Spooks to be had

As the sun set over the distant horizon, darkness began to fall on Oceania park. Such of time was a delight for the trickster menreiki Hanako of the Masks for it is during this time that the others are more naturally afraid. Or at least that held true back to her native Japan, here the people seem more accustomed to strangeness and thus more difficult to provoke fear. While she somewhat lamented how difficult it was to scare those around her, she has taken up the challenge for she was the spookiest!

So she waited for the streetlamps to light up and plotted her next scare. As the pathway emptied, Hanaka moved under the light of streetlamp and took on the form of an iPhone 8s with a pink Hello Kitty case to protect it. In her new form, she waits under the streetlamp while her masks disperse as they hide in the foliage and darkness. Now she waits for her next victim to mosey along the concrete path...

After waiting for what felt like an eternity of waiting, Hanako sensed the presence of someone approaching the trap that they set. As the person reaches his hand out onto her current disguise, the iPhone they were reaching for suddenly explodes into a purplish miasma that now obscures the person's vision. Simultaneously, her masks hidden nearby in the bushes burst from the nearby bushes and orbit around her current target. Laughter of several disembodied voices can be heard all around Jophiel as the masks continue to circle around him.

Suddenly, all of the mask drop to the floor while the purplish mist shoots up above the street lamp. Please with her preparations, Hanako gaseous form changes shape and takes on the form of great black raven that lacks eyes. In her new form she cackles and caw at Jophiel as they perch themselves on top of the streetlamp. At the same time, Hanako also eagerly observes what sort of reaction Jophiel will give, expecting them to run away with fright.

The crow tilts its to the person below, seeing that Jophiel was still here. While Hanako could sense that she inspired fear into the person and while she felt proud of her work, she was surprised to see them still here. Would have been more amusing to her if they had run off in their fright but... their frightened reaction was acceptable to her.

"Why. It asks. Why it ask." caw the crow as it melts into a purple miasma, falling to the ground in front of Jophiel. Tendrils of gases reach out the collect the nearby masks scattered around Jophiel and become part of its mass. While doing so, the gas begins to change shape into a girl in white dress but with sickly skin and long stringy black hair draping over her face. Once she has taken form, her head twists to one side as it utters once more.

"Whyyy it ask." croaked Hanako, her hair parting away to reveal a face devoid of any facial feature whatsoever. Then her mask of joy floats up and hides the the blank face of Hanako.

"Fun for Hanako. Like look at funny faces." simply stated Hanako as she floats backwards to give Jophiel some space. Her many masks seemingly dancing around Hanako's feminine form as orbit around her current form. Giving people a good scare was always something that she just did for as long as she could recall.

Hanako perplexed as to why Jophiel was calling out to her as if he was trying to summon her like how some of the students tried to summon her to bring torment to another student. Normally she would follow this up with spooking the person calling out to her instead but... she sort of just did that so no real element of surprise. Spirit of fear however as an amusing title that stroked at Hanako's ego so she just figures to go along with whatever game this person was inviting her on.

"Hanako enjoy fun. Celebrate now." spoke Hanako in her usual dry deadpan voice, her body transforming into a purple smog before transitioning into a cheap floating party blower. The party blower's coiled paper tube extends out as it makes a comical horn-like noise before the paper tube folds back into position. With her small celebration over, Hanako transitions from the party blower to purple smoke and then back to her previous female form.

"Celebration over." she said with any sort of cheer though she covers her face with her fox-like mask of anticipation to try to communicate her excitement. "Work together, scare together. Hanako accept game. Like see mask first."

Hanako then floats just next to Jophiel, curious to see if what he claims he can do is true as that sounds to be a rather peculiar talent to Hanako.
