APPEARANCE
You probably couldn’t tell based on sight what Sophie’s been through. She doesn’t have any (visible) scars, and does usually have a bit of a small smile on her face. Though she does have one tell. Her eyes.
Sophie’s purplish eyes have always held emotion, and by looking at them you can probably tell what she’s thinking.
Physically, though, she’s an average height for her age; though a bit more on the thin side. Sophie has below-shoulder-length light blonde hair, often with a small bow in it. She’s always worn a necklace of silver, though it’s not always visible. Sophie dresses casually, though may sometimes wear a cute little bow tie.

PERSONALITY
To start, Sophie is extremely shy. She rarely talks unless asking a question or unless someone talks to her first. She does have a gentle and kind voice, and speaks somewhat stuttery if something catches her off-guard. Sophie is quite easily flustered, as she’s not all too used to kindness or people caring about her.
Part of this shyness is a noticeable distrust towards others. Even Sophie isn’t quite sure why; if she’s afraid of losing someone; if she’s afraid of something happening to herself. Whatever the case, she has a bit of a difficult time warming up to people.

POWERS
Emotion Sensory. Sophie can sense the emotions of those around her. This is not experiencing the emotion, but is more like a sixth sense of ‘this person is sad’. This only works on conscious, sentient beings within ten feet of her. It is passive, and she cannot turn it off.
HISTORY
Sophie grew up in an odd realm. One where the old ‘Once upon a time’ fairytales actually existed. Or, at least, versions of them did.
The realm was actually in quite a state of war and chaos. But this wasn’t quite like the fairytales. The ‘good guys’ weren’t winning at all this time. The villains had won, and were lead by the Witch Queen. They had killed and captured the heroes. Of course, with every ruler comes a rebellion against them. And the famous Little Red Riding Hood was one of these rebels.
Riding Hood, her husband, and her daughter, Sophie, were taken prisoner and brought before one of the Queen’s lieutenants, the Big Bad Wolf, while Sophie was at the age of 10.
Sophie watched, completely powerless, as the Wolf’s son brutally killed Sophie’s father. Sophie watched, completely powerless, as he died. Sophie watched, and her eyes held a jumble of emotions. Sorrow, anger, frustration, horror, pain... it all showed.
Sophie and her mother were taken back, and they hatched a plan to get her out of the prison. While the Queen’s forces seemed weakened, she broke out and ran. Sophie ran quite far away, forced to leave her mother behind. She met.. someone, they didn’t specify who, who’d offered her the chance to go somewhere safe. Somewhere different. Sophie went without hesitation.
In the blink of an eye, she was now in the U.S, in California. She lived amongst humans for a while until an Academy scout’d found her. They took her to the Islands at the age of 12, where she has just arrived.
While still occasionally plagued by negative or worrying memories of home, Sophie is happy on the islands so far.
