"Oceania Park... right..." Sarah took out her phone and brought up the map. "When the heck did I get here...?" she'd mumble under her breath. She saw that she was close to an exit. Her house was a long way out, but she can handle that distance.

"Thank you," she told the cursed person before turning towards the trail leading up to the gate. "Now if you'll excuse me, it's getting cold so I'll be on my way." She started to walk away but seemed hesitant after the third step. As if she was debating with herself again, she paused, then turned around. "What's your name?"

Cardamon watched as she took out her phone and made motions to leave, his hands placed comfortably in his pockets. That was fine with him. It wasn't like he was chomping at the bit to spend more time with this strange woman.

Or maybe he was. He'd never seen someone so damaged, so maybe he just wanted to understand how a person could become this way.

He looked at her in surprise when she addressed him again. "Oh. Uh, my name is Cardamon. Yours?"

"Sarah," she replied flatly. Sarah knew that what she was going to propose would be a bad idea, but having nothing to occupy her time was driving her insane. "I am a researcher and your glass-like form has taken my interest. Next time we meet, might I have a moment to get a scan of you? It's just to see how you differ from the human physique. What changed and what stayed the same."

She was, of course, not going to force anyone to do anything for her as she didn't have a desire to be making enemies. As much as possible, she wanted to steer clear of any conflict.

He was about to flat out deny her when he realized that, hang on, he really didn't know the answers to those questions. For the last two-hundred years, he'd been struggling to keep himself together, from the realization that if he shattered he would feel the excruciating pain of regrowing every part of his body, to realizing that his skin had lost its sensitivity to temperature, touch and cold. He never really thought about if what he was was anything close to human at all.

He'd never really considered it.

Was he human? If he was, what made him human? If he wasn't, was there a way to regain that lost humanity? Could her scan tell him what else this glass body did but turn him into a fragile doll? Was there any upside to this aside from an immortality he'd never asked for?

"...sure, Why not?" He said with a shrug. "As long as you let me.... pick your brain about a few things."

Fortunately, he was willing to cooperate with the testing, much to her unexpressed delight. The catch was something she was willing to give as well. "That is a fair trade," she said.

While she was genuinely going to answer what he wanted her to answer, if it ever came to the subject of her employment, she needed to bend the truth a little, maybe outright lie. It wasn't only because it was a sensitive thing, it was also the fact that she knew what her employers were capable of. And Cardamon would do well to be kept out of that situation.

She on the other hand... well, she knew they needed her but she didn't know if she was irreplaceable. She had to make sure she doesn't let anything slip...

To his delight, she agreed to let him pick her brain. He wasn't particularly interested in her work or what she did for a living, he was more interested in her, her as a person, what she felt, and how those feelings affected her. It would be interesting to see how her life unfolded. He needed to know. He needed to.

"Good. Oh, I suppose I ought to tell you where to find me..."

He reached into his pocket and took out a small sketchbook and a pencil, scribbling the address of his shop with a small map beneath it, since she seemed to have such a difficulty understanding where she was spacially.

"That will be helpful," she said, approaching Cardamon to receive the address with the sketch of where he was located. She was knew to the island, and she didn't go out much, so whatever set of directions she could take was helpful.

But as she was waiting, a curious thought popped into her mind. She didn't want to distract him however and waited until he was done before asking, "Out of curiosity, what sort of things did you want to know about me?"
