Valentine looked down, his hand still on her shoulder. "I'm so sorry to hear this." He then hugged, her and looked up, hoping she wouldn't think of this as awkward. "I know...that you probably need a hug right now. I also hope that everything goes better, and that the wonderful person your mother was shall never leave you."

She hugged him back tightly, she did need a hug. She never had a friend to hug her before. It felt good to finally have not only a friend, but a person who understood. She listened to him and slowly loosened her hold on him. "Thank you." She said heartfeltly, she felt more peaceful about her past since she talked about it to someone. It felt good to get it off her chest and her mind.

He smiled, "What are friends for?" Valentine loosened his grip as well. The eighteen year old looked up at the sky.

"It is odd, how so many people have so many friends...and can still be sad. I don't know..." He shrugged and then looked to the ground, feeling a bit dumb then.

"I think it's because many aren't true friends. You can have friends but not mean it, I guess that's what makes some people different. If everyone had at least one true friend then they'd be happy, but since they can't find the true friend they surround themselves with false friends thinking it will make them happy." She said slowly moving from his arms so it wouldn't seem awkward her still being in them.

"So... We still going to breakfast or do I have to hear your belly growl all the time we're together." She said with a smile.

"I kind of like the sound my stomach makes." Valentine smiled all the while. "But, I guess for your sake I can get a bite to eat at the cafeteria."

The cafeteria was about a quarter of a mile away. The human stood by Amelia and raised his eyebrow. "So, after that, would you care to come with me to the forbidden, or to the stables?"

She shook her head with a smile, he was a weird guy. He could get annoying, but she guessed he was a lot like her. She liked having a friend she could understand and understood her and listened. She smiled lightly at his comment about getting a bite to eat for her sake. "Well I highly doubt you'll feel good enough not eating anything for breakfast and your stomach growling the whole way. Besides if you met up with a werewolf it might think your hitting on it." She said jokingly with a chuckle.

She nodded "The forbidden is nice, the stables are too I think. Never really been to the stables." She said looking at him. "How about you chose?" She hated to make choices especially when she didn't know what the other wanted. She personally kinda wanted to show him the forbidden.

He smiled at her comment on hitting on a werewolf, "Well, you know the type of girls I like are nice and hungry to eat me." He chuckled some after that.

"I guess since I went without you to the Forbidden we can go, but later in the day we should go to the stables and ride some horses. It's fun, but I can't help worrying that you are going to fall right on your bottom." Valentine smiled, somewhat wanting to see her fall on her bottom. She was too strong, fast and probably more powerful than he.

She looked at him and laughed, shaking her head again. "You know those are the worst kind, if you get them upset." She made a cutting motion at her neck, to say he'd be dead. "You have to be careful if you do get a werewolf for a girl, she's liable to rip you to shreds. You might need a lot of glass." She chuckled, girls always did hit harder then enemies. Mainly since they aren't expected to hurt the guy, or they really are stronger whichever the case it was still quite true.

She laughed lightly.... "You do realize I probably won't fall on my backside, but you can always keep your eyes out. And I highly doubt you really worry I'll fall on my backside. You probably wish I do." She said eyeing him.

"Yea...I kind of do want you to fall now that you think of it." Valentine looked around seeing that lights were being turned on as they passed by. "Well...seems people are starting to wake up."
Valentine's eyes then looked at Amelia, "What do you look for in a guy? The rugged look, brawny arms, and the sensitive guy personality." Val smiled and looked up at the sun rippled sky above.

She nodded smiling lightly... Then heard his question a little wondering in her mind if he was insinuating something but she didn't want to ask. "Me look for in a guy? Hmm... I never really thought about it. I guess not too bad looking but not mister hunk of all hunks. He doesn't have to be strong, it'd be a miracle if he could even get along with me. I guess just a nice guy who's normal and still has his issues but won't be like my dad. He'd also have to be able to put up with my anger." She said with a chuckle.
