Ed's eyes widened, and she nodded quietly. "I don't know what that'd be like. In my family, no one disappeared... I think my mum used to try to make me disappear, though, because my aunt was always telling her it wouldn't work." She giggled softly, suddenly stopping herself as she remembered the girl sitting next to her. "How were you able to live? Did you have any money? Did you have to go get adopted?" She frowned, confused.

Ed nodded, her curiosity only slightly dampened. "But how'd you afford to com-" She sighed, deciding not to bother. She was probably making Star-girl all sad. "What are your powers?" She questioned, looking behind the girl's back as if they were hiding.

Ed nodded, about to ask something else but quickly quieting herself. "I'm a mimic." She grinned, loving the word she used to describe her power. "And I can control darkness and things." She glanced behind the girl's back once again, frowning slightly. "If you can fly, where are your wings?"

Edward studied them carefully, finally content they were real and leaning against the stone wall. "S'a good power." She nodded, throwing both arms above her head in a yawn.

Edward shook her head, carefully examining her pink-painted fingernails as if they were the most interesting thing in the world. "It has to be alive. Aware that it is alive. Not plants or anything." She wrinkled her nose, glancing up at the girl. She'd had to explain her power to a lot of people, it seemed.. "When did you come here?" She wondered, tilting her head to the side curiously.
