but ask. So far, Cardamon was the most extraordinary person she'd met at the school so far. Physically, at least.

Laetus smiled and floated there in a cross legged position. He did love stories.

Cardamon looked at his page. He'd gotten quite a few sketch ideas down for his next work of art. He didn't really want to tell two people he just met his whole story, but...

It seemed like all eyes were on him, so.... did he really have a choice in the matter?

"I was cursed." He said simply. "By a wizard."

"Oh, that seems rather unpleasant. I'm sorry to hear that." She turned from the glass figure and smoothed out the bottom of her skirt as she sat on the snow, just at the edge of the lake and held her knees to her chest.

'That was a short story' Laetus thought with dissapointment. He let himself drift around through the air and out over the ice. "So did you ever find the wizard? Revenge and what not?"

"I don't know where he is," he said. "Or even how to find him."

Cardamon was drawing more aggressively. The sound of his pencil snapping in two echoed around the area, as did the sound of him cursing at his broken pencil.

"And even if I did find him, I couldn't kill him. I couldn't hurt anyone if I wanted to."
