Virgil Drakenhardt

Human Form: Stands 5'10, strong athletic build, short blood red hair worn loosely, bright green eyes that glow slightly and have a slightly reptilian look about them. Clothing varies greatly from day to day, from brightly colored shirts and pants to darker variants and even a suit with a dark coat when needed. His back and side have many scars as well as a large one across his chest.


Dragon Form: Stands 7' tall, is partially covered in bluish-black scales, his back and neck are covered in dark blue fur that can harden into spikes, walks on four legs, feet are similar to clawed cat paws but more flexible and can grab things, wings are attached to front legs and fold up against them when not in use. His tail, while thin and flexible, also has three rows of small spikes to be used in combat. He has a hard and very sharp, gray beak over his jaws as well as sharp rows of fangs within, his eyes vary from yellow to red depending on his mood.

Virgil is a generally friendly and pleasant person to be around, he's usually very calm, his facial expressions coming off as muted or small by most standards, this might be off putting to some, it takes a bit for him to show his emotions, though certain people can draw themail out, despite this he does have emotions as any person and like any young teenager struggles with them at times. Like any teenager he wants friends, to date, go to school, though his high intelligence causes him to become easily bored at times, it's not unusual to find him jumping from activity to activity looking for ways to occupy his active mind, ironically he could be described as being untapped potential, he could be in college already but has chosen to go through school at the same rate as people his own age. Like most dragons he has quite a bit of pride, though in his case it's more focused on his intellect though some of it is for his hunting prowess. He's well spoken, rarely using slangs, his accent is very smooth. A part of him is actually quite worried that he'll never live up to his family name, so in secret he pushes himself to the limit via training and studies, he does his best to keep it secret though it's likely his family is aware of it. He's somewhat a contradiction when one considers him not using the full scope of his intelligence in school, or in most public situations. He's rather stubborn and has a desire to be self supporting, he usually avoids asking for help and prefers dealing with things on his own, he's even begun searching for a part time job so he won't have to ask for money unless absolutely needed, this is both his best and at times worst quality, a sense of individuality but as states he sometimes takes it a bit far. All in all, he's an intelligent, stubborn, strong willed young man, who like much of his family has a pride and certain air of royalty about him even if he expects no special treatment because of his family.

The events involving the dragon hunters (see in bio below), has left it's mark. It's still very fresh on his mind, nightmares have become common for him, and he's somewhat drawn in on himself, becoming less social than before, more quieter, less talkative. His naturallystubborn nature has added to it, making him hesitant to talk about it or seek help.

Active:
•Psychic Energy: His mind naturally produces a psychic energy that overall enhances his mind, it acts as a sort of charge for his mind, a boost for some of its functions. Think of the brain as a battery, his has extra power and it grants him a few abilities.

-Sub-Power 1: Direct Use: He can project and manipulate thr psychic energy into a blasts. The blasts act as pure concussive force, it doesn't produce heat or anything one would expect from energy, it causes impact damage but nothing else.
Limits:
-Forms: The intensity of the blasts depend on the form he's in, while human they can tear through flesh easily enough but not much else, while in dragon form it can tear through stone. He can lower the intensity as needed.


-Sub-Power 2: Mental Shielding: The energy makes him immune to things that affect his emotions and mind, like auras or psychic manipulation.
Weaknesses/Limits:


-Sub-Power 3: Enhanced Intelligence: The energy charging his mind has made him incredibly intelligent, he learns things at five times the rate of others his age, and has an excellent memory.
•Flight: He has a pair of wings that grant flight, there attached to his front legs and fold up tightly against them when not in use.


Passive:
Functional Immortality: He'll stop aging in his twenties or thirties and live forever if not killed.
Human Form: While in his human form he has a somewhat weakened version of the enhanced senses.
Dragon Form:
•Predatory Physiology: Senses are enhanced, sense of smell is on the level of the best hunting animals, has night vision, body is designed for stalking prey, making him very sneaky and quiet though not magically so, think of it like a big predatory cat level of stealth, he's just biologically designed for stealth.

Weaknesses:
-Physical Vulnerability: In exchange for immunity to mind altering magic he's twice as affected by auras and magics that might negatively affect his physical body than he otherwise would be. For example, a strength draining aura would work twice as fast on him that it would others, for example, an aura that would normally take an hour to drain him would instead take thirty minutes.
-Hunting Instincts: Because he's more of a hunting predator than most dragons. Because of this he can be dangerous when hunting, his mind becomes more animal like, becoming instinct driven, possibly attacking others if the appear in the area he's hunting in. He reverts to his usual self once the prey has been killed or escaped.
-Mental Backlash: As a side affect of the extra mental energy he has on and off chronic headaches and migraines. Some are quite painful and can at times clash with his naturally enhanced senses. It usually builds up to where once a month he'll develop an incredibly bad migraine that'll usually last a day and leaves him in a lot of pain and leaves him unable to use his psychic energy blasts until is passes.
-Sensory Overload: Because of the high level his senses are at there also vulnerable to bright flashes of light and overwhelming smells. Both can be disorienting and and the flashes of light can be temporarily blinding.

•Comes from an incredibly rich dragon clan, also has a job.

•Virgil was born in England to the Drakenhardt clan, his father having also been born into the clan and his mother being brought in via marriage.
•His father worked for the clan's entertainment conglomerate while his mother was an archeologist who often worked on behalf of the MC museum and government, tracking down magical artifacts and removing them from the narrow world before humans can discover their magical properties as well as excavating archeological sites important to the supernatural community.
•Because of the nature of her profession she spent very little time on the island and so the family based themselves in England, despite it being their main home his mother still left often to visit dig sites and so Virgil was largely taught by a tutor.
•His high intelligence allowed him to learn quickly, which allowed him to excel in his private studies, that said it also made him very curious growing up, he'd often sneak into his mother's dig sites to explore and look at the artifacts, needless to say this led him to getting into trouble at times.
•He grew up intelligent and strong, eventually receiving combat training along with his normal lessons. He took interest in both of his parent's work, joining his mother at dig sites as part of a sort of expanded education.
•Then something happened. A group of dragon hunters somehow caught wind of them and their movements, began tracking them, planning an attack to kill the dragons and steal any enchanted artifacts they can.
•Finally they attacked them, many of the archeologists were killed, but in the end the dragons fought them off. Unfortunately Virgil was taken hostage. Over the next few weeks he was tortured for information, though he didn't really know anything of use he didn't give in, he didn't say a word.
•Eventually his family tracked the down the dragon hunters' base and attacked. During the attack Virgil escaped and ended up killing several of the hunters. When it was all said and over Virgil was sent to MC to heal while his parents continued their worked while still tracking any remaining hunters.

•Only recently started keeping his hair short, would otherwise have the standard flowing, slightly spiky hair common among the Drakenhardts.
•Wears a leather cord with a glowing stone as a necklace, it has no magics beyond the glow, he found it at one of his parent's dig sites and kept it as a good luck charm.
•His favorite thing to eat are apples, though like most dragons he's still mostly carnivorous.
•Speaks Spanish, French and German, also knows sign language.
•Hoards valuable stones and crystals of all sorts and enjoys collecting exotic weapons and different kinds of technology.
•Speaks in a smooth English accent.
