"Oh, then bees and pollen is a no go then. I forgot to factor in other people's allergies and stuff like that." Well that was one idea that was dropped. Lynn haven't fully considered other people health issues and potential fears until now.
"So flowers and butterflies are a safe bet. I just have to be careful with what flowers to use." Lynn hummed happily as the got lost in thought trying to visualize how things would look.

"Oh! I could also use fireflies if I get a later time! They would look great floating around the stage and around people too right?"

"Feels like you can't ever be completely safe regarding people's allergies on this island," Kon pointed out. "As long as you're careful with the general stuff, I don't think it's fair for people to get mad over something very common showing up in your performance."

Flowers weren't something Kon was an expert on. He didn't know how many types there were and which were safe and which weren't. That was something he would need to research later if he wanted to help Lynn out some more.

"I don't know much about flowers, buuut, I do think your fireflies idea is good! Hmm, hmm... If you do fireflies, maybe you could bring in a bunch of glowsticks for the audience to use during your performance? It'll keep your audience invested in you and add extra light."

"That's a great idea Kon! Glowsticks would be really cool and oh uh...I was thinking of wearing my flower vest but maybe I can get something that glows along with the fireflies?" Yep there it is, Lynn was getting all sorts of ideas now. This was greaaaat. Lynn was having an easier time with staying focused and coming up with new and better ideas with Kon here which was something she appreciated.

Maybe it wasn't so bad asking for help everynow and then for things like this? It sure was fun anyways.

Lynn approached the music sheet stand and flipped over to a new a clean sheet since she weren't doing the birds anymore, she would have to use the firefly and butterfly song bits to form a new song altogther.
"So a new new song, fireflies, butterflies, a fancy pretty glow dress, and um..." Lynn glanced over to Kon and hummed.

"If it's not too much to ask could you help me come up with a routine too? I'll uh...pay you??"

Was it wrong to have your friend pay you for your help? Probably. An argument could be made that it was expected to lend your friend help every now and then. An argument could also be made that if what you were being asked to do would take up important time, a proper exchange was reasonable. That was the argument Kon was going to stand by. Out of all the things Kon did to live in luxury (or as close to luxury as he could now), helping a friend work on a dance routine was one of the better things he could do. He had to take every chance he was given now that he lived on a measly budget.

"I'll help out! I had a feeling I'd be helping you clean up some rough ideas you had. I even have a few ideas myself. We can decide on pay later, alright? But for now, what do you have for your routine so far?"

"Well I didn't have a routine thought out yet. I usually just skip around and stuff when I play." Lynn did a little demonstration of what the skipping looked like for Kon.
"But this is going to be a big festival for a lot of people and so I need to do something better than skipping." Lynn sighed, she wasn't super good with the dancing aspect of things.

"Hmm, I think I have an idea for an entrance. I can kinda vanish in the dark. What if I vanish and get on the stage and have a swarm of butterflies and fireflies surround my location for me to..um..pop out?"

Kon sat down on the floor and rubbed the back of his head. A dance routine... That wasn't something Kon was knowledgeable on. All the times he danced and sing, he had something to reference beforehand. This was out of his league.

But money was involved.

And Lynn gave Kon a good place to start from. "That's a great idea! For a dance, you could try ballet. Or, hmm... If you don't want to dance, the butterflies and fireflies could swarm around you and make patterns in the sky to match your song? Or you could do both!"

Kon once again rubbed the back of his head with an insecure grin. "I'm throwing out more half-assed ideas... Aren't you with Mystique? Wouldn't they be good for routine advice?"

Lynn liked the idea of having the butterflies and fireflies swarm around to make patterns. "That's a really good idea! I could come up with a few lyrics they could become to add more into the song." Lynn had at big dorky grin on her face now. "I think ballet could work too...if I could learn something in time before the festival. You have a lot of good ideas, Kon friend."

When Kon asked about Mystique, Lynn kinda flinched a bit. Oh no.
"Well I am but um...I kinda want to compete against them this tine around." That was the truth, well a truth.

Lynn glanced over at Kon and then quickly looked at back to the note sheet. "But I um ....wanted to hangout with you and wasn't really sure how to um..." Ugh, social skills and concepts was still hit or miss with Lynn.

Kon’s cheeks reddened. How was he letting himself be this insecure? Lynn appreciated his ideas. It was clear as day that his ideas were helping. There was no reason to let himself fall into pessimism and automatically consider himself useless.

Kon's smile turned to look genuinely happy. That is, until he made Lynn flinch. But that flinch was followed up with Lynn admitting she wanted to hang out with Kon. "I'm always up for hanging out with you. You don't need to make any excuses for it," he reassured her. "And I like your plan. Show Mystique what you learned from being with them. Aren't they supposed to be a starting point for an actual career to be built off of?"

Lynn stared at Kon for a bit and just smiled as much as she could. This was nice, having friends like Kon, Destra, and Hella was really something Lynn appreciated. "You are a good friend, Kon. I'm glad we got to meet."

Lynn examined the music sheet again, the window, and the Kon. There was a mischief in Lynn's eyes as she brought Fygg up to her mouth to blow a a single low note followed by two quick ones and another slower one. After a few moments of waiting, fireflies of many types of colors came floating in and slowly started to fill the room with their light.
"This is the firefly song, well just a few notes from it." Lynn said as she lowered Fygg from her mouth and let a few fireflies land on her.

Lynn then carefully moved to turn off the light so they were able to see the colors better. "They will be my weapon of choice for the festival!" Lynn giggled as they watched a few of the fireflies go over to Kon.

Lynn's moment of pure sentimentality that caught Kon off. He was used to complimenting others with a varying range of truth to it. He was used to internet compliments. He was used to the compliments his dad gave him. But something like this, where he was face-to-face with a friend who spoke up about how much they appreciated him? It was something he was still learning to get used to.

Kon's face showed his surprise, but there wasn't any sign of disagreement with Lynn's comment. Unfortunately, flustered giggling and rubbing the back of his neck wasn't a response, and Lynn started playing a song before he could come up with one.

The few notes she played managed to bring Kon back to his normal casual, yet very upbeat, attitude. He learned further as fireflies flew into her dorm. Some landing on Lynn, some fluttering around himself.

"A powerful weapon indeed," Kon responded, lowering his voice to sound more dramatic. He held out a hand for a firefly to land on, dazzled by their beauty. "I fear how you will use them in battle."

After a few giggles, he returned to focus on the topic at hand. "So what else do you need planned out? So far you have a rough draft of your song and routine... Oh! I bet I could help a lot with clothing."
