Silence...

Mon Dieu... you're such an idiot... Tristan said. The boy was such a fool to be talking to him. Although, he did like making him seem like he wasn't sane. Oh, torturing him could be so much fun. He wanted to see how Damien would get out of this one, and so he waited patiently.

Damien sighed. "No, not you be quiet!!" he said, knowing that the only thing he could come up with now were horrible excuses. He wasn't good at thinking fast or at lying, but even so, he didn't want the truth to come out. "I... I mean... I was talking to myself again... I-I didn't mean you, I swear..."

Liar. You were talking to ME.

The seventeen-year-old rubbed his forehead, not going to respond to Tristan anymore. At least, he was going to try not to.

Dani shrugged. She was still confused, but, whatever. "Oh. I see. Uh...so. Do you have any siblings?" Again she attempted to change the topic.

Damien was silent for a few moments, then shook his head. "No...." he answered quietly. Tristan didn't count as a brother, since they were the same person. His voice was quiet mostly because he was embarrassed about always looking insane... even here he seemed to be weird. "Do you?"

Dani brightened considerably. "Yeah, a brother. He's my twin. It's kind of cool, because it's like we read each other's thoughts sometime." She shrugged. "He's the only one, though."

Damien nodded. "Cool..." he said to the fact that they could reach others thoughts sometimes. He was silent for a few moments, unsure of what to say. Tristan was silent as well, most likely wanting to see what the brown-haired-boy would come up with.

"How... how old are you?" he asked, tilting his head to the side.

"Seventeen, as of November." She replied. Okay, good. There's like, no way this conversation can get back to the topic of talking to ourselves. She thought with relief. "How about you?"

The boy nodded his head once again. "I'm seventeen as well," he said. He went silent, unsure of what else he could say. It hadn't really been too much of an interesting conversation, but, it had been a conversation all the same. He had at least talked to someone for once. He decided it would be best to just not say anything, since there was nothing else for him to say.

"Cool coffee beans." Dani replied. "How long have you been in America?" she asked. Usually she didn't mind silence, but it was just different right now.

Damien thought for a few moments. He really hadn't been keeping track of how long he had been in the country... but he knew it hadn't been for very long. "Not for very long at all...." he said. "I... I-I haven't been keeping track, really.... but I think... a few weeks at most..." He was quiet for a few moments. "How long have you been here?" He knew that she had most likely been here her whole life, but he still figured he would ask.

Dani thought that an odd question. She didn't think that one could be much more American than she.
"Here as in this state? Just a few months. Here, as in America? 17 years..." She replied.
