Small Miracles

Adelina smiled when he took her hand. "I'm feeling fine," she said with a laugh. He probably didn't want to get on her bad side for today in case she wasn't in a great mood. He could be so funny sometimes.

In a moment, she blinked, looking at her stomach. Oh, no. Was the baby coming? She didn't know how to tell for sure, but she had a feeling it was. "Andrew.... I think the baby's coming. NOW."

Adelina sighed, beginning to feel some pain in her stomach. "Would I kid about something like this?!" she asked, looking around, not knowing what to do. She was officially panicking. "Where is everything we had ready for this? Did we even HAVE something ready for this?! PANICKING!!!!"

Adelina nodded, beginning to take deep breaths. She didn't know if that would help or not with giving birth, but she knew it might calm her. She squeezed his hand, and once they were at the hospital wing, looked at him. "Get someone's attention. I'm not going to be patient," she said.

Adelina couldn't keep track of everything the nurse was asking her. She could only concentrate on the pain of this and making sure she continued to breathe. "Just shut up..." she finally told the nurse, laying down on the bed. "Shut up, get me some pain killer, or, even better, just get these little kids out of me!!"

Adelina tried to breathe. Her breaths were shaky, both when she inhaled and exhaled. She looked at the nurse, not knowing if there was supposed to be this much pain. Then again, it was childbirth; of course this was going to be painful.

After a while, the pain medication had begun to work, though for some reason, she was still in slight pain. She had just given birth to her son. Alright. one down, one to go.
