Though he had the upper hand in battle, the battle in his head was not winning. Looking at his friend, he knew if he had made her say "ouch" or anything of the sort he wouldn't forgive himself. That is what he murdered people for....

As she looked upon him, one would describe Valentine as an outward thinker. He had a perplexed sort of look on his face, one that looked towards the ground. His mouth shriveled in anger then went to a worried one.

The glass went to his hand in the form of the glass rose. "Sorry...you would have won. I was losing power...and too rapidly to have done anything to you. I guess...you win, unless you care to beat the crap out of me." He smiled, truly wondering what she would do.

She looked at him perplexed. "You know you wouldn't have killed me.... I'm a vampire, not easy to kill. Anyway even if you were losing power, you still had the upperhand and could've easily caught me unaware." She eyed him. "You could've won easily if you wanted. But I think you were holding back."

She pondered over why. "Anyway, I don't beat people unless they've wronged someone in some way, you haven't. Something held you back." She thought over reasons for not beating and killing or hurting someone. She only had one thought that filled her mind, she hated the posiblity too. He was acting way too nice, she couldn't stop thinking maybe he liked her... In the bf/gf way.

She didn't know what to say, she remained silent. Why did he ponder during the fight? Why has he been so nice? Please don't tell me he was really hitting on me when he said the roof at 3rd period. She had a odd confused, pondering, look on her face combined with shock.

"Let's just say...I killed someone for hurting my friend long ago...he deserved it...in every way...." Probably why I tortured him to death also. His eyes looked down, almost ashamed yet trying to hide the evil within him. Walking along Valentine looked at the cieling and sighed dreaily.

He looked at his watch. It was 5:46 pm. Wow...time flies by I guess. Valentine kept walking around wondering just why she was so...suspicious of him.

She walked alongside him confused, she pondered if she should ask him. But she didn't want to make a odd situation, but she didn't want to think something if it was or wasn't true. She sighed and looked at him.... "Valentine..... do you um.... like me?" She asked her eyebrows furrowed in thought she wondered what he would reply.... And if she asked the question clear enough....

Without any hesitancy, he responded, "Yea, as a friend. We are friends right?" Valentine looked at her with his head tilited. "I hope that is what you mean by 'like. I haven't ever kissed a girl on the cheek outside of my family yet, and I just want one girl in my life. Right now, I can't see myself with someone who I just met a couple hours ago and live up to that expectation." Valentine felt so...soft. It was an odd experience for him. Here he was giving out secrets left and right.

She let out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness... I was scared to death you were hitting on me the whole time. And then for you to not let the glass hit me. I was afraid you'd be losing your mind and I quite frankly am not ready for a relationship since I've never had a friend. I don't think I could ever have a relationship with a man... My father was such a... jerk." She stopped short then finished the thought. Why was she telling him this? They had practically just met. She had to stop letting her guard down so easily. She decided she'd let him be the only person she told but that was it.

He laughed some, but his eyes then went down, thinking of his own parents. "Yea, mine sent me wherever anyone else wanted. That is how I got here really..." His eyes looked about his surroundings. Phew, no one is here

"Right now we should just help each other through life, since our lives are similar, but yet, my parents died from a fire upon my house." He sighed, relieved yet saddened by his parents three year dissapearance.

She didn't want to tell him too much... She knew it'd just flood her mind with memories of hate and disceit. She just wanted to forget her past. She never truely knew her real mother. She didn't want to talk about her dad, she sighed... "I'm sorry..." She said both reffering to his loss but also in her mind about not feeling like she should tell about her father. She wanted to look down but forced herself not to so he wouldn't ask what was wrong.

Engulfing the ploy, he looked down, and then at her. "Well, what is in the past is the past. We can not change it...otherwise I would have." He looked and leaned against a tree, the suns rays pouring onto his stomach. Valentine's hands went through his hair, the teenager feeling the warmth with the cold sting of the air.

Valentine remembered a similar scene long ago, telling his aspirations to the air around him. He never had a true friend, for he was too quiet, and not the greatest guy to hang with.

"Do you have any goals in life?"

She sighed.... "I did.... but I realized recently it's not the best goal." She looked across the landscape. "I sometimes wish I could just escape the world and past and be free, happy...." She looked at a bird flying along the sky, it looked free of care flying along so happy and free. Se remembered a bird much like that when she was a girl. She remembered right after it's happy gaity someone shot it. She looked away from the bird quickly and back to Valentine.

"So do you have any goals in life?"
