Rae sighed. "Nevermind." She had given him a straight-out answer and he returns that by practically ignoring the question and making fun of it. Time for the silent treatment.

Unfortunately, Paul had been quite serious with his response. "Um...okay. I'm still confused, though.. actually more so."
Rae wanted to ask him how he was confused, but she had made a deal with herself to give him the silent treatment, and she planned on keeping that deal. At least for more than five minutes. So she just stared up at him blankly.
He blinked at her stare, then put his hands on her shoulders. "Okay, now I know something is bothering you. Why won't you tell me what it is? This situation is uncomfortable. Especially cause it probably involves me somehow."
Rae opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out. She closed her mouth and pulled away from his grasp, moving again.

He quickly stepped in front of her. "Heh.. how rude. When someone is speaking to you, you don't just ignore them. Come on. What's wrong? You've been acting strange since I got up. First you kiss me then you get all quiet and annoyed about something. I'll never understand you girls."

Five minutes. Gotta wait five minutes... She mentally wished Paul would just shut up so she wouldn't be forced to speak at all. What she wanted to say was that he was an inconsiderate jerk that spoke his mind more often than she liked. But she didn't. Instead Rae dropped her gaze and stared at the ground.

He blinked again and looked around. Then he looked at the ground like she did. "Is there something interesting down there? I don't see nothing.." He then pushed his face close to her's, like he had done before, and looked into her eyes. "You're really weird. Are you feeling okay? Did you not get a lot of sleep last night?"
Rae silently answered No to all of his questions as she stared into his eyes. Rae's mental clock started counting down, Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, two and 6/8th, two and 5/9th, two and....get it done with!....one. Rae smiled at Paul sweetly.
"Huh...so.. you didn't get a lot of sleep? I wonder why..." After a few seconds he took a step back. "I really wonder why!?"
