He walked through the school, his new clothes felt strange, but he was told he'd need them, he had no name no identity, he just existed. His gray silver eyes looked from side to side as he wandered through the halls, this was all new to him, every piece of this world, and it all fascinated him. He had so many questions, and so few answers, some of the questions were about the world around him, most were about himself.

As he turned a corner he saw someone, a girl, but not any girl, it was the girl who had been there when he had woken. He cocked his head at her, and then something came over his face, a smile, a calm smile, his first smile "uh....hello."

Yawning softly, Alouette stretched her back as she walked. She was currently wearing one of her Academy sweaters over a white blouse with a flowy knee-length skirt, a small orange sprite settled on top of her head. The little fire spirit was letting off a comforting warmth as it looked around curiously, Alouette listening with half an ear to the spirit's squeaky chattering that she could hear.

Stil a bit sleepy, Alouette rubbed at her left eye, doing her best to shrug off the light exhaustion; she had stayed up later than usual checking the assigned textbooks she'd gotten for classes, but what would normally have taken two or three hours for the studious girl had stretched long into the night.

She had found it difficult to concentrate, her thoughts still on the crystalized teen she'd stumbled upon.

She had firmly ignored the fact that he'd been as naked as a newborn babe- maybe not that far off?-, and while she hadn't gotten a good glimpse of him before being intercepted by one of the adults in the room, the boy's aura alone warranted further thought. Alouette was absolutely terrible with aura sensing and reading, but even she could feel that the teen was unique, oddly flavored magic notwithstanding.

As a result of her ponderings, she hadn't gone to bed as early as she would've liked and was currently paying for it now, slightly exhausted as she was. She was actually on her way to the cafeteria in the hopes of getting a nice, invigorating cup of hot chocolate when she saw the same boy that had occupied her thoughts.

Nearly doing a double take, Alouette silently watched as he neared, blinking slowly when she realized just how tall he was- granted, most people were taller than her, but still. The fire sprite eyed the newcomer with outright curiosity, darting off of Alouette's head and flying up to the boy in a ball of orange light.

"Hello there~" She hummed in lightly accented English after a moment of regaining her composure; the boy's smile was really nice, actually. She paid little attention to the fire spirit- she had only just summoned it, so there was a bit longer before it would disappear, and it was a harmless little thing. "So, you're a student here now? I'm not quite sure what happened, but I'm Alouette. It's nice to meet you!"

His smile never left his face, "it's good to meet you, and yea, they enrolled me here," he stretched his back a bit, it was strange being out and walking about, his body was flawless, the school doctors were quite shocked by it. "Alouette.....it's a nice name, has a nice ring to it," he'd met some people sense he woke up, they all had names, something he didn't have. ]

His nose twitched as a few students passed them, his senses were incredibly powerful and picked up on pretty much all scents, "I haven't been awake long and already I want see everything, they tell me the city outside the school is incredible." From the moment he'd regained his senses, he had developed a very strong curiosity for the world, it was all new to him, both the island and everything outside of it.

He scratched the back of his head, and grinned a bit, "I was actually looking for the lunch room, was hoping to try some of the food but...we....," a slightly embarrassed look crossed his face, but his kind smile never faded, "I kinda got lost, if you know the way, we could sit down and talk."

"Oh, thank you!" Alouette's own expression, a small, tentative thing, warmed into a considerably bright smile. She felt like the boy's words were sincere, which made her happy, if a bit flustered, though she hid the latter well. "I'm glad you'll be sticking around though! I only just recently arrived, so this is mostly new for me as well." Maybe not as new as it was for him, of course, but at least they'd both have a familiar face around the Academy while they grew used to life here.

Unable to stifle a soft giggle at the boy's predicament, she nodded in easy agreement and turned in the direction she'd initially been heading towards. "You're in luck, because I was heading to the cafeteria myself; it's this way. I wouldn't mind the company, so let's go~" And with that she started walking, falling silent to think for a moment before her gentle voice started up again, little fire sprite once more settled atop her head. "I actually haven't gotten a chance to explore the city yet, so if you'd like, we could go together. It's definitely a big place, and while I'm sure the main parts are easy to navigate, I was hoping to go with someone anyway.

She paused for a moment, tilting her head and bringing her hand up to brush away her hair when the pale brown locks fell into her face. "Oh! I don't believe I've gotten your name! I can't keep referring to you as 'that boy', right?"

While awaiting his answer, she continued to guide them towards the cafeteria. It didn't take much longer for them to find it, the large, spacious room already holding a bunch of people. Some were gathered into groups that talked and laughed together, others in smaller pairs or trios bent over what looked like notes, and so on; it was a bustling place regardless of the time of day.

His calm smile never left his face, "you have a nice laugh," it did sound very nice to him, it was the first laugh he had ever heard, and it sounded great. "Yea, lucky my crystal was brought to a school, I guess here I can learn all I want," his gray silver eyes seemed to shine a bit with his happiness, "maybe we'll have some classes together."

He nodded and started following her, "thank you, it'll be nice sharing my first meal ever with someone nice. Yea, exploring the city with you sounds great, from what I've been told there's a lot to see," he was excited to see the world and all it holds, and the island was the first step in that exploration. "I want to see everything, I was told some of the buildings change how they look with magic," he smiled at her, "thank you, it'll be great seeing the city with you."

He followed her and then looked to her as she said she had something to call her, "yea, I've been thinking about that myself," he grinned, "I guess you were one of the first people to see me, I'd be honored if you helped think of a name for me." As he said this they came to the lunch room, it was full of people, beings off all kinds, "wow, there's a lot of people here."

The faintest hint of a blush appeared on her cheeks, but she valiantly tried to ignore it. "S-Surely you're just saying that." She hummed, stopping herself before she could call him an idiot; she didn't want to offend him if he thought she meant it seriously. She added in a much quieter voice, more to herself than to him, "I mean... it would be nice if we shared some classes.

Mentally shaking herself, she focused on him once more, her flustered embarrassment slowly abating in the face of his genuine enthusiasm. She supposed it had to be terribly confusing, not knowing anything about the outside world. Her opinion of him rose a notch; for someone who had supposedly woken up for the first time only recently, he was taking things in stride and was a fairly happy person regardless.

"You... You want me to help you come up with a name?" She murmured, a note of disbelief in her warm tone. It was a humbling thought, having a hand in giving the boy the name he would go by from then on, and an undertaking she would consider seriously. She fell silent as she thought, glancing at him every so often when she came up with something only to discard it moments later, deeming it to not fit the tall boy.

She only paused in her musings at his exclamation, offering him a reassuring, gentle smile. "Starlight's a pretty big school, from what I've seen and heard. Plus, they don't really discriminate based on species or powers, so there are all types of people here! It's really cool, actually."

She led him towards the buffet-style line, consisting of several different stations each with their own theme and type of food. Alouette took two plates, keeping one for herself while handing the other to the teen. She had just come for hot chocolate, but she herself was getting a bit hungry, so she might as well snack on something while she was here.

With that, she went back to her thoughts, only absentmindedly taking note of what each station had as they made their way through them. Suddenly, something occurred to her. "Wait... In the room you woke up in, there were a bunch of files on the tables. I didn't get to see what they said very well, but they did feature the name 'Raziel' quite clearly. I'm not sure if they had figured out your name, if you had one before waking up, or if that was what they were referring to the crystal as, but... how does Raziel sound?" Alouette dearly hoped she didn't sound silly, or that he wouldn't hate the idea.

He smiled and followed her through the students, he accepted the plate with a grateful smile and began gathering his food, despite it being the first time he had ever eaten, he seemed to know his way about most of the food, seemed to know what would be the best choices for his personal health, "that's good, I've already seen a lot of different beings here, I met a teacher who's a vampire."

He looked toward her as she explained that some files in the room where they kept the crystal had the name Raziel written on it, his silver gray eyes seemed to shine a bit as he considered, "Raziel," he said as he thought about the name. He smiled, "that sounds great, thank you. I am Raziel," he grinned, his silver gray eyes now actually glowing with his happiness.

Once they had their food they headed to an empty table and took a seat, "so, they figured out that I can absorb languages, its how I was able to start talking so quickly," otherwise it would have probably taken him months to be able to talk, "apparently I sorta, instinctively absorbed the languages that the people in the room spoke," he looked at her a bit embarrassed that he had unintentionally learned French from her, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean for that to happen."

Nodding along to his commentary, Alouette worried at her bottom lip as she picked out a simple sandwich and got the hot chocolate she had wanted. After a few moments, heterchromatic eyes glanced up at the teen, a sudden thread of relief running through her. He seemed to receptive to the name; it really did fit him, she mused silently to herself.

"Wonderful! It's nice to meet you, officially now, Raziel." With her lilting accent, the name rolled off her tongue nicely. "I hope you don't mind if I call you Razzy- we're friends after all, right?" A giggle puncuated Alouette's words as she settled into their chosen table. She sat with her right leg tucked under her, a hand coming up to tuck a few errant strands of her hair behind her hair.

She took a sip of hot chocolate, audibly sighing as the hot liquid warmed her, the chocolate a great pick-me-up for the girl. Upon hearing the newly named Raziel's admission, however, she tilted her head, offering him a warm smile. "It's fine! You said it yourself, you didn't mean to." Her expression gained a tinge of playfulness as she added in her native French, the words smooth and pleasant to the ear. "Do not worry about it, my friend."

Reverting back to English, she smiled brightly and started on her sandwich. "Now, I'm pretty much done with organizing my room, and it's still fairly early in the day. You want to go explore the city later?"

He smiled as she suggested a nickname and giggled again, he really did like her laugh, "Razzy sound good, a good name and a good nickname," and just like that he had a name, a nickname and a friend, "and yea, I'll happily be your friend, plus it'll give me more chances to hear that pretty laugh of yours," in truth Raziel was unaware that what he was saying could be looked at as flirting, though he probably would've said it even if he did.

He took a sip of his hot chocolate enjoying the taste and the warmth, and grinned when she said that him unintentionally absorbing French from her was ok. He chuckled a bit when she spoke to him in said language, "I'm happy your not angry, I hate the idea of offending my first friend," he replied in french to show that he had learned it, "your voice is nice either way, but especially in French."

He nodded when she asked if he'd like to explore the city with her, "that sounds great, I wen't up to the roof for a bit and got a look of it, it looks amazing," cities in general were new to him, but the city they would explore would be a magical one, "and exploring it with you sounds great."

Alouette's smile widened, a dazzling expression that communicated quite clearly her happiness. Just as quickly to reappear was the light flush to her cheeks, though she she tried to brush it off. "Flatterer." was muttered under her breath.

Her gaze, which had fallen to her plate as she went to poke at her sandwich, snapped back up to Raziel's face, her blush deepening to a bright red. "O-Oh, shush, you silly boy." She scrunched up her nose, though there was a distinctly pleased look in her eyes that belied the annoyed front she was putting up.

Clearing her throat, Alouette quickly grasped onto his desire to see the city to avoid questioning as to why she was blushing. "Good! I overhead a bunch of older teens talking; there seems to be a lot to do in Manta Carlos City. Hopefully we won't run into any trouble though."
