"No, but looks can be deceiving. You sound a lot like one." Shay paused as she watched Monochrome drink down the tea. She deadpanned at him when he called her a child. No, he certainly wasn't her age, was it? No one her age would say that. "I think you sabotaged yourself because you knew you couldn't win. You forget, the bet wasn't about a smile. It was about double the pay, which you aren't getting, now. So, good job. Hope you're proud of self-destruction. And FYI, I don't pay in smiles; I pay in money."

Shay didn't smile, but past of her wanted to give that sickly sweet smile of someone who only had the worst intentions. "How old are you? You're not my age. I know that. You sound too old."

"Maybe I always get what I want, sweetie." He chuckled as he loomed into her eyes, not wanting her to think that she could overpower him with some fancy words. "Yes, knowing my past and my true nature, wouldn't it be weird for me to not want more money from someone as pissy as you?" He retorted back before continuing. "I only sabotaged myself because I wanted my own drink." He pointed to the empty cup. "You were only the poor taster that has taste buds like the rest of the common sheep on this island."

"Does it really matter?" He glared at her, as if his age was some part of the reason why he had such an attitude. "I'm 112, but I look 12, now don't I?" Yes, maybe they were around the same age physically, but mentally they were not. That was where Monochrome won over her.

Shay didn't appreciate the nickname, but she wouldn't say anything about it. "So how do you plan on getting the money you just lost?" she asked instead. She didn't know what he was, or who he was. What his past was. Shay just let him talk. The more someone talked, the more they were at a disadvantage, unless they were crafty with what they said.

"You could have just made one for yourself, you know? There was no reason to pass up the fun of a dare, but you tell yourself what you have to in order to feel all big and bad." Shay shrugged, watching his every move. She was keenly away that he might just be capable of reaching across the table and destroying her with the flick of his wrist. On this island, who really knew. That didn't mean she was going to let him push her around.

"You sound bitter about it," she commented once he was done talking. "I guess I would too if I had the body of a child. Can't you just change it? We're on an island of magic. You could get glamour."It sounded like a problem, and Shay liked fixing problems. She liked physical problems more than emotional ones, but problems were something she could handle, and right now, she desperately needed something she could take on.

"Maybe I'll make you my tea tester or something, consider your taste buds are not totally refined as of yet." He smirked willingly at the girl, as even due to his nature, it was like his greediness was taking a day off. On the other hand, he did greedfully drink all of her tea...

"Oh I dared a bit, as my main goal was for you to enjoy my creation. Then again, midway I realized that I was, in fact, thirsty too." With his thirst, it was a lot more important for him to quench it, as if he didn't dire consequences would ensue. "You're totally right to the fact that I should have started off easy, but I guess my creative side took hold. I guess I took you as someone different; someone who would enjoy a tea just as all over the place as they seem to not be."

"It does suck." He stopped there, as he was unsure if saying anymore would lead to him getting blackmailed by this girl. "I have not found anyone of that sort though, sadly." He really did hate his child body, as his mind had aged far beyond that. He was also, deep down inside, wanting for someone to see him as more than just a little boy.

Shay made a face. "No way. I'm not taste anything you make again." And that was a firm 'no.' Nothing short of Heaven or Hell would move Shay to taste test Monochrome's creations.

Shay squinted at him, determining something. "What are your powers?" she asked finally. His thirst for tea was more important. He was a man trapped in a child's body. The part was the thing throwing her for a loop, here. "You read me wrong, then." She wanted to tell him that wasn't a victory for him, but she hoped her voice conveyed it, instead.

"You probably haven't looked hard enough." She glanced at the window again, debating whether she should leave it there and go. At the very least, this had distracted her from her bad day. That was what she had been looking for, wasn't it? "Glamour shouldn't be hard to come by."

"Too bad." It made him a bit down on himself that he hadn't won her over so easily. She was different, he'd give her that. It wasn't like his creations were poisonous, or even bad for that matter; it just seemed that their first impressions of each other wasn't a good way to start things off.

"Nothing special really." His powers were still developing, as he felt that him being around others like him, or for that matter others that had powers, was making something come up in him. His greedy side was showing more, though he had always thought that due to this, he would gain some power. "Night vision and such." He scoffed at his lack of power. "I can also sense other people from my father's side. Mammon." His father didn't much favor him as being one of his sons, as he hadn't inherited any powers as of late. "I don't exactly know how to look? Should I just yell out that I want to be bigger?"

Eroshay barked a sharp laugh, so much as tossing her head back in mock humor. "'Too bad?' What are you going to do? Shove tea down my throat? My no is final, good luck forcing me to do anything."

Shay went quiet as Monochrome explained, vaguely, what his abilities were. "Mammon, so a greed demon? I've never heard of a demon that could only look like a child?" At his question, Shay snorted with more derisive laughter. She was sure he was being sarcastic with her. "Just say you want to look like an older you. Or change your appearance completely."

Shay couldn't help when her mind drifted to Klaus and Vito. Did that mean this man was one of their many siblings? Probably. They had a lot.

"My name is Shay, by the way," she told him, expecting him to give his name in turn.

He ignored her mocking style, as he didn't usually respond well when others laughed at him. It wasn't like he couldn't force her; he didn't want to. "I've concluded that my Mammon side has not shown itself. I feel as if it had to go with my growing process being stunned by my vampirism." That was the only logical explaination he could conclude for himself. He really didn't have much to go on.

"But to who?" Yes, he could say whatever he wanted, but it was the act of getting someone to do it that wasn't so easy. It's not like he had some radar for people that could make him age again.

"Mine's Monochrome." He nodded, before taking on the girls name. "That name suits you, I'd have to say." He half tilted his head as he replied.

Shay hadn't realized he was a vampire. What kind of vampire? Okay, now she was interested, and she wasn't off-put to show that interest as she leaned forward in her chair to scrutinize him. "A vampire you say? So I guess you have no problem eating or drinking anything?

"As for glamour. I imagine you could find glamour in any magic shop, if the price was too high, the black market might be worth a look. I could ask some people I know if you wanted. I'm sure they would know where to find something like that?"

Shay canted her head to the right, dark eyes on his as she narrowed her gaze in minor confusion. "My full name is Eroshay if that changes how well it fits me. I've never thought about whether the name was a fit or not. Monochrome isn't your real name, but why did you choose it?"

"I have to drink to survive." He cleared his throat as he leaned in too, as he noticed her intriguement. "I have to drink herbs, like the usual vampire drinks blood." The fact was almost too trivial for him now, like that was normal for a vampire to do. "Though anything else, unless it contains some herb, weed of flower, is bland." Regular food tasted all the same to him, which was a shame because he really had missed many of the food she had enjoyed 100 years ago.

"It would be nice for you to look into that for me, really." He didn't expect her to care at all; to want to help such a snobby boy. "Though I should have enough people to ask if you don't want to help me." He glared, wanting to leave both options open.

"Eroshay?" He chuckled a bit, as he now regretted his previous statement. "Makes you unique at least little girl." He leaned back off the table as he opened his mouth to talk about his own name. "Wanted to leave my past behind me. Plus my name was so stupid, it made me sound like a child."
