Diligo thought back to his own parents, and to his old home. His eyes once again filled with a sort of passion.

"Keep him? We certainly shall." He said. He pulled something out of a jacket pocket, a sort of meat he had personally taken. It was that day that he found the animal dead in the forest, and though he did not eat the once soulful himself, he didn't want anythings efforts to go to waste. Foxes though, had no choice in these matters, he realized. He offered the food to the cub.

"What shall we name him... or her?" Diligo asked Sagari.

Sagari sat the fox down so that Diligo could give him the food.
She smiled as the cub scarfed down the food. He needed help and Sagari had always been a nurtering person...although...Arty wouldn't like it very much...
A name...a name...what should his name be?
Hmm...I know this may be redundant but how about Lorne? It means fox. she said with a smile giggle and petted the cub on the top of his head, but he nipped at her.
Oh, now that just won't do Lorne. You're going to have to be nicer when you're around your food. she said and playfully waggled her finger at him with a giggle.

"Redundant, maybe, but it fits." Diligo replied. He nodded his head in approval and sat down with the cub and Sagari.

"I've never had the chance to raise anything before... I suppose I'm just behind on a lot of things in life; but I'm always willing to do my best, yes." Diligo said to the now Lorne. He looked at Sagari.

"I'm afraid that means I'll hardly be able to help in many ways, but I'm sure I'll catch on soon enough."

Sagari smiled at him. He was naiive, but in a good way.
you'll do perfect I'm sure. Besides, I raised my bear Arty, so I have some practice. You can meet Arty later, he's grumpy when he's sleepy for I left him in my dorm for some Z's. she said with a giggle. She loved that fuzzy little guy, even if he was a pain sometimes.
Lorne finished scarfing down his food and rolled into a little ball on the ground and fell asleep, making cute little squeeking noises.
Aww...how cute... she cooed.

"Yes" Diligo simply agreed, for their was nothing more he could add to this. He wasn't exactly sure what adorable was, but he was certain this fox was the most fitting towards the word.

"Hey, I just now noticed, where are we going to keep him?" He said. "I'd keep him at my place, but thing is, I don't actually own a place yet." Diligo decided not to ask about 'Arty' just yet. It would be more interesting to find out someday.

Sagari hadn't thought of this before. She looked at the little guy and felt a rush of sadness, they didn't allow pets in the dorm. Even having Arty was a stretch...but they couldn't just leave him out in the cold...
Oh no, I don't know where we could keep him. We aren't suppose to have pets in the dorms... she said and gently picked him up holding him against her chest, he let out a protesting squeak but then yawned and fell back asleep.
What do you think? she asked looking back at Diligo, her eyes sad and worried.

"Well then, it'll be fine. I'll search around, and until then, I'll keep him with me. If he doesn't mind, of course." Diligo took Lorne and scooped the sleeping fox into his arm.

"Look at that, it truly is getting dark now." Diligo said to Sagari. The sky indeed was beginning to glitter with stars. "The forest... It really is as radiant at night as they say."

Sagari smiled as Diligo took Lorne into his arms.
I'm sure he won't mind and neither do I. she said and smiled at him. He made the comment about the night and the forest and she nodded her head in agreement. She looked up at the stars and her eyes light up. She loved the stars.
The night sky is always so beautiful. she said and looked over at Diligo. She scooted a bit closer and leaned her head on his shoulder, and looked up at him to see if it was okay.

Diligo turned his head to look into Sagari's eyes, and though he said nothing, it seemed apparent Diligo was not against Sagari's actions. The light was reflecting on the girl's eyes, and Diligo was surprised how much they shone with radiance.

"The stars amaze me" Diligo said. "Everything is so grand in the vast cosmos, and here's humanity, is the midst of it all."

Sagari nodded her head in agreement and then turned her attention back the heavens.
It's amazing, you have to wonder what's up there waiting for you. All the unexplored reaches of time and space... she said and trailed off just admiring the beauty of the stars, and the forest. It was an amazing evening.
