"Oh...err.. A cute girl like you? I didn't think so." First thing he could think of. While he really did think for a few seconds she was some murderous psycopath -especially with how she sometimes talked to people that weren't there- he quickly came up with the best save he could to try and get her to believe that he really didn't think that badly of her. Not that he didn't trust her words. He figured he would be dead by now if she really wanted him to be. Or was she unsure of her skills against him ever since Corona retaliated?
Knock it off. You're going to lose your spiritual attunement if you keep thinking so badly of her like that.
For some reason Rae didn't quite believe his words but didn't comment on them. She actually felt better for having told someone and she didn't want to be in a bad mood again for getting angry at him. So she just pursed her lips togethr, stood and walked over to the side of the lake.
"Hey.." He stood up after she did and hoped he didn't screw up. "I'm sorry. Are you alright..?" He took a few steps closer to her but didn't get too close.
Rae sighed quietly. "I'm fine." She kicked off her shoes and after rolling her pant legs up to about her knees, Rae stepped into the shallow pat of the water. She paid no mind to the water that was so cold it felt like tiny needles were poking into her.
He walked over to the side of the lake and watched her walk into the water. He honestly wasn't sure if he should change the subject or not. "Um.. how is the water..?"
Rae grinned at his not-so-subtle change of subject. She smiled over at him. "Cold. You should get in." She was practically oblivious that it was night time.
He pondered her suggestion for a little while, then decided that he would do so. He took off his shoes and socks and rolled up his pants and entered the water next to her. Though, it took him a few seconds to actually enter it, since he didn't really like the cold water at all.
"Well.. I figured you didn't want to stand there talking on school grounds.. where a lot of people could see us. I thought this would be more private. Plus, the lake is really cool looking when the sun hits it like that.." He then noticed that the sun was nearly completely down now, and the "cool look" he was referring to was gone.
