"I sometimes wish I could just escape the world and past and be free, happy...."

Valentine considered that...so long ago, yet it would be so selfish just to escape this world...his past. Just for his happiness also. Sure...there were not a lot of people who loved him, but the ones who did would suffer. When I know the hearts of men, I shall be free, happy.

"So do you have any goals in life?"

The elderly teenager looked up and sighed. "My dream was to become an artist...to revolutionize with my powers instead of destroy. After I went to my old school...it changed. Such a world we live in doesn't care for the revolutionary, but instead throws them out and calls them rejects....My dream now is to stand up and fight the organizations out there stopping those that cause such misery. She felt guilty... Her main goal in life was to clean the world of trash. Mainly men who were jerks. To hear one guy one man tell her he wanted to help people. She felt guilt from wanting only to kill the people who offend or hurt women, she didn't care about the men. She sighed looking down not realizing that she had.

She thought about the rotten things she had done fingering out only the men. Leaving women who presacute men alone. She thought about how foolish she had been only picking on her father when because of his mistress she had become a half vampire.

Valentine lifted her up with his two fingers, like his loving mother had to him when he was a child. He tried to have his voice be soft, compassionate, and caring, the three things he thought a friend actually should be. "Don't sweat it. We all have to have direction in our lives at some point. Just stand up for what you believe in. If you do, you can change this world."

Valentine smiled sincerely for the first time in a long time with his hands behind his head. "The clouds, how they move so freely in the sky, drifting away towards who knows what. I guess they do nothing but cry...."

A soft smile slowly came to her face, he wasn't like most guys. He was nice, she didn't feel as upset he seemed to not let people's past affect him. She was glad he wasn't like the men she had known in her life. She hardly thought he could be the one since she never thought about relationships with interest.

She heard him say something it was quite poetic... She liked it it was quite true the clouds drift... But she continued the thought.... "They have no glory either... To some they're a sore to the eye. But to the dreamer, neither do they see them cry, for the clouds look like heavens, to those who have big dreams. 'Tis why the clouds are drifting, over hills and streams. They're searching for the dreamer who wants to see his dreams." She looked at the clouds thinking about how often she cried under them and how often they had comforted her.

Valentine's heart peered at the sky. "I see the clouds within you, Amelia. They aren't crying, but are white and wandering." Valentine could only think of a couple days ago, where he would never imagine himself being with a friend.

"Then again...the clouds have forms for all to see." He sighed, looking up at Amelia as she stared at the clouds. "To some...they are an eyesore...but to others, they are like stars in the night, guiding those in need to freedom."

She felt something soft in her heart... She never felt it before she wondered if she was feeling okay. She had heard of heart attacks, she figured this wasn't since she wasn't a complete human. She looked at the clouds smiling, the words Valentine had said were so true. She never in a million years thought she be talking with a guy like a human.

She glanced down at Valentine and smiled.... "You do realize that your the first guy I have treated like a human." She smiled and chuckled lightly... "I guess one goal in my mind the most is to help this kid named Sonlath.... He has a girl who likes him, he likes her I know it. And there's something keeping him from being happy."

At the mention of Sonlath, he shrugged, not knowing who this child is. "Why do you know this girl in any way? I mean, I think the meaning of dating is a test for marriage...so if they are too young, just give it some time. The other child, Sonlath...what keeps him from being so happy? I mean, everyone has something that makes them happy."

Valentine sighed, wondering who was this child (even though technically he does know him.)

"I'm not saying I want them to take a big step... I'm saying that they could be dear friends. He seems to just push everyone away, he's always sad. He needs friends and people who care. That's the only reason this girl might be good for him. But he needs to stop living in a world where drugs are okay. I've been trying to discover a way to stop him from wrecking his life." She looked at Valentine...

"I've seen a lot of pain in my time... his isn't too much different but he is. I was once like him not a druggie but I once wanted no one close. He's afraid I sense it. I want to help him so he can live a happy life unlike... Unlike mine." She said with a sigh...

A thought flickered in his mind that made his eyes widen for a moment as the realization came to him That kid! "No...that kid is suffering...I know him." he sighed talking about him, since he did try to do it physically. "Kids that smoke have been taught it...and when I find out who taught him, they are going to be in a world of pain. That child better stop...I will be on him...like a glass shard in the pocket of a twelve year old."

She stared at Valentine an eyebrow raised.... "You do realize you sound like a nut." She said these words the expression still on her face... "Sonlath wants attention... I know why he acts so.... it's just figuring out how to change him. I think he needs friends, I've tried the yelling at and that. I think it's best to be soft and kind to him. But have a firm hand with the drugs. Kinda like a mother and father with their children... Or what they're supposed to be."

She looked at the clouds... "You know... He seemed to like it when I invited him over to dinner. He seemed like a different person almost. I think he needs to feel that people care. But also feel a strong hand pulling him away from his comforts of drugs. Maybe he needs to see what drugs will do."
