He blinked. Did she say 10 years ago or did he hear her wrong? She didn't say it very loudly, so it was hard to tell. He didn't feel very safe.

Corona took about half a minute to roughly describe how to ride a horse. Though, it was so corny and fake-sounding it was as if he saw someone do it once and was just recalling what he saw.

Rae went into the stables and stared at the horses. She picked a beautiful buckskin with black hair and walked over to it. Sticking her hand under its nose, she waited while it sniffed her before playfully nipping her hand.
Grinning, she petted its neck. She then got a brush and began brushing it.

He watched as she brushed the horse. It wasn't long before he seemed bored. "Do you even know its name?"

"Nope. But I'm going to call her Sugar." The horse reacted to the name, neighing. Rae grinned. "Looks like the name was right." She put on a blanket, smoothed it out and then put the saddle on, tightening the cinches.
"B-but.. that horse doesn't belong to you. Um.. surely someone has it stabled here. You can't just walk in and take a horse... right? Where's the stable master..?"
"I'm not stealing it or anything. Plus, the school owns it." She swung up in the saddle. "Gonna get your own horse or come with me?"
He looked around, and guessed it really was okay. He was never much interested in horses, so he didn't ever bother to learn about the school's stables or how it worked. "Um.. I guess I'm with you." Frankly, he didn't trust Rae OR Corona with the horse, but at least Rae had experience, no matter how small. Corona took offense to Paul's decision. But quickly got over it when Paul failed to get on the horse.
Rae stared at him. "You getting up here or what?" The horse shifted side-to-side anxiously, wanting to run. Rae held the reins so it couldn't.
"...Uhh.." He stood up and brushed himself off, then approached the horse once more. "Yes." He struggled but managed to get on this time.
