On 15th of the month, we will start the voting, so submit your nominations as soon as possible! You cannot nominate someone who has won the most recent Spotlights. Please, only one nomination per category. If you nominate someone who is currently being voted on and they win, you'll be pinged to change your vote.

Why you think they deserve the spotlight:
She's so helpful and active. I actually would've nominated her earlier, but I thought she was a mod. Her characters are also interesting. Plus her adoptable-buying addiction supports SA.

Spotlight Character: Valgarður "Valli" Bryndísarson

Why you think they deserve the spotlight:
First, because Romi does such an amazing job of writing a believable therapist. Second, because he is a great driver for plots for a lot of characters. Third, because this character was well thought-out.

Why you think they deserve the spotlight:
Nameless is an old returning member who has gone absolutely crazy with the posting! They've created a string of interesting characters, and done a great job getting them involved and active around the site.

Spotlight Character: Iesha Farhat

Why you think they deserve the spotlight:
Please protect this small child. ;-; She got adopted and she's precious and she really needs a hug. Oh yeah and some active plots and posting but also she is so precious.

Spotlight Plot: The Desmoth Prophecies (*)

* Desmoth Prophecies may not feature any prophecies, but it sure does feature a moth.

Explain the plot in a paragraph for those who aren't familiar:
Desmond was a fairly popular guy who was actually a mothman, despite looking human. Or at least he looked human until he inexplicably got the desire to cocoon himself, popping out a month later as more of a moth and less of a man. A serious case of temporary amnesia led to Desmond visiting the party without any idea who he was, denying repeatedly that he was this guy named 'Desmond'. Angelo overheard, pointing out that he couldn't be Desmond, because Desmond had been declared dead after his body was found, and then Desmoth revealed that he had Desmond's Wallet.

After dragging him down to the station, the situation was mostly cleared up. Except, you know, that Desmoth still doesn't remember anyone. Small detail.

Spotlight Member: @Awesomefirestorm

Why you think they deserve the spotlight: Firestorm has been an active plotter and a quick poster. He's committed to doing what makes sense for his characters and following plots to their logical conclusions. I think all of these things are worthy of commendation.

Spotlight Character: Cairo Lou Kaiylla

Why you think they deserve the spotlight: I nommed him last time and I'm doing it again. You may remember, back in the 'cozy cottage' ICC event, that Cairo ruined Chloe's shallow romantic aspirations for that weekend. This was my first major exposure to Cairo as a character, and I was impressed with how Claire handled him and his emotions. I could feel all the insecurity and ambivalence pulsing beneath the surface as I RPed with and around him, and I felt like this was a thought out, fully developed human being. Reading a few of his threads gave me the same impression. So, excellent work @Claire, and show this character some love everyone.

Why you think they deserve the spotlight: I've been paying attention to Sashi a lot this month, really looking at her characters, and i'm really impressed. She really pays a lot of attention to the details of her characters.

Spotlight Character: Alain Straga

Why you think they deserve the spotlight: Alain has taken over Jack's Butcher Shop since the March Virus broke out. A sixteen year old taking such charge, even with his own stuff going on, is a mark of maturity beyond his years. He better at least get Employee of the Month.
And remember, soup's on sale at Jack's.

Spotlight Plot: Narraine and coping

Explain the plot in a paragraph for those who aren't familiar: Already going to school full time and taking care of a young foster child, Narraine has even more emotional turmoil thrown at her when her boyfriend is put in the hospital in the aftermath of an assault.

Hunters and Prey - the thread that started it all.
Where Are you? - a very emotional visit to the hospital.
Whoa is Me, Whoa is You - Stefan tries to contact Jared, but Narrain answers the texts.
Reptiles, Wind and Fire - Narraine takes some time to relax with a new friend, given all her recent stress.

Why you think it deserves the spotlight: Narraine is being put through the wringer right now. Where Are You? in particular is a really emotional read

Spotlight Character: Narraine Arore

Why you think they deserve the spotlight: She has been a wonderful RPC! Nikki in general makes good RPCs, but this one has shined in the recent weeks. Her response to Jared's coma is incredibly emotional and heartfelt. It's hard not to feel bad for her; she's clearly suffering. Yet she also goes beyond depression and shows her true colors as a fighter. She works hard and won't go down without a battle. She's such a perfect blend of vulnerability and strength.
