Ain felt that she was about to pick him up but the girl was hard to read, the only thing he did notice was hesitation at doing so. When she brough up the protective magic, he used his Magical Investigation ability, the ability added a faint purple glow to his eyes and he could now see the magic around her. While being able to see it clearly he put out his hand and grabbed Ria's arm, it was a test of sorts to see what effect it had on him, the feeling was like a static shock that pulsed through his hand and down his arm.

'Hmm, an innate protective magic, she probably has no control over it similar to my own curse.'
he though as he held onto her arm for a bit to see if it would have any more negative effects, his violet eyes looking up at Ria's face. When it appeared to be just that static shock and didn't seem to effect him any more than that he released her arm. 'It will be fine, I have felt pretty... different lately.' It was clear to him that despite how he was feeling, he had changed in a weird way and maybe had not felt as much of the magic around Ria as he should have.

He than nodded to her, to try to tell her everything was fine to continue.

When the man, after getting a strange glow in his eyes, grabbed Ria's arm she tensed up and prepared herself for an attack of some sorts. Her coating flared and it's effect would've felt like static electricity. Ria squeezed her hands in fists and out of instinct activated her empathy to look for ill intent. But she found none. Instead the man held onto Ria's arm for a second, and then let go. Ria frowned and was able to relax. She observed the man for any other signs of threat he might show. But Ria didn't pick up anything. So she, after flexing her arms slightly, bend down a bit and lifted the man with surprising ease for someone her size. The man's weight was nothing comoared to the weights Ria normally used.
"My name is Ria. I suspected you would like to know. There is no need to name yourself if you are not capable or don't wish to. What direction should I go into?"
After saying all that Ria would start walking to the direction the man pointed at, carrying him firmly but with practised gentleness.

Ain was now being carried by the girl, her arms under his back and legs respectively, the close proximity to her not immediately bothering him. He did feel a little awkward with the whole ordeal but he was thankful to the girl and wanted to repay her for her kindness; probably not now, but someday. He noted that her name was Ria and regreted that he could not tell her his name inb return.

With Ria completely in control of the movement, he had placed his trust in another stranger, and pointed down the street. It would take a while to get there as he had jogged here for quite a while, but he worried that the silence would be uncomfortable for Ria.

Pointing down the street, he intended to lead her...

Ria was not bothered bybthe close proximity aside from the fact, that the man's aura was still affecting her and making her want to drop him and immediately back away several meters. Ria did still not completely trust the man, but he had not done anything suspicious yet and seemed genuinely injured. But Ria kept her empathy activated in case there would be hostility. There wasn't for now, just slight awkwardness and gratefulness, also hint of regret, which weren't alarming. Rather, they were normal. It was hard to believe such fear originated from this seemingly stoic man.

Ria proceeded along the street with a quick pace, but she kept her arms steady as a rock. She had really gotten to train keeping her arms steady while waitressing. Ria wasn't personally bothered by the silence, she was used to it and it was understandable since the man was unable to speak. Ria picked up some worry from the man and glanced at him. What was he worried about?
Ria couldn't keep tapping into his emotions like this, it was morally wrong.
"I didn't inform you, but I have the ability of empathy. I can sense other people's feelings. I was monitoring your state of mind in case of any hostile feelings, but as I have now ascertained you have none and are not a threat. I apologize for doing it without your consent."

Ain heard her words and felt a little self conscious about the whole thing, now that he knew she could feel what he felt he tried his best to clear his thoughts, his violet eyes soon falling on her fluffy ears and he felt like he really wanted to give them a rub. Oh, don't think about that she will notice.

His hand that may have wanted to touch her ears pulled back into his chest, it was a terrible thought that he should really keep to himself.

As they reached the end of the street, he thought he rememgered the way back to the house being just a bit further and pointed the way; it would only be a few more minutes.

Ria stopped using her empathy on the man but before she did she could catch a hint of an urge to do something. Ria glanced at the man and saw him momentarily look at her ears. Ria frowned a bit, what did the man want to do to her ears? Though Ria was quite sure he wanted to touch them. Ria had experienced on this island that her ears were quite irresistable to some, she had already lost count at how many children had petted or asked if they could pet her ears. Suppose they were fluffy and looked soft.
But naturally this obviously grown-up man didn't pet her ears, Ria would've seriously doubted his judgment if he had. And Ria was not going to offer, her ears were sensitive around the tip.

They reached the end of the street and the man pointed Ria to a new direction. Ria's arms, due to the exhaustion after work, were getting a bit tired and were shaking just the slightest bit. So she kept her pace quick, she wanted to get home and sleep. Well, after properly making sure this man got home.

It was then that they arrived in front of Celeste's house and he hand out in a stopping motion and pointed at the house. It was an old victoria house (The house is freestanding) with a large backyard, a few fruit trees out back, a copplestone path leading to a gazebo, and looked like it was freshly fixed up by someone.

Ain pointed up to the house and led her up the brickwork porch to the front door, at which he tapped her shoulder to put him down before Celeste saw him being carried by a girl because that would be really embarrassing. His left shoulder was dislocated and he had a twist in his right ankle, but he might be able to hop inside... maybe.

He looked at Ria appreciatively and nodded to her, not knowing if she would put him down until he was inside or not.

When they arrived t the house Ria took a second to admire it. The house was impressive, the kind even someone like Ria with almost no eye for aesthetics could call beautiful. But soon enough she followed the man's directions and headed to the porch. On the porch Ria did carefully set the man down. But almost immediately after she dug out her human shape charm, putting it on her. After she grew to her human size Ria supported the man by his other shoulder, still being strong enough in this form to take pretty much of his weight.
"Do you live alone in this residence? I will see to it that you get inside, as I already shouldered the duty of assisting you."

Hearing noises outside the front door - she was just coming down from upstairs, getting ready for classes - Celeste opened the door and saw, Ain leaning or being held up by a pretty blonde-haired girl. Glancing at both of them in surprise, it slowly dawned on Celeste that Ain was supposed to be inside, resting...

"What are you doing out of bed?" she demanded quite angry now as he gaze fully took in the young girl holding him up and guessed that he had hurt himself - again.

"Could you bring him inside, please?" she said in a politer, less aggressive way to the young woman. It was not her fault the elf had sneaked away. She was probably only trying to help him, Celeste mused as she stepped to one side and let them in the house.

Ain shuddered a little when he saw Celeste, he had hoped to get inside without seeing her but even if he did that it would be hard to explain away his fresh injuries. He felt apologetic, and a bit of shame that he couldn't even keep care of himself these days. Every choice he had made was a bad one, it wasn't really a surprise as he had always made bad choices throughout his life, but he thought that he had changed for the better by now.

Looking at Celeste, he gave her an apologetic look to try to show that he was reflecting on his actions. He then looked at Ria calmly, than also to the open door leading inside, he would need her help to walk even if she was in her blond haired purple eyed human form.
