"No they won't." She had lied about not knowing why they were shooting arrows at them, but she didn't say why. Rae knew they wouldn't chance them, though. They just wanted to scare her. Not kill her.

He stopped. "I don't want to just run from them. What if they go after other people? We have to stop them." He suddenly wasn't afraid anymore. The part of his mind that took after Corona kicked in once more, and now the top priority set in his mind was to stop these people who could end up harming others.
"No!" She said a bit too sharply and quickly. "They won't harm anyone else. I..." She decided to finish her sentance and so said, "don't know anyone else besides you. So, no, they won't."
Too late. He had already drawn his sword and started ducking between the trees as he ran after the people that were shooting the arrows. It would be near impossible to stop him now, unless he was physically unable.
Rae gasped. He wasn't going to die because of her mistakes. She stood and sprinted after him. Coming up close, she dove and got hold of one of his ankles. She hoped it would inable him to run any further.
He tripped when she grabbed his foot, causing an incoming arrow to just barely miss him instead of impale his right eye. "Thanks.. that was a close one."He thought she just saved him, and didn't realize that she was trying to stop him. But he grew concerned when she didn't let go. "Uh.. what are you doing? I'm fine now."
With angry eyes she hissed between clenched teeth, "Don't go after them. You can't and won't be killed because of me. Just let them go."
"What in the world do they have to do with you? You mean it isn't just a coincidence that they attacked us?"
"Uh, no." She realized she still had hold of his ankle and let it go. "Let's go." She began to crawl at a fast pace.
"Do you think that you gave me a good enough reason not to go after them? You still haven't enticed me. I'm going to stop this, and while Corona hasn't said anything about it, I'm sure he agrees with me."

You don't know what you're up against. For all you know its a large group of people. Or maybe even some monsters. Even if you transform, there's no guarantee you'll win. It might be better to retreat for now and get more information from her. If they really are only after her, then you have nothing to worry about. Because they'll be back.
He had to admit, Corona brought up a good point. He decided to follow Rae.
