Rae noticed he was alive and welll--well, not well, if the color of his face was any indication--and quickly sat down, sitting straight up. Her own face flamed. She had nothing to say for she was speechless.

He sat up, looking around and blinking. "Why am I all wet..? And why were you kissing me? ... What in the world happened while I was asleep!?"
Rae turned a deeper shade of red. She adverted her gaze to the ground."Um....you were up in a tree when I woke up. I called to you but you...didn't wake up. I got up in a branch beside yours and then you kind of fell into the water." She paused. "I dove in to get you and when I pulled you out you weren't breathing. Therefore I gave CPR. I wasn't kissing you." Technically.
"I fell asleep on the ground next to the tree. Not in a branch.. I can't even climb trees. What in the world are you talking about?" Corona conveniently forgot to tell Paul that it was he who brought him up into the tree. Oops!
Rae frowned. "Did you hit your head going under the water, Paul? I have no idea how you got up there."
He looked at her strangely. Was she lying to cover up kissing him or something? "Erm.. so wait. I think I got it. You came up with some story how you found me up in the tree.. and that I fell into the water. When in reality you dunked me in the water so you could kiss me while saying that you were actually giving me CPR."

"It's not that I don't believe you. Your story just doesn't make any sense. You didn't try killing me again or something... did you?" Paul didn't honestly believe she was lying, he had figured that this situation had something to do with Corona. He greatly enjoyed messing with her, though. It was pretty funny to watch her get so agitated.
Rae came to the conclusion that he must have hit his head. She decided to go along with his assumptions. "Okay. You caught me," she said in a deadpan voice. "I tried killing you by drowning you. But I chickened out and dove in after you. Then I saw you there all vulnerable and innocent anddecided to take advantage of you." Inwardly she groaned and rolled her eyes.
"Wow, I got you to admit it. That's pretty cool. I got taken advantage of by an older chick..that's pretty cool too."He stood up and made a really corny pose. "I'm just too cool to kill, you couldn't resist my masculinity!"
