Zeke smiled, blushing a little, "that's very kind of you, I'll try to come often, I can only pick the dream I visit once a week, but maybe I'll figure out how to do it more. Maybe I can stay in a door sometimes so I can be in range." He'd never had a reason to use it before, but now he had a friend to share dreams with.

Moving his finger the cloud would float forward, taking then through the village. "Thank you for this Lycia," he'd say, looking over at her, focusing he'd form another construct from the cloud, this one a puppy that would yip and bounce around her.

"Want to see some pieces of my home?" he'd ask, flicking his finger the cloud would lift them up and over the wall. There away from the village he'd form copies of big ben, the London Bridge and few other landmarks, "I came from a pretty big city, it used to rain a lot," he'd say with a chuckle, making a little rain fall on the landmarks.

He'd look over at her, "so uh....after we wake up..d-did you want to hang out more in the real world?" he'd ask, his cheeks flushing.

Lycia didn't know how his dream walking worked so all she could really do was let him know he could come if he wanted and then hope that he actually would. He was nice and seemed fun enough to be around. Besides, not many other people could actually change things in her dreams like he was doing so there was a certain excitement to having him pop in.

Lycia practically squealed with happiness when he conjured the cute little puppy and she immediately took it onto her arms as it licked her face and wagged its tail. "Thank you!" she chirped right back as she cuddled and petted the puppy. "I am very glad you came to my dream tonight." It was a completely honest statement. Zeke could thank her for making the dream world or inviting him there, but as far as she was concerned he was the one doing something for her. Showing her new things and spending time having fun with her.

She didn't have to really answer, of course she would be thrilled to see anything he wanted show her. Lycia held the puppy protectively in her arms as she marveled at the landmarks he summoned into the landscape. A massive tower with what looked like a sundial but not, made of some unusual stone and glass. Other large structures made of metal and stone, far more modern than anything she had ever dreamed of at home. She knew about cars and office buildings and whatnot from how other people had described parts of Manta Carlos City but these were far more beautiful. And she could actually see them while she was in the dream.

Lycia couldn't speak for a while, she was too engrossed in everything he was showing her. She even leaned off the seat as far as she dared to get a better look. If she had gone much further she probably would have fallen off the cloud.

And then Zeke brought her attention back to him with a question. "Oh..," she started as she turned back towards him and settled back into the seat. "Yes I would like that. I can not see you out there but... I will remember how you look," she smiled warmly and drew her hand up slowly towards his blushing face as if she was going to touch it. But then she felt the dream about to shift. Like changing the channel, but softer and more of a transition than just cutting to something new.

She stood up as shimmering wings of silver began to form on her back, not summoned purposely by her but apparently her subconscious was moving them along to something else. With a quick "Follow me!" that started fading into the distance as she darted into the air she tried to draw him into something even more fun than floating on a cloud. Flying through the warm air currents above a sea of sand dunes on a bright, clear day.

He'd smile when she said yes, she seemed different than anyone he's met. So kind and full of life, wanting adventures and excitement. He would have let her touch his face, even as his heart sped up a tiny bit as her hand neared, yes he liked hanging out with her.

Then the dream shifted and she flew up with wings, calling for him to follow. He'd form similar wings and spring into the air, conjuring a burst of air to give him a little speed to catch up. "You're fast," he'd say with a chuckle as he flew besides her, "this is so amazing." He'd look down at the dunes of sand, it was beautiful in its own way.

Flying down he'd flip to where he was flying upside down a little ways underneath her. He'd chuckle a bit as he looked up at her, "the wings.....they look good on you," he'd say a little shyly, "you're the only other person I've met like me....who can do this with dreams."

Lycia soared through the air with her silvery wings glinting in the warm, bright glow of two stars. The light dazzled the eyes as she banked and rolled through the air and her exuberant cheers could be heard even at a distance. For modesty her short airy dress had shifted to something more like a tight set of knee-length breeches and similarly tight shirt to keep from blowing around. Her hood ripping off and her hair becoming long braids down her back Had she been in full control of the dream it probably would have been something more fantastic like full body dragon scales.

She looked over at the sound of rushing air and smiled at Zeke as he caught up easily. "It is amazing. With wings I can go fast and I am not stuck on the ground," she yelled out over the noise of the wind whipping past them. It was no wonder that this was a fairly common part of her dreams. Just casually taking off to soar through the sky without a care in the world.

Lycia watched as Zeke dove down a little ways towards the sand dunes and then came back up underneath her as she continued flying. She giggled cheerfully as she looked down at him with his own wings. "Your wings are beautiful too. We are like jeweled birds," she unabashedly exclaimed. Lycia wasn't shy about many things. Whether that was talking to people or sharing things about herself.

In fact, she boldly lowered herself a little closer so she could take Zeke by the hands as they flew. Guiding him through barrel rolls and loops before rising up again. "I did not think I would meet a person with a gift like mine. I am very glad to know you Zeke," she said very honestly and with a heartfelt tone. It was like the most beautiful of coincidences that somehow the strange world she had been sent to had others with powers connected to dreams like hers. Not exactly the same of course, but close enough.

As they reached a certain height, Lycia turned the tow of them back towards the ground and tucked her wings in. The goal being for them to start into a spiraling dive straight towards the ground. Her eyes shown brightly with anticipation and excitement. But her mouth twitched a little and her body tensed up, revealing the fact that she was actually nervous. While Zeke, like any of the other dreamers, could never be seriously injured in the dream, Lycia was treated differently. She could be hurt or even killed within the dream world and she would remember the pain as if it actually happened for real. Of course her real body would be completely unharmed but that still gave her cause to be a little nervous. It sure didn't stop her though.

"I'm an average looking guy, you're the beautiful one," he'd say before immediately blushing when he realized what he'd said, anything close to flirting was new to him.

Zeke smiled and blushed a bit when she said she was glad that they met. That meant a lot to him, not many people had ever been glad to meet him, it was there fault, the blame went to his eyes, but still. The idea that he could make someone happy by spending time with them was really nice.

He'd gently squeeze her hands when she held them, flying with her, letting her guide their way. He wasn't sure what the proper etiquette for visiting a dream really was, but he didn't want to alter it to much, and she did know it's layout.

As they flew he'd notice the nervous body language, he had a lot of it so recognized when he saw it. He'd give her a reassuring smile, "hey its ok, I'm not gonna let go," he's wings moved in sync with hers, helping support them, "I'm here." He didn't know that she could be harmed by dreams, but he knew they could feel real and be scary through that sometimes.

The compliment wasn't lost on Lycia and she grinned. Beautiful had never really been a compliment people gave her in the real world. Maybe cute or excitable, but not beautiful. It had happened a few times in the dram world while she didn't look like herself, but not like this.

So she continued giggling and cheering with delight as they swooped through the air. Right up until the more obvious nervousness showed she appeared to just simply be happy. Fully enjoying the moment without a care at all. Lycia sort of misunderstood the squeezing on her hands and tightened her grip, thinking maybe Zeke was slipping away or something.

Together they tucked into a dive, spiraling down like a corkscrew with the wing whipping past them. "Thank you, that gives me much comfort," she replied honestly, raising her voice to be heard over the wind. With him holding on tight she wasn't so likely to just plummet to her death and turn the dream into a nightmare.

Lycia held only Zeke tightly as they dove and then before they could smash into the ground they flared their wings out wide, putting a whole lot of force on them like they had just gone down the steepest rollercoaster possible. And it was a good thing that Zeke was there too, as Lycia's wings seemed to catch too much air and silvery shards of her wings began cascading off.

Had Zeke not been there she surely would have crashed. Maybe not badly enough to kill, but certainly enough to break bones badly. She yelped in a moment of sheer panic and pulled herself into Zeke for help. Her heart beating rapidly and her eyes wide with terror, even more so than was probably appropriate. The wind began to whip up and a great wall of sand began to blow up from the west. A sandstorm.

It seemed a lot like the more scared Lycia was getting the more her dream was contorting into a nightmare.

He sensed the shift the dream, felt the growing dream beginning to lace through it. A nightmare was overtaking the dream, fear was pushing away the happy sense of adventure the drum previously held. He wrapped his arms around her, the sandstorm approaching them fast, he needed to do something.

Zeke could feel the dream resisting his attempts to take control, she was a dream walker like him so he sorta expected that. Focusing again he'd take a different approach, a mound of special pillows appeared and he directed them to land on them. A colorful room forming around them and the pillows to protect them from the sand.

The half nightmare boy hadn't been able to quite change the dream entirely, but he'd managed to form a little haven got them. "Hey, it's ok," he'd say soothingly to her as they laid in the pillows, his arms still protectively around her. "Nothing is going to hurt you here."

Sitting up, he'd brush a bit of hair from her face. "All storms pass, and I'll stay here, and help you get through this one," he felt braver here, in the dream world, but something about this girl made him feel bolder in general.

Lycia closed her eyes and held onto Zeke as they plummeted out of the sky. Her wings continued falling apart and although they didn't hurt it wasn't a fun sensation. And then they tumbled into... a pile of pillows? Instead of rough sand she found herself lying on some of the softest pillows she'd ever felt. Oh, and still being held by Zeke.

Lycia opened her eyes and took in the small cozy shelter he'd made for them. "Thank... you..," she whispered as the sounds of the sandstorm blowing outside and around their little haven made it a little harder to hear. Things could hurt her in her dreams. Could, had, and would in the future. But not right then.

She closed her eyes again and curled up there for a couple minutes as the storm raged. Lycia didn't seem bothered when he reached over to brush some of her wilder hair out of the way. Instead she focused on her breathing and slowly but surely she calmed down. She was safe and whatever hold the nightmare had on her waned.

Finally things seemed to be calm and she sat back up, trying to brush her hair back into some semblance of decency. "Sorry you were here for that. I do not usually have many nightmares," she apologized. As she spoke though her outfit changed back to her more usual short dress with her shoulder mostly bare and a light hood over her head. No shoes or socks, just the way she liked to be when she was comfortable.

Lycia looked around to marvel at where they were and then smiled at Zeke. "This is a lot of pillows," she giggled and picked one up to bonk him in the face with. Seemingly returning to her normal silly and adventurous self. It was like she had been a different person during the nightmare, or at least she had lost control over herself here in the dream just as much as she had lost control of the dream itself.

"It's ok," he'd give her a smile, "I'm just happy that I was able to help." Ironically helping stop the nightmare probably went against everything his species stood for, but he didn't care, she'd needed help, and he'd happily provided it.

He'd laugh when she bonked him with the pillow. Picking one up he'd bonk the top of her head in return. "Nice soft pillows for us to lay in," he'd gently bonk her once more. "When I'm stressed I like making a pillow nest and crawling into it, thought you might like it too."

Focusing he'd make a few pillows float around them, cheery circus music playing. "So a nice pillow room just for you Lycia," he'd say with a chuckle, "you were nice enough to share your dream, so I want to do nice things for you too."

She nodded happily. "You did help me a lot. I think if you were not here I would be in a lot of pain," she admitted honestly. It would not have been the first time her flight ended with an unplanned and improper landing.

Her hair sort of puffed out around her as he thumped down with the pillow. She was already giggling and it turned to full on, uproarious laughter as they swung their pillows back and forth. To an outsider it probably would have seemed really childish. To Lycia though it was fun and that was pretty much all that mattered. "I do like it. When I have stress that makes me upset I like to go to sleep. Here I can pet many animals or fly or anything I want," she said dreamily. It wasn't the healthiest of responses to stress but so much of her was focused on coming back to this dream world. Plus half the time she was seeing the 'adventure' and 'excitement' of whatever bad things were happening.

She clapped at the little show of floating pillows, but really it was the strange music that caught her attention the most. She turned her head to the side as if that would let her hear it better and sat there listening. Before long she was tapping her fingers along to the tune.

"Thank you for the pillow room, and for wanting to do nice things for me. It makes me very happy," she beamed. And then she leaned back into part of the pile of pillows nearer to the wall.

As she lay there enjoying the moment, part of the wall pulled apart behind her and a big hairy animal's head slowly snuck it's way inside, snuffling around in the pillows. Lycia turned her head and let out a soft sound of surprise and delight as she wrapped her arms around the some what bovine or yak-like creature. Hugging the thing like it was some kind of huge pet.

Outside there was low grunting and other sounds almost like mooing as a small herd of adult versions of this desert bovine type creature milled about

"They are called Natau, they are very nice," she explained to Zeke as she was licked in the face by the one she was hugging. Giggling of course ensued.
