"It's a free country." Odette repeated snippily. "And I can say what ever I want to. And you can't stop me." She gave him a 'what now!?' look.

Odette snorted. "Thanks for the concern," She said sarcastically. "But I can take care of myself perfectly fine. I don't need people being nice to me."

Allen's dark brown eyes narrowed when she gave him that look. "Are you sure about that?" he questioned with a smirk. Oh, there was tons he could do. He could throw her off the roof, hurt her, insult her... the list went on!

"Oh, you don't, do you?" He roleld his eyes. "Yeah, right. You don't need people to be nice because nice people keep you from falling off roofs to your doom." Allen snorted.

Odette rolled her eyes. "What are you going to do? Hurl insults at me? That's so scary." She replied in a mocking tone.

"And for your information, I wouldn't have met my 'doom'. I can't die. What do you have to say to that?" She said defiantly.

He laughed darkly. "I can do a lot worse than that," he said.

When told that she couldn't die, he snorted. "Well I can't either. Join the club," he said. "What's your story?" He didn't seem very interested, but it was at least conversation. He hadn't actually had a 'civil' conversation in a while.

"So can I." Odette replied threateningly. Her manner softened the slightest bit when he started speaking civily.

"Vampire. What's yours?" She asked.
