"Apparently, I will be watching the sunset tonight. Other than that, no, not at all." As if he really had a choice in the matter..
"Corona?" She guessed before putting the blade between both her index fingers and lifting it to her lips. She blew and a high pitched whistle sounded.
"You guessed correctly." He nodded. He watched her make the noise with the piece of grass. "Careful, I've heard of people cutting their lips doing that."
When he said that her head jerked, thus also jerking the sharp blade of grass. Her lip immediately began to bleed. Rae licked off the blood. "Thanks for the warning," She said sarcastically, though not mad at him.
"You're most welcome." He smiled. "How much are you gonna bleed, jeez. You just keep getting wounded and more wounded. First your arm, then your throat, now your lip..."
Rae quirked an eyebrow and teasingly sent him an accusing look. "Odd that all that happened in the last two days, and you were present at all three events."
"I know. That's a pretty strange coincidence." Interestingly enough, he had absolutely nothing to do with all 3 of them. The closest it came to being his fault was when the ping-pong ball hit her throat, but that was Corona's fault, not his. "You must be bad luck or something."
