Rae thought a moment. "I think Italian, Mexican....a variety of things, I suppose." She then grinned and joked, "Are you saying that I have a rich friend?"
He took the wallet out of his pocket and looked inside. "Well, most of it is in a bank account, and I can't touch it until I'm 18... But I have about 100 dollars on me.. so..." He started to think about why he couldn't touch that money until he was 18. It was his parents' will, right? But weren't his parents murdered? Corona mentioned that it wasn't uncommon for parents to write out their wills even when they're still young and healthy just in case. But everything about his parents' murder seemed strange to him. He wondered if Corona was hiding something from him.
Rae's eyes widened. She didn't even have 100 dollars altogether, let alone in her pocket. She had maybe $2.50 in cash and change in her pocket, but that was all. "Well," she grinned, "guess that solves who's paying for dinner."
"D'oh.." He didn't really mind so much having to pay. He never used his money anyways. He decided he would just let her have her fun and not argue about it. "...just don't go crazy, okay?"
Rae gave him the most innocent yet crazy look. She pointed to her chest. "Who, me? Crazy?" She laughed. "Pssh! No."
"Well.. if you say so. But we're almost into town.. so, decide what you want."
