It was almost eleven o'clock in the morning when Zora looked at the clock again. She had started the day early, a little after seven-thirty so that she could get through the backlog of new clients. However, despite her good intention, she was still swamped with work. Each contract and its conditions needed to be double-checked before she could invest the clients' money abroad and in the narrow reality.

Moving the companys's corporate headquarters to the liminal space, while keeping the bulk of the company and its main branches in the space beyond had been a challenging move fraught with difficulties. Thankfully, the Manta Carlos based company had been capable enough to straddle those hurdles with a lot of ingenuity and patience.

Seeing that it was almost time to go over Mathos Sandoval's client portfolio with his assistant, Zora decided to grab herself a hot and very fragrant chai tea and a butter croissant before she headed back to one of the offices they used for meeting with clients.

kofi_1_by_sayutb_de1cwr1-pre.pngInevitability. For some it was a good thing. Others bad. For Levina, today's meeting with Zoraida Del Bosque was an inevitable. She had seen it coming and had prepared herself for it beyond how she normally prepared for meetings of this nature.

The personal assistant had, of course, arrived exactly on time. She currently sat in a chair waiting for the one person that she wished she could do away with. Her blue hair stood out against the typical business backdrop, but still held a more professional look as Levina had pulled it up.

Levina had very strict instructions from Mathos and knew she couldn't let him down. Especially not after recent events and how they had gone. Pulling out her tablet she looked over things one last time as she waited for Zora to arrive and their meeting to start.

"Ms. Cromwell," Zoraida smiled as she greeted Mathos's personal assistant who was waiting in the reception area.

"So nice to see you again. I do hope Mr.Silver has offered you a beverage while you were waiting, and if not, is there anything can I get for you?" she inquired as she led the younger blue-haired woman to the room they used to talk about people's investments and portfolios.

"Coffee, tea, water? We even have some freshly squeezed orange juice of that's more your thing?" Zora explained as the entered the office with its comfy leather chairs and small boardroom table.

Levina locked her tablet and stood up quickly with a smile. A hand extended out to Zoraida as she lead her into a separate room. Her expression and demeanor were completely different than the party. She was much more professional in this setting.
"Oh no I'm quite alright. As I told the gentleman outside caffeine makes me more wired than I already am naturally."
A small chuckle came through as she tried to lighten the air a little before business started. Partners in a good mood were always easier to deal with. 'Besides, I need to strike up conversation afterwards too.'
"It is very good to see you again Ms. Del Bosque. Shall we get formalities out of the way first?"

"That's good to hear," Zora gave Levina a smile and firm handshake before she led her back to the conference room that they would be using.

"I am afraid coffee is my one true weakness," she replied. "It's like my day doesn't start until without it," she acknowledged, making small talk as they entered the room and made themselves comfortable.

Waiting until Levina took a seat, Zora then proceeded to make herself comfortable at the table, checking to see all the folders with Mathos Sandoval's investments and personal information were there like she had asked.

"Of course, we can," Zoraida replied letting Levina take the lead for a bit. She liked to let her clients lead, it often told her how to proceed. Some insisted on complete formality, others were more down to Earth and enjoyed a more intimate and less formal approach.

"Wonderful. I prefer to get business out of the way while everyone still has the energy and focus for it, then ending on a good more personal note as sometimes things can get testy. A little lighthearted conversation afterwards tends to make everyone more comfortable about continuing business."
Levina's words came out smooth and fluid. They didn't seem rehearsed but held a confidence as if they would have been. She had obviously been in these meetings many times before. A lot of people were intimidated by her small stature but imposing presence in a meeting. Something told Levina that Zoraida wouldn't be.
"So, first off Mr. Sandoval wanted me to extend his thanks for attending the breweries grand opening and hopes you had a swell time."
Formality formality. This was always the boring part she wished she could skip. The dainty blue haired woman crossed her legs in the seat before continuing.
"Now, Ms. Del Bosque, did you have any questions or concerns that I might able to address for you?"

Zoraida was not at all put off by Levina's attitude. She was quite used to dealing with awkward clients who disliked chit chat or that preferred not to talk about themselves.

However, her reasons for it made the witch raise an eyebrow. Zora couldn't help but wonder what firm Mathos Sandoval had dealt with previously because she had yet to have a client get tired or testy discussing their investment portfolios.

In fact, the only time such things tended to happen were with situations like bigger acquisitions where one party was not 100% on board or when something unforeseen happened like there were changes to the conditions originally proposed.

Waiting for Levina to finish, Zora opened Mathos investment portfolios before addressing his assistant.

"Yes... Let's see," Zora started as she took a moment to look over everything again, comparing the contracts against her notes. "I do have a few questions," she said as she began asking Levina questions about where, when, and how much... some questions were to confirm data others were to fill in any missing information.

Levina happily answered any and all questions that she had. All of them coming straight from her memory, even though she had her tablet infront of her. Electric blue eyes remained locked with Zora as answers flowed from the assistant naturally. Everyone of them lining up with what would be on her tablet.
This allowed for multiple things, confidence inspired confidence. If one party was confident and knew their numbers, the other party tended to relax. That relaxation was what Levina was really aiming for. Not having to look for answers to Zoraida's questions also let her examine the witch. What did she have that Levina didn't that drew her boss to her.
"Hopefully that covers any concerns you have. I can assure you our investments have been sound and secured in the best interest of our own investors."
A charming smile came over the personal assistant as her face softened a little.
"And if you have time, I'd love to get to know you more. It's not often I'm sitting across from someone in your position that is of the feminine nature. It's refreshing. "

Zoraida finished the last of her questions and then signed off on the paperwork, adding her own personal company seal to the documents in question so that copies could be taken and the original filed away later.

Glancing across the conference table when Levina asked about getting to know her better, Zora smiled, rather surprised by the request.

"Of course," Zora said as she placed the papers to one side. "Are you interested in business?" she asked politely.

Levina chuckled softly when Zora asked if she was interested in business. There had to be some interest there for her to do what she did, but it wasn't why she did it.
"More than my current capacity? No Ma'am. I enjoy being a personal assistant. I just happen to be really good at it."
Legs readjusted and crossed. Her smile lightening up as the assistant relaxed herself into the conversation.
"No it's just nice to come to one of these without being asked to dinner, or flirted with. Unless I spoke to soon about you?"
A teasing grin and a wink was put on to try and keep the mood fun and relaxed. Even she spoke again her voice had a slight hint of jealousy to it.
"Though from what I saw at the party, you have your hands tied in that department."
