Rae rolled her eyes and shoved him before running deep into the cave, turning this way and that into different tunnels.
Rae quickly flashed the light in her hand three times. "Follow the light. And I can remember which way I'm going." She stopped and sat down in a very dark corner.
He tripped just as he started to get close to Rae. Unfortunately, he did not instinctively recover this time. He fell flat on his face with his arms sprawled out on the floor.
"Ow. My face.."
"Ow. My face.."
Rae heard him tripping and then silently grinned at his words. But she stood and immediately turned the light in her left hand on. She spotted Paul's head three feet in front of her feet and went and crouched beside him.
"You okay?" She asked, trying to sound concerned but not quite succeeding.
"You okay?" She asked, trying to sound concerned but not quite succeeding.
"Yeah..I'm fine." He pushed himself up and stood next to her. "I think we're a lot farther in the cave than we were last time. I wonder how far it goes down?"
