Ahhh, the sound of the ocean always seemed to calm her. Though there was never really anything that she needed to worry about-except the monster that lived inside her-, taking small breaks like these were rare. With her being in college, having her own bakery, as well as having somewhat recently (six months ago) started her first ever relationship. Yes, at 21, her first real interest in someone had sparked her happiness up even higher. He was amazing and she was lucky to have him. Other than that, she was sitting in the sand with her gray scarf on, even though she was wearing black shorts and a tank top. Parrasse had this thing where she always wore it.

Her hand was tracing out a smallish heart in the sand to her right, to which she wrote Rhydian and her name in it. Stupid and cheesy yes, but it made her smile to think that she was so at peace and happy despite everything that could be seem as wrong in her life. A big gust of wind hit her as she sat joyfully, knocking her hair in front of her face. The sound of the waves gave of a lovely hue, though for the sake of her focus, she kept her powers focused on the feeling of the sand, the roughness of the grains were a lot more miniature compared to what her other experiences of sand had felt like. Being from Memphis, it wasn't like she was overflowing with chances to be around the ocean.

Akihiko sighed, taking a drag from his cigarette. This..... Place. This place was slowly getting to him. Hell, he hadn't even been smoking before he came here. Never even thought of using a cancer stick. Now, he had one between his lips at least once a day. Usually multiple times a day, as well.

He exhaled a puff of smoke, before continuing to float off towards the sound of the waves crashing into the beach. The beach.... He hadn't been to many beaches in his life, and had always promised himself to spend a day there, to just sit and relax. Why? His dorm was far more active than he liked.

As he got to the beach, he slightly grimaced. He'd somehow forgotten about the sand. The sand that tended to get everywhere. Akihiko kept afloat as he moved over the sand. He flicked the butt of his cigarette away into the water, before noticing a person sitting some yards away. He briefly wondered if she had sand all in her clothes before floating off towards her.

"Don't happen to have a cigarette, do you?" He took the empty box out of his pocket and shaking it, before returning it to his pocket to be thrown in the trash later.

Hm? There was someone behind her, to her right. Slowly, her head turned towards the question. "U-Um no so-" She stopped herself before patting herself down. Holly was a smoker, which only made Parrasse sick tot he stomach whenever she transformed back. Of course, there was a cigarette in the back left pocket of her shorts. With a sigh, she insistently turned her body halfway, and extended her arm out with the cigarette to the man. "Seems I do actually." The smile on her face was innocent, as she hadn't remembered her other half placing a death stick there.

"I would appreciate it if you faced a few feet from me; the smell makes me sick." But then to that, she waved her hand dismissively. "Sorry, that sounds awfully rude." Her southern accent was obvious as she decided to pat to the left of her. "The wind is coming from my back anyways, so then you won't feel left out, and I won't get sick."

He nodded politely, turning to depart graciously, before noticing the woman giving herself a pat down out of his peripheral. He tilted his head curiously, watching her, before smiling when she pulled a cigarette out of her pocket. He noted her somewhat sad sounding sigh, but it pushed it to the back of his mind as he took his lighter out of his pocket. It wasn't the kind he liked, but it'd do. Next time he wouldn't go out all willy nilly without being prepared. He tilted his head curiously at her next sentence..... Didn't like the smell, but had a cigarette in her pocket?

This was curious indeed. Akihiko kept from lighting the cigarette and put his lighter back in his pocket, sitting down where she patted. "Not a worry, people are rude to me all the time." He chuckled dryly. "I'm used to it." He looked at her, studying her curiously. Why did she seem so put-off by the idea of cigarettes.... But have one in her back pocket? Interesting, he thought, before pushing the cigarette into his pocket as well. He sat and watched the waves, dreadlocks flowing slightly around him. He briefly wondered how one would get sick from exposure to a single cigarette's second hand smoke, before pushing it to the side.

"What's a nonsmoker like yourself doing with a cigarette out on the beach this wonderfully nice day? He looked to her again, the hint of a friendly smile at his lips.

"You seem very nice though!" Her happiness radiated through to her words as she spoke to the man. They were close, and even as their bodies were folded in half as they sat side by side and looked out at the many waves. There was a slight chill in the air, but not enough for Parrasse to want to leave. The ocean was special, and considering she wasn't spending the night with her boyfriend, there was no need to worry about the time.

"O-Oh." She got toe-tied, as that answer was long and rather complex. The girl herself didn't even understand it, to explaining it wasn't successful. Due to this, it was usually much better to show it. "You see, I guess you can say I have an alter-ego, or another personality that likes to smoke." The shyness of the topic was obvious as she tapped her right hand in the sand. "It's hard to explain." With that, he hoped that he wouldn't want to go any deeper into the topic.
