She was interesting at least. Checking his watch again, he noted how much time they had."Yeah, we have plenty of time."

Marcus followed her into the cafeteria, unsurprised at the number of people. That was why he brought his own food. Sometimes, at least. He noticed her ears were closer to her skull, did she find it too loud? "We can eat together, I guess. Doubt there would be much space here though."

Jii smiled when he agreed to eat with her, and headed in what she thought was the direction of the food. "I'm not so sure what's good here yet, any suggestions? Oh, I don't eat meat by the way, just so you know." Marcus was right about how crowded the large room was, students of all kinds packing the whole place. Her ears went down even further as they passed through the middle of the room, and she winced very slightly. "It's quite loud in here...what do you think would be a better spot to go once I get my food?"

"Oh, So you're a Vegetarian?" Somehow, he didn't expect that. "Don't worry, there's definitely going to be a vegan option. Satyrs and whatnot also eat here." Were there Satyrs? Probably not, but there had to be some people that also didn't eat meat. "Just pick what you think looks most delicious."

The noise must really hurt. "I think just outside would be okay. It shouldn't be too loud out there." Seeing where the queue ended, Marcus gently nudged Jii towards it. "I'll see you at the end. Don't want to waste anybody's time." He grinned.

Jii gave a small nod whenever he asked about her vegetarianism, offering a smile. "Yeah, I've actually only met about three others of my people who do eat meat. They were from way farther north, too, so I'm guessing it's just one or two villages." She grinned at him whenever he nudged her onward, going through the line and returning shortly after with a small salad and a bowl of strawberries. "Eating outside sounds good to me. It's really just a bit loud in here..."

Pushing her into the crowd, Marcus went to stand at his mentioned location. After a moment he saw her in the bodies of people, holding food. Guess she made it.

Catching up with her, he resumed as if she never left. "Only three people? Is it just the culture in your village, or is there a reason behind why you don't meat?" He was interested. Maybe it was common, but this was the first time he acknowledged he was talking to someone truly different. Marcus personally loved his steak.

"Let's go outside, then." He nodded and held open the door for her. "After you."

She nodded as he gestured out the door, taking her tray outside and walking over to a table a short way away. "This looks like a good spot, right?" Hopping up onto a seat, she immediately set to eating her salad. Her ears were perked back up at this point, not having to deal with the noise from inside.

"I guess you could just call it a cultural thing, yeah. It's not that we can't eat meat, it's just that we greatly prefer not to. The only ones I've met that do were from a village much farther north than mine, I guess it's harder for them to find other food."

He nodded to her question, regardless of it being rhetorical. He sat down next to her, and pulled a simple sandwich out of his bag. Marcus noticed how she seemed more at ease, especially due to it being more quiet.

It made sense if they lived in the northern hemisphere. "Which Continent did you come from, Jii?" It had to be something like North America or Europe.

Jii crunched away happily at her food, sipping at her water every now and again. She was generally feeling much better out here, finally able to focus on what Marcus was saying. "Oh, well...our kingdom is called Pixia. Not a whole lot of outsiders seem to know about it. It spans across a thousand or so miles of forest in the north of what I've been told is Canada." She tilted her head a bit and smiled. "Where are you from?"

"Pixia? Does that mean you are called a Pixian, or a Pixie?" Now he found out about a secret Kingdom in Canada. Definitely unexpected, but considering the expanse of woodland in canada, there had to be something there. "How is it unknown? Wont satellites notice it?"

Taking a bit of his sandwich, he thought about it for a moment. "Well, I hail from England, which I guess must be a completely different environment to what you're used to."

Jii just giggled a bit, shaking her head as he guess what her people were called. "Nope, we're Pixans." She kept crunching away at her salad, obviously quite hungry. Nibbling a bit on a strawberry, she tilted her head when he asked how the secrecy of her peoples' settlements was maintained. "Oh, well...all of our villages and cities have an illusory veil over them that the old mystics put in place. It's very hard to see through unless you have some sort of magical sight."

Finishing her strawberry, she grinned, a little bit of juice staining the fur around her mouth. "So, what's England like? Is that another kingdom, and how far away is it?" Always interested in learning about new places, she kept eye contact as she ate, eager to find out about his homeland.
