Why was he just sitting there, acting all clueless while Maylynn was in obvious pain. Move damnit, do something! Maylynn wanted to scream at him, to tear away his own heart so that he couldn't feel anymore. "So you're just a-a bunch of metal?" That fact was something he couldn't stand to come to terms with. Yesterday, the person he had been in love with for so many months, was now reduced to nothing in his eyes. "I don't, want your pity, trash."

The fury in him was too much, causing him to make himself invisible, not wanting to be looked at. "I-Just... Go." As much as he wanted to run into Yesterday's arms, to just feel the embrace of him and to know that he was loved; none of those things were going to happen. Yet again, he was just a scared little boy, the one he had always been.

@Claire

What was he? Yesterday's eyes went down, going to his feet, travelling up his legs to his chest. Down his arms to his hands, were his fingers were articulated and covered with a fine skin. Just a bunch of metal.

"...I... I suppose I am." Because it was the truth. It was a fact that he was metal and parts and synthetic silicone skin, but flesh and bone like Maylynn would have liked. Perhaps that was what Yesterday would've liked, too. To be real, maybe. To have muscle and skin and body heat that didn't require an internal generator.

His tone was different when he spoke again. Quiet, almost meek. He wasn't programmed that way, either.

"I'm sorry I've disappointed you." He didn't try to reach out again. He just went towards the door, maybe to wander for the night and see how things would be in the morning. Maybe Maylynn would feel a little better. Maybe he wouldn't want him anymore. It was uncertain and he didn't like that.
