Please put in your nominations for the monthly Spotlights! Nominations will remain open until the 14th of the following month, at which point voting will open based on your nominations! Need some suggestions or guidelines on what to look for in each category? Check out The Complete Guide to Contests.

Winners get a special banner under their avatar, can claim a medal, and can PM Kyros during their month for a special cbox name color! They also get a super cool writeup recognizing their accomplishments in our monthly announcements.

You cannot nominate a player who has won any of the previous month's spotlights, and you cannot nominate a specific player, character, or plot that has won in the past six months. Please, only one nomination per category. If you nominate someone who is currently being voted on and they win, you'll be pinged to change your vote.

Why you think they deserve the spotlight: I think Keen is a fantastic RPer, a fun person to talk to, and generally a great part of the community.

Spotlight Character: Seregaza "Gaza"
Why you think they deserve the spotlight: Gaza is hilarious and adorable. Boop has really solidified the concept of a brand new entity, popped fresh out of the ground. And being an honest pickpocket is a hilarious combination.

Spotlight Plot: Baaaaa-d Relationship
Explain the plot in a paragraph for those who aren't familiar: While her sister Brigid threw herself into working, Ariel got swept up by a charming man who turned out to be a monster. The sheltered Catholic girl found herself in a nightmare scenario, a sheep being preyed upon by a wolf.

Why you think it deserves the spotlight: This plot tackles a heavy topic, but does so in a way that is both well thought out and well executed. It opens up so many opportunities for all the characters involved to grow and change while also being a starting point for many other plots down the road.

Why you think they deserve the spotlight: Despite a few bumps in the road, I think WD is a great contribution to the forum. He tries and he plots with as many people as he can. He's constantly around the Cbox/ICC and very friendly OOC to the people around him. Definitely deserving of a little love.

Spotlight Character: Sean O'Cermait

Why you think they deserve the spotlight: I just really love Sean as a character. For one, and this is important to him, his sexuality doesn't define him. He's a quit-thinking, petty criminal scribe God who likes to lie just because. He has problems with vulnerability and romance, and also, both his domains are a kind of the opposite. One is order, the other is basically chaos. Yet, rather than having them conflict, @Boop has found an interesting way that they could work in harmony and create something truly unique.

Spotlight Plot: I'm going to second Kada's plot nom here and add my reasons below.

Why you think it deserves the spotlight: While, yes, I agree with what Kada said, I'm going to voice it in my own way. This plot is definitely a "healing" plot. There is no fetishism of what's happening here. It's about a character going through a really screwy time and fighting their way out and finding a support system along the way.
