The gymnasium was filled with the grunts and groans of combatants as they tested their skills, powers and weapons against each other in a safe environment. Having arrived earlier in the week, Ruari felt out of place, yet strangely at home. As the sounds of combat, rang out across the room, Ruari's eyes zeroed in on another boy, much like himself. Standing along the sidelines watching the various pairs and groups at work. So, being the out going fun loving person he is, Ruari marched over and stopped in front of the other boy.
"Hiya!" He said in a loud and cheerful voice, his Irish accent making his sentence seem even happier. "I've noticed that you don't have a partner, and I'm pretty new here. So, I'm here alone as well." He grinned and extended his hand. "I'm Ruari, wanna knock each other around a bit for practice?" Ruari said in a nonchalant and chipper voice. His trademark grin still fixed in place.
