Motive? Well, yes and no. On one hand, he desired to claim the Lamia as his. She had a variety of features that attracted him greatly. Her dazzling looks were one trait he appreciated; her intellect was impressive. Her sweet, nurturing side made him want to hold her protectively. However, on the other hand, he knew she was with someone else. What he ultimately wanted was for her to be happy. Regardless of if she would be his queen or not, he would do at least that much. That's why this power display was occurring. To continue off of the conversation about Iesha's gift, the next question was:

"What does she like? Is she into books, collecting dolls, games?"

He had to be sure it was a gift the little girl would like. If there wasn't a clear answer, then he could go with something simple like cutesy bracelets. Speaking of bracelets, he needed to get the mother something too. Perhaps Narraine would appreciate a fine piece of jewelry. Maybe it would come to him during one of his mall trips. Then she noted having developed higher end tastes. Excellent, so she was the kind of girl that enjoyed expensive things.

"Ha, well you deserve the best I say. No shame in having elaborate cravings."

He could definitely afford to throw money at her, but he also wanted to balance it out with simpler things so she didn't feel overwhelmed. He didn't want to show off too much. At this point, they made it to the forest and were passing by trees. He kept the path clear of branches with his wind magic. Small twigs and rocks suddenly flew away from them. He was not about to let her hurt that tail. Thankfully they had a pretty broad path to walk on, so there was no need to worry about tree proximity. The man kept fairly close to her as he watched for strange activity.

"The aquarium's definitely an option. I could also take you to my workplace. We have a section for fish you may enjoy. Additionally there's other cool animals to check out there as well. Feel free to come by anytime to see them. The plus side is they're adoptable."

To be honest, he could probably make her and her daughter their own private aquarium. Just gather a load of exotic aquatic life, get them some tall tanks, and set it up in a space somewhere. However, that probably wouldn't be something he'd do off the bat. They needed more time together first. They were approaching the clearing now as Narraine mentioned exercise. Raul used to be a total bum; thanks to his brother, he began to work out and maintain his nice figure. He even had abs now. Most importantly, he knew how to fight.

"So a true Amazoness, eh? I wouldn't mind sparring with you. I just have to make sure I'm not distracted by your charms!"

He chuckled and winked. He knew better than to underestimate her. He had a feeling she made for quite the formidable opponent. It would be good practice and keep them fit. His subconscious conjured up a dirty thought, but it was quickly shoved aside. No thinking with his dick. Her praise made him grin and scratch his head. He was proud but modest.

"It's really all about time. Put enough work into something, and you get better. Keep repeating it, then you can make good work faster."

That's how Graphic Design worked; the goal was to make quality work at a rapid pace. It had to be presentable but not take one thousand years to accomplish. That said, he was surprised with how quickly he adapted to it. It brought him pride. Somehow, they went into a tangent about languages. He was a little confused on how this topic occurred, but he didn't mind. Once she concluded her explanation, he let out a series of grunts and growling noises.

"That was Draconic. I said 'You have a sexy tongue.' I'd be interested in learning Tongue. It's possible to learn Draconic too, but it's very rough on the throat if you're not a dragon."

He went along with the tangent just fine. It also gave him another reason to see Narraine; she could give him language lessons if she was fine with that. If she was interested in Draconic, he could help her with that too.

"You speak English really well. I get the sense you learn quickly."

They arrived at their destination, but it was not time for powers yet. There was one other question he had to answer.

"Oh, I came with family. Long story short, the Drakenhardts are a giant clan of noble dragons from Europe. Thanks to some professional hunters attacking and the main family being a bit divided, my parents sent my siblings and I here to live with my big brother Alex. He's the oldest. He...also pretty much kicked my ass until I stopped being a scrub."

A chuckle escaped him before he finished.

"I used to be a royal brat. After a while, I realized I was being a dumb jerk. So I stopped fooling around and got serious. Started working out more, enrolled into college, and took up a job at Paranormal Critters."

His green eyes gazed over at the Lamia.

"What about you?"

In response to his statement in draconic, Narraine let out a series of quiet hisses, all ranging in different lengths and tones. Her tongue flicked past her lips as she hissed. "That was a little of the tongue. I said You are too kind honorable Lord of the dragons." She giggled a little before hissing again, this time with a few nearly silent vowel sounds to round out the hisses. "And I can't tell you what that means." She said with a wink.

"Me? Well. I have 26 sisters. One of them, Aylin is my twin. She is here too. Anyways We all have the same father. He was a Human, but a powerful mage within the royal courts. from birth I was chosen for a life of warfare and prestige. My sisters and I, we act as a sort of specialized militia that existed to control chaos. we fought any and all that threatened the peace of our world."

Narraine paused for a moment as her thoughts drifted to the past, and how her life used to be. It was a huge contrast to what she was now. here in this world, she was quite, rather bland, but back home she was fierce and exciting. it wasn't to say she didn't like what she had now, it was just a much different pace than she had been used to before.

"We handled opposing armies, controlled the elements, hunted dragons, and vampires alike, burned demons and served the world. Just over four years ago, my sister Aylin was banished from our world, by a warlock. She had been sent to kill him. I spent the next four years using my power to tear a hole in time and space to come here and find her."

She had sacrificed so much of her power to get here. The portal had demanded something in exchange for safe passage, and so she had offered up all but a fraction of her magic to cross over. Now she was stuck, though now she was happier here than she had been back home, so it wasn't so bad.

"I'll show you tricks today... But I promise my magics were much much stronger before." She smiled as she spoke, looking at Raul. He seemed so level headed. It was hard to picture him as a dumb jerk.

Had she tried to tell anyone back home that she was actually talking with a Dragon, they would have thought her to be mental. Still here she was walking through the woods, alone and fearlessly with a Royal Dragon. It was certainly a surreal experience.

Up ahead she could see the clearing coming into view. The open field was surrounded on all sides by trees, but offered a great deal of room to move around. She could tell it was more of a meadow than barren wasteland, and even imagined that it would be filled with wildflowers and tall flowing grasses come spring. Now though, it was covered in a thin layer of frost from the night before. It was still, and quiet and hauntingly beautiful.

"hey... Raul.... Race you to the clearing." She said with a laugh before taking off at full speed for the break in the trees. She had no intention of playing fair as he probably was much quicker than she was without much trying. And besides, it was all in fun.

Narraine slithered like a predator on a mission, over logs, under brushes, wrapping around trees, climbing up, and descending as she moved faster than a human could have run. Everything her tail touched allowed her to use the muscly appendage to push her faster and faster. She wasn't so much slithering anymore so much as she was simply muscling her way through the trees. Still, despite the powerful and speedy movement, she was nearly silent, almost like a breeze cutting through the woods.
