"Ahh t-thank you." said Iesha, gracious that Zora was able to help her with the word she was trying to say. "T-that is the feeling that... that I am h-having now sssince c-coming here."

As Zora spoke, Iesha paid great attention to her as she spoke more about Saint John's Eve. While Celeste had told her a bit about the festivities and its meaning, she was never really told about the energies that said to be present this night. Especially not the bad ones. Iesha was thinking about asking Zora more on what she meant by these energies but the conversation quickly changed as Zora asked her about what it was she was the festival reminded her of. Iesha wore a grimace on her face but after a moments pause decided to speak what was on her mind. There was just something about Zora that made her feel like someone whom she can trust.

"O-ohh... erummm... t-there was night m-m-much like this one... ssspecial one that I h-had with Misssss N-narraine. Sssshe... u-used to watch o-over me. T-then sssshe... t-then she left me... a-and I was... just... t-thinking..." Iesha then trailed off, whatever it was she was going to say was now lost as she hugs more tightly onto her tail and buries her face into her scales. While no tears where shed, the weight of being left behind hung heavily on her mind as she wondered if what happened with Narraine will happen again with Celeste.

"And you now wonder if my aunt will leave too, no?" Zora said gently as she looked at Iesha with understanding. Being left behind was a hard thing to stomach, for anyone, no matter the age, and it was something Zora could easily sympathise with as her own thoughts immediately went to Broen.

"I can't say if everything will work out between my aunt and Roldan," she began as her gaze strayed over to where Celeste and Shale were talking. "However, my instinct says that it's probably more than likely they will get married one day and you won't ever need to worry about being alone."

"And if, for some strange and unlikely reason, it doesn't, well, I know Celeste would not suddenly stop being there for you," Zora told Iesha. "She has always been there for me, no matter how badly I mess up and believe me... I have messed up badly quite a few times over the years," she said as she stared at her aunt, smiling a little when she started laughing at something Shale had said.

Felen nodded, glad to not have upset the elder Del Bosque too much. It would have made things a little uncomfortable, given he wasn't about to give up his job working for his granddaughter even if the man decided he wasn't so pleased with the elf after all.

He followed the man towards an area that had been set aside for the fireworks display. With boxed carefully placed, containing an array of effectively types of explosives to be launched into the air. Designed for amusement and awe instead of destruction. Fortunately he didn't need to be an expert, as long as he was careful and let Rafael take the lead on the project.

Though he was careful to keep glancing over to make sure Zoraida was ok. She seemed to be having a private conversation with the young Lamia still, though nothing appeared amiss aside from the way he body language suggested it was somewhat emotional in a way.

Rafael set up the charges and positioned the fireworks so that they'd explode over the water, all with the help of Felen. The whole set up probably took an hour to do since most of it was just hooking the charges up and getting everything properly placed.

"I think that'll do very nicely," Rafael stated matter-of-factly, quite satisfied with their handiwork as he began wiping his hands on a clean handkerchief that he had made appear out of thin air, offering Felen one too in the process.

"I love fireworks," he confided. "It still amazes me how simple of a concept they are, and how much joy and wonderment they can still inspire in people."

"Y-yeah. That." sheepishly admitted Iesha. She never thought of Celeste being the sort of person to abandon her but... neither did she think Narraine either. It almost felt taboo to even say it out loud but it has been something that gnawed on her the closer she felt to Celeste. Did she even deserve someone like Celeste in her life?

When Zora spoke up, Iesha quietly listened. She had expected her to say that that she had nothing to worry about and that she was being silly or over-analytical. Iesha was thus a little surprised when Zora expressed that even they were not sure yet could still speak of Celeste's strong character. It was... strangely comforting in way. When Iesha looked to the direction of Zora's gaze she then realize Celeste and Shale conversing in the distance.

"You ssspeak so highly of her. B-but then you... y-you would know her really well. D-do you... do you think you can tell me a-about y-you and Missss Celeste? H-how it is ssshe helps you?" requested Iesha as she joins Zora in watching Celeste and Shale.

Felen dusted his hands off with the proffered handkerchief as he stood back up and stepped back with Rafael. Not entirely sure exactly what all he had just done but hoping it would go off like the man was planning it to.

"I think I still prefer our equivalent from where i'm from. Long strands of glowing magical light that last for quite some time. The very adept users can even draw with them. Less... abrupt than the fireworks here. But they are still a feat in their own right." He stretched his arms and then shrugged. It was tough comparing everything to what it was like at home, since he'd probably never be going back there again. He'd had to find a new purpose here, and he was pretty content with it so far.

At Iesha's insistence, Zora nodded, taking a moment to decide where to begin and what to tell the young lamia about her aunt.

"Well, to start, Celeste is my mother's younger sister, but to me, she has always been more like a sister. I have always been closer to her than anyone else."

"When my mother passed away, she was there for me and helped me through it. When I had my son she offered support and did not judge me..." Zora told Iesha thoughtfully. The times Celeste had been there for her were countless, and Zora had trouble remembering just a few when there were so many.

"Celeste is an amazing person... she's not had it easy though. Her mother was not a very caring person and had very little interest in Celeste's life," Zora confided, not bothering with the finer details. "But I'm guessing that's why family is so important to her now."

"That sounds interesting," Rafael remarked as he observed their handiwork. "Would you be able to replicate that here?" he asked, looking directly at Felen now. Rafael was always curious about anything magical, and loved to emulate new forms or spells if he could, or try to find ways to adapt things to his own magical skill set.

"I'd love to learn how to do that, see if I can replicate it or approximate it somehow," he told Felen. Rafael was quite willing to put in the work needed into adapting such magic if it could be done here and wasn't a magic specific only to a certain place or dimension.

Felen honestly wasnt sure. He'd seen it done. Had helped with the procedure. But he himself wasnt especially adept at mage craft. Most of what he could do came as a result of the possession attempt rather than his innate arcane ability.

"Possibly. I can try to teach the process but I know I cannot do it by myself. Perhaps with your magic and my experience we can manage it."

Maybe not without proper preparations and some magical experimentation but Felen knew it was certainly worth trying sometime. It would feel good to feel similar magics to those worked in his homeworld.

"Oh I d-did not know. Ssshe really did do a lot for you..." spoke up Iesha, looking at Celeste in a more sympathetic light. "I really want that to... to have s-ssomeone who is l-like a s-sister to me? O-or like a mother? I... I really want t-that b-back but I am just... just afraid of t-that what if. That w-what if it doesn't work out a-and I... and I lose it again."

Iesha has lost so much: her family, her best friend, Miss Narraine. She used to think that she didn't deserve anyone, especially after Narraine. She feared that she would somehow disrespect their memory by trying to find people to replace that missing void. But those thoughts just left her lonely and scared of ever really moving on. And she didn't really want to be alone nor afraid, not with all of the wonderful people here who want to be part of her life when she felt so undeserved of their affections. People like her friends and Roldan... and Miss Celeste too. After some quite reflection, she looked back to Zora with a more cheerful expression on her face.

"T-thanks Misss Z-zora. Miss Celeste is a v-very wonderful person... I... I g-guesss I j-just needed a r-reminder."

As Iesha spoke, Zora had to smile. She really was the sweetest, and in a way, it made Zora slightly envious. She had never really wanted a large family or more children, but seeing Celeste this evening with her children, and talking with her potentially new daughter, made Zora realise what she was missing out on.

"I think we all need reminders once in a while," Zora admitted.

"You know, you should ask Celeste one day to teach you how to make something like her homemade noodles or filled dumplings," Zora suggested as one of their younger days bonding activity came to mind. "She likes making both, except she always says it´s better or more fun if two people or more can help."

"Of course," Rafael agreed. "Two heads are always better than one when dealing with such things. Each type of magic often comes with its own set of rules or specifications. Things that might be unfamiliar to one user but not to another," he explained. Rafael was very much in favour of teamwork since he knew some spells could outright kill a magic user if they were not powerful enough to wield it by themselves.

"After tonight´s festivities are over, we could possibly set up a time to talk about the specifics and what is needed to recreate the magic?" he suggested as they walked back to where the bonfires were.
