Zora had come down to the community centre that evening because of - well, the rumours....rumours that had been going around about the party itself. She had been curious mostly. However, she was pretty sure now that curiosity had killed the cat in the end. Everything had been fine, the grass on the floor, the appearance of squirrels, the strange artefacts, the call of bells in the distance - all that had been fascinating, fun - she had been enjoying herself with everything - until the pool of water had appeared.
When she glanced down into the small pool that had appeared in the middle of the floor, the face staring back at her in the mirrored water was not her own, nor was it someone she had ever expected to see. And as Zora quietly listened to the chatter in the room of what others had seen, she started to feel extremely disconcerted and confused.
And so, when Jude asked Zora if she wanted to go out and get some fresh air, she had quickly agreed. Walking in relative silence, they finally came to a small cafe a few blocks away. There Zora suggested they sit out on the half empty patio - it was a night evening - where they each ordered something to drink.
