Ain noted that she picked out the pink shirt on their way out and couldn't help imagining how cute she would look in it no matter what form she was in; it was perfect for her. He held her hand tight again, and allowed her to lead him out of the store without missing a beat. By this time he was quite used to the small looks passerbys were giving them, but to be honest he could tell they were mostly on Ria — but so were his own violet eyes so he understood.

'They must be jealous, and as they should be... Ria is..' he thought as his whatever thought he had was broken by Ria's words and noticably elevated eyebrow.

He squeezed her hand a bit tighter and nodded at her with an expectant stare, completely unsure where she was going with this...

Ria was used to being stared, back in her home village and here, so she barely even noticed any of the looks she and Ain got. Or she got, but Ria was unaware of her own attractiveness so that didn't even pass her mind. The only look she did notice was Ain's, and that didn't bother her, merely made her a bit flustered in a good way.

Ain squeezed Ria's hand tighter when she asked her question and nodded. Ria felt unexpectedly happy Ain didn't have to go yet, not just because she needed to talk to him but because she just wanted to be with him as long as she could.
"Good. Well, the most important thing to discuss is the fact that I recently learned to speak sign language. This morning, in fact, through some magical means I will explain in detail later. So...if you want to I can now teach you."
Ria looked at Ain slightly unsure, she didn't know if Ain would rather get taught by a professional.
"And there is more, but I would rather talk about that in private."

Ain was unexpectedly happy to hear that Ria had learned sign language in such a short amount of time, and smiled brightly at the news. He just didn't understand why she was soo good to him, learning sign language in the span of a week just for him, he wasn't sure if he deserved all this but he definitely wanted it. The more time he spent with her, the more he knew his feelings for her were real, that he liked her more than any other girl or person he had met.

He was glad that it was Ria and not someone he didn't know that well would be teaching him, and leaned in slightly closer to give her an accepting nod to try to dispel the uncertainty he viewed on Ria.

Pausing for a bit, he heard her say that she wanted to talk in private, 'Is she playing coy, or does she really intend to talk with me. Either is fine,' he thought as he nodded yet again with a slightly hotter look in his eye, hoping that maybe talking meant going back to what they needed to finish from earlier.

Ain's smile at Ria's words was reassuring, and gave her confidence in teaching Ain. She wanted him to be able to communicate and connect. Ria didn't want to leave him alone in that cabin, no one deserved to live all alone if they didn't want to. Ria was an untrusting person. But when someone earned her respect Ria never stopped worrying about them. Ain was now included in the list of people she worried about, and that meant Ria would do everything in her power to help and protect him. That included freeing him from his curse and giving him a normal life again.
Ria squeezed Ain's hand a bit and her eyes were determined.
"You can start learning now, if you want. I was going to go to the library, you can join me."

Ria didn't miss the change in Ain's look after she mentioned she had other things to discuss too. It was true that she just wanted to talk, talk about her and Ain, and what exactly they were to each other. Ria didn't need a label for their relationship, she wasn't that shallow. But she...needed confirmation. That Ain wasn't just using her. Ria was almost certainly sure he wasn't, but she couldn't help but be slightly uncertain. After all, this had all happened very fast.
But as Ria looked at Ain, and how he had leaned a bit closer, she decided to be slightly impulsive for once. After a quick glance around, there were barely any people around, Ria pulled Ain closer and planted a brief but rather aggressive kiss on his lips. Ria quickly drew back but stayed close to Ain.
"When I say talk I really do mean talk. But you can interpret it in other ways too."

The feeling of her hand tightening around his was enough for him to want to get closer to her, and if that meant going to the library to learn sign language he was entirely open to it. It would be noted that Ain had been a big reader before coming to this world some fifty years before, with his current condition he was not able to read very much except the scattered elven books that he was able to locate.

Ain made the sign language for please by circling his chest when she asked him to join her, it was not something he would ask of her but if she was offering he would not say no. It would take something truly bad for him to reject it, and it was strange that Ria has never done anything that he rejected yet.

Unexpectedly while he was thinking, Ria pressed her lips against his aggressively, and how sudden it was caused him to lose his breath from how much he desired it. It was brief but powerful, like a sneak attack and that sneak attack hit him much harder than he would show as their lips parted.

He resisted the urge to drop the bags and kiss her more in the street, but only barely...

'Then, I will wait to enjoy our talk,' he thought as a small smirk appeared on his face and his eyes looked down the street, a signal to tell her that he was ready to go.

Ria really surprised herself, when she kissed Ain. Ria was assertive most of the time, but she wasn't the type for public displays of emotion. But something about Ain made her throw that side of herself out the window, at least temporarily. Ria was logical and thus deemed it was probably the work of hormones, and her experiencing these kinds of strong feelings of attraction for the first time. Ria didn't have any resistance against them. But it felt good to follow impulses from time to time, and thus Ria didn't regret kissing Ain and answered his smirk with a small sly smile of her own. Ria started walking, leading Ain towards the library where Lee and Joseph would be waiting.
