He smiled as she began to cry in happiness, the tears making the grass sparkle as the eighteen year old rose. Slowly difting towards her, Valentine wrapped his arms around her and drew her close to him. "Hey, even when you are happy, I don't want you to cry." His head leaned upon Amelia's then, his eyes looking to hers. "No girlfriend of mine is ever going to cry. But, we are going to take things slowly, alright, no matter how foolish or stupid my ex was. Even though she took something, she also gave me insight. She taught me that...even though I mix up courting and dating...that...I should still consider taking things slowly, even though I wish to marry them. I need to enjoy the relationship."

She smiled looking into his eyes she loved him so much. Her eyes sparkled she held onto him tightly. She never felt so wonderful, she never felt more loved. His arms around her holding her close. She never thought or dreamed this could be real. Her heartbeat quickened.

His head continued to lean on hers. "So, are you ready for that commitment? If not, we can always go back to friends who happen to like each other. It would prove to be fruitful..." Valentine was too content though to back out now. Amelia...going to be his girlfriend...this was something that he ran away from. It was so odd....stupid Percy. He practically set them up. How did he know...how did he know....

"Valentine, I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with anyone else but you." She said holding onto him tightly her arms going under his up onto his back holding him close with her hands. "So... yes."

A slight giggling was heard from beyond the lawn, in the brush just outside. Shaking his head he could only have heard it from the girls in the dorm. Sheesh...they were all right...it was so odd. How so many people could be so right. Was this relationship the right thing to go to? Was he just succumbing to the pier pressure?

She heard them too, ignoring them they still were wrong that they had been in a relationship. And as far as them being right Amelia didn't care so long as the man she loved was in her arms. She was fine.

He smiled, seeing her ignore the girls that they met in the dorms, he decided to do the same. Valentine cotninued to hug her until one of the three girls went out the other two beckoning her to come back. She began to stomp as Valentine recognized her as the woman he "stood up."

"I knew it all along! You two were together from the start! Well, Valentine I just hope you know that when you are dying because she sucked the blood from your neck that you don't come squirming towards me!" She looked at him, ready to strike him when she realized she was on the gewy ground beside the bush.

He violently pushed her down into the mud. "Actually, you were wrong, we just got together. Also, I would mind if you left her alone, otherwise, you might have more to do than just clean up your laundry." He smiled somewhat evilly towards her, his eyes glistening with avengement.

Amelia laughed lightly, then her face grew serious. "If you even think about touching my Valentine, you better run as fast as you can missy because you'll have one very angry vampire running at you in super speed ready to wring your little neck." She said with a smirk. "Also.... go take a bath." She said with a laugh watching the aggreviated girl move in the muck.

Amelia smiled, Valentine was her Valentine. What a fitting name for her sweetheart. She looked at him love in her eyes. The angry girl moving away madder then anything. "Valentine, what a fitting name you have." She said looking in his eyes, her's sparkling.

"Oh no...one thing that I don't want, are puns for my name. It is bad enough that people remark at me being called Valentine and I am born on Valentine's day. Stupid mom...always did make me laugh." He smiled at the girls who was still flabbergasted from the whole mud incident. "I guess they are gone. Then again, they might keep coming back. That one that was stood up apparently doesn't know when to quit." He kept his arm wrapped around her.Valentine looked at her and then smiled.

"I can get used to this position. Then again, I can't beat you in soccer again if we are in this position." He smiled and laughed lightly.

(meanwhile the writer of this post is going... :ohmygod: )

"I'm sorry, I just mean that your the one person I feel this way about." She smiled lightly... "Valentine, I know you know this. But I love you." She said glad to be in his arm she looked at him lovingly. Slipping her arms around him holding him again. "They won't bother us, if they do I have a feeling they won't want to ever again." She said it loud enough for the girls to hear it.

She was a vampire after all, and she knew Percy'd be overjoyed to hear the news he'd probably stalk them watching how cute they were. She wondered if he was.

A person in a dark cloak in the forest watched the couple a smile on his face. He whispered. "Look who was foolish and wrong." He chuckled lightly disappearing. He knew they'd become a couple, he did push it along though. But only for Amelia's happiness and the fact he'd get to watch them now.

Not hearing the young, but wise vampire, he looked up and then sat down a good ten feet away from the muddy area. "I love you too. It is so odd...how we have known each other for so long, and how it...flourished." Valentine withdrew his hand and placed it upon the grass staring at the clouds.

"So, I guess the Fall Festival is a date now?"
He smiled at the irony of it. Laughing at irony, what a fun thing to do.

She sat down next to him. It was getting later in the day around 5:00pm sunset would come soon. She looked up at them with him she smiled. "I know." She said looking at him then back to the sky. She hear him talk about how it was now a date. "My first date... To think just days ago I was thinking about sitting in the lounge with a box of ice cream and watching a romantic movie. And now I can spend my night with you." She said a light smile on her face. She had never smiled so much.

Valentine's head turned to her, "You were going to watch a romantic movie in the lounge and not invite me?!" The eighteen year old shook his head as he looked up at the sky. "Well, then I guess we can watch the movie together tonight, right?" It was so odd how giddy he and Amelia was, then again, they had gone nowhere in any shape or form, nor had they ever really had a good friend in all their seventeen and eighteen years of living.

He sighed, "What was the movie though?" Still the ever curious one. He looked up, I wonder if this is all we are going to do, instead of having fun, will we just be romantic? I mean, is that really what fate has for us? Are all couples doomed to having fun through romance instead of having fun through other things?

She smiled and chuckled... "I didn't think my best friend would want to watch a romantic movie since we'd be thought more so as a couple." She smiled, "Of course we can." She never felt so happy, or giddy, she felt like she could fly. She knew she wasn't going to be all mushy with Valentine, but she knew she'd be mushy at times. She knew they'd still have other fun. She just smiled.

"I hadn't picked out the movie, I don't want Romeo and Juliet because they always die. Nor Titianic since it's sickening, I think something action filled with romance mingled in might be nice. Hmm... I haven't seen a lot of movies, maybe we should see what the lounge has." She said with a light smile.

The eighteen year old looked up at the sky, thinking of what she had said. "Well we are a couple and I have learned that not the whole world really cares for me. Glad to hear though that you aren't ashamed." He smiled slightly and moved over towards her. "I guess we can go on step at a time. From movies to I guess dinners." He began to hesitate, still wondering what was to come. He was going to have to be careful from now on. Funny, she used to stalk couple and now she is a part of one.

"We can watch..." Valentine liked romantic movies, the knight rescuing girl "cliche" always made him feel warm and fuzzy, though around anyone Valentine wouldn't admit to it. Though I would like to see Priactes of the carribean 2, I heard there wasn't any romance in it. Then again, it really doesn't matter if there is any romance in it. "I guess we could see the first Pirates of the Carribean." Valentine got up and lent his hand towards her. "I just hope that they have something that is uneducational."
