Sparkle! Sword! TREE!

Little orange ears perked up every now in the bushes, like a submarines scope from the water. The fox ears twitched before they were out of sigh again by the brush as the girl crawled along, looking at everything that surrounded her. Memories from her past were slowly beginning to return, though she was still just as oblivious and forgetful as she always was.

Finally, Nyuu reached a clearing and she sat there, legs spread and her orange eyes gazing up at the sky. Her fox-tail swished back and forth behind her, gathering dirt in it and a few sticks. "Tree!" she stated while looking at the blue mass above her. She had learned some new words — but not their definitions.

Nyuu grinned. "Sparkle! Sword! Tree! Shiny! Sky! NYUU!" She stood up and hopped in a circle, proud of her new vocabulary.

The thirteen-year-old's sensitive nose immediately picked up the scent of blood. A few things were triggered in her memory, but she shook her head, not up to dealing with that right now. She stalked toward the smell, keeping low to the ground. She eventually caught a glimpse of Jira, at which point she jumped up, a few sticks pointing out of her orange hair at all angles.

"Nyuuuu!!!" she greeted, waving frantically.

Nyuu grinned when he slowed down and ran the rest of the way to catch up to him. Once walking at his side, the fox-girl beamed. "Sparkle!!" she exclaimed, showing off her new vocabulary.

Nyuu pouted slightly. Hadn't he noticed her improved speech? She could say two syllable words now! "Sword! Sky! Shiny!" the red-head exclaimed, hoping for a better response this time. There was no denying that she had definitely learned some words... it was just a matter now of if Jira noticed.

Nyuu's eyes shined slightly when he at least responded. "Tree!" she continued on, hoping he would notice soon. "Tree! Tree! Tree!" The fox-girl swished her tail around and jumped, grinning.
