Eve listened, interested, as the girl explained about the building. He looked at the store with new eyes, trying to picture how it had been before. Eve had a good imagination and he could picture the things she described. Sleazy looking people sitting by the tables, dirty walls and floors and dark secrets hidden under the already suspicious front. A hint of a smile flashed on Eve's face, it sounded like a place he could've wanted to sketch.
But he did like this current place more, after all.
"Good that the old one is gone then."

Eve looked at the girl, surprised look in his eyes. You could give a person a heart attack with coffee. Eve had not heard of something like that, or even thought it possible.
"That sounds unfortunate."
Eve didn't sound blaming or anything.
"But you said it was an accident. Those happen."
Eve smiled a bit, trying to make the girl feel better in case she still felt bad about what she had done.

Sinaloa tapped her heel on the floor a few times, feeling a little awkward that she had been doing most of the talking. It made sense though, since Eve was doing all the drawing. Light glinted off of the end of the pencil as Eve sketched, drawing Sinaloa's eye like a laser pointer dot infront of a cat.

"We sell some really super strong coffees. For the non human, and such. Like. Triple brewed, and stuff. I accidentally brewed it stronger than it shoulda been cause I added too much and it kinda didn't turn out well. It was an accident, but I shoulda known better. It didn't give me a heart attack but I can't really die either, so I guess I wouldn't be able to tell."

Sinaloa rambled on, about coworkers, bosses, things on the menu that were good, new menu items they had tested out that were really bad, and customers that came in regularly. She just felt the need to fill the silence with something other than the scritch-scritch of a pencil on paper.

Hiatus
Eve tried to immortalize all the little details on the girl's face as he listened to her talking. When she mentioned she can't die Eve looked up and tilted his head just slightly in question.
"You cannot die? How so? Are you immortal?"
Eve didn't mind the girl rambling, and he listened to her every word, remembered them. He liked learning about the people he sketched, about what kind of people they were. In his mind Eve was calling this girl the little bird, since she was fidgeting and chirping like one. In a good way, naturally. Eve found it inspiring, and fascinating. A tiny smile was stuck on his face as the girl talked. Eventually Eve finished with the girl's face and moved on to sketch the hair. When the hair would be ready Eve'd paint it with his paints.
"You said earlier you don't show your hair that much, because you don't want to be seen. Why is that?"
Eve asked out of impulse and quickly added.
"Of course you don't need to tell me, if you don't want to. Sorry."
Eve looked down at the sketch, drawing a few wavy lines.

"I dunno. I just know a bullet to the brain still heals and my heart doesn't stop. That's why I'm here. The hospital reported it to the Academy."

Eve smiled while he worked, but Tiny didn't notice. Her eyes were still glued to the light reflecting from the polished end of the art pencil.

"My hair used to be a lot darker. And longer. It was always a mess. I just didn't like being seen cause I didn't want people to notice me."

Sinaloa rested her arms on the table, then lay her head ontop of them, watching Eve from a sideways angle.

"You apologise a lot. Why?"

Eve noticed the girl, still nameless to him, follow his pen and that made small smile twitch at the corner of his mouth. She reminded Eve of a magpie, that followed anything shiny like a cat.
"I see. Well, I guess rapid regeneration isn't anything too unusual in this island. Even I'm tougher than most."
Eve drew one long, curvy line and tried to move the end of the pencil from side to side. This was fun.

Eve understood not wanting people to notice you, and he did nod.
"I get it. I used to be like that as well."
Eve glanced at the girl again, and saw her look at him. Her question surprised Eve a bit. He hadn't even noticed he had been apologizing a lot. Eve tapped the pencil against his chin couple of times, thinking.
"Maybe I don't want to offend anyone. So I apologize a lot, just in case."

The pencil wiggled as Eve drew another line, and Sinaloa recognized that he was doing it on purpose now. Embarressed, she ducked down and hid by taking a drink from her mug, but her eyes returned to the little sparkle of reflected light when she could see it agian.

"It's really weird. And you can't really offend me I've done lots of stuff that isn't good. I used to be a criminal hacker in new york. We usually just pranked street signs like those big TV displays in electronics shops or those big huge billboards. It was fun."

Sinaloa didn't feel the need to mention any of the less public stunts she had done, cheeks flushing red when she realised that she had called herself a criminal. She rushed to cover up her mistake.

"N-not that it was any thing actually bad though. It was like. Awareness stuff. Don't hate kinda things."

Eve smiled a bit when the girl called him weird. He supposed he was weird, being like he was. The smile was also a reaction to the girl's story about hacking billboards and such. It sounded like the kind of prank Eve used to pull. Though that thought made the smile waver a bit, remembering his past.
"It's okay, I won't judge. I understand pranks, and it sounds like it was fun. Besides, spreading aceptance in any form is good."
Eve finished his sketch and looked at it. Eve had really captured the girl's bird-like air, her fragile body and twitchy movements. It looked like she could take flight any moment.
Eve smiled a bit at the girl.
"Would you like to see the picture?"
