Kadasha went to the park to play with her two dolls one warm afternoon. She wanted to see why there were so many people there as well. Maybe something fun was happening. But as she got into the thick of the crowd, she really couldn't help but feel completely out of place. At first she was okay weaving her little self between the adults, but when came noon time, people had boxed her in. They were gathering for something, and she couldn't find a way out that she wouldn't have to worry about being crushed. Shay was having fun sitting on her head as he took the role of navigator, while Kadasha was hugging Sally tightly, afraid of dropping her and having someone accidentally step on her. Shay tugged on her hair and pointed to a stall selling cotton candy in the shape of a really chubby panda. The one the store owner was making looked to be as big as Kadasha herself. She almost forgot to mind the adults when she ran up to the stall. "One cotton candy please!" Shay said, speaking on behalf of Kadasha, who was holding out a dollar bill. The man at the stall chuckled and took the payment and dropping in colored sugar pellets into the spinning container which, luckily for Kadasha, was transparent so she could see the strands of cotton candy slowly take over the entire space as the man skillfully collected the threads, making the body, then the little ears, and then small nubs for its arms and legs, and even a smaller one for the tail. "Here you go, little girl. Be careful not to drop it. I made it extra special." The man leaned over to give the cone to Kadasha, who could barely reach the stall's counter. She happily nodded and Shay said, "Thank you, Mister!" Then they were off. When she was relatively alone, under the shade of an old tree as most of the crowd had gathered to the center of the park, she whispered to her toys, "Do you want some, Shay? Sally?"

Sally very much enjoyed being carried than walking. She didn't mind a stroll, but sometimes it was so easy to get dirt and dust on herself, especially in the middle of a crowd. People didn't seem to like looking down to notice creatures of her size, much to her ire. Why, if she was her normal size, no one would dare ignore h- She was pulled aside from her musings when her view was changed with Kadasha suddenly making a turn. She would take a guess was towards the cotton candy stall. Ick. She wasn't too fond of the sugary treat, especially when it leaves her with a sticky mess once it starts melting -- but who was she to stop a child from wanting her sweets fix? Sally, in her usual gimmick, stayed a wordless ragdoll in the child's arms, up until they found shelter under the an old tree. Sally made herself comfortable, sitting next to Kadasha after making sure her seat had no dirt on it. From there it was easy to see how much people there was. Was there some sort of festival today? "Do you want some, Shay? Sally?" Kadasha asked, earning the demon's attention. Her gaze turned to the fluffy coil of sugar before looking at her cotton-stuffed mitts. "I'll pass," she told Kadasha, "Do enjoy your treat, dear, don't mind us."

"I'll have some!" Shay piped up, all too happy ripping out a chunk from the ears and stuffing his face with the sugary treat. Kadasha had cotton candy before, and it was always a nice treat to have, but she never had one this big. She started nibbling and watching people go by, but she was more interested in the ones that were flying. She's been here for a long time now, and she still thought everyone that were flying looked magnificent. Truth be told, she was a little jealous of them. She could only imagine how everything looked from that high. The traffic in their area started to pick up again, and not wanting to be in anybody's way, Kadasha stood up to try and find somewhere less crowded since she didn't want to go home yet. "Is there anywhere you would like to go to, Sally?" she asked, not knowing herself where she'd want to go.

Sally watched the pair munch into the fluffy treat and maybe there was a pang of jealousy there, mostly because she couldn't enjoy so many things on earth just because she was stuck in such an inconvenient body. And yet no words came from her, satisfying herself with watching the crowd move about along with Kadasha. This island was brimming with fascinating creatures. And yet she had the displeasure of being stuck as a doll. Soon the crowd started to scatter towards them. Sally would have kept her people watching if she hadn't notice the child stand up. "Ah," Sally stood up from her seat (literally standing on her seat), looking towards the crowd. "Well frankly, I was curious what was happening that people are crowding around here? Though, I recall you're not fond of crowds, are you?"

Kadasha really wasn't that fond of crowds but with Sally and Shay with her, she felt safe and confident. "I'll be fine if you two are with me." She was also a little bit curious of what was over there herself. Maybe they'd get clues if they went where there were more people. It looked like they were crowding a stage. She picked Sally up and they made their way over to where the people were. But Kadasha had to look around since hedges and fences blocked their way and also funneled people to the exits. But Kadasha would power through. She didn't talk much, as usual when there were people around that she didn't know too well. They passed a couple of food stalls, but Kadasha didn't feel hungry, though the smell did make her want to give it a second thought. She'll just come back to it when they find out what this event was. The crowd was getting thicker now, and there was a little bit of a commotion somewhere, and the crowd seemed to shift a lot. Kadasha was actually getting pushed around by adults who didn't see her before it was too late. She'd get some apologies here and there, but then there was a bump hard enough that she actually dropped her cotton candy and Sally as she fell on the ground. Shay stumbled off her head and managed to scamper into the hedges. He looked around as soon as he was safe, but he couldn't see where Kadasha was, or Sally for that matter. He called out for them, "Sally! Kadasha! Where are you! Are you alright!"

Sally gave a knowing nod at Kadasha who agreed to check the crowd with her. She was fairly new to the island just the same, so she had a fascination for whatever went on in the background while she was here. Kadasha picked her up -- a gesture she'd been trying to get used to. Her former 'owners' preffered to keep her as decoration and left on the shelf, mostly because she was sold as a 'haunted item' and no human parent bought her as children's plaything. On the other hand, this was fine. It would be hard to lose her 'current owner' in a crowd. Troublesome even. Which, much to her annoyance, would actually happen. Some rude humanoid collided with the little girl, throwing Sally out of the child's hands along with the candy, and Shay. Sally muttered a string of curses as she got up, dusting away the dirt that had gotten on her and when she looked up -- well the most she could see were moving people before getting kicked to the side. Sally got up, maybe after another round of being tossed about, only to find she was separated. She grumbled, tossing her hair behind her and snapping at the next person to "Watch it you," as she weaved through the crowd, aside from calling for Shay and Kadasha. Soon after, she heard Shay's voice through the crowd and tried to find the other doll. "Shay!" Her voice didn't show concern but rather impatience. She eventually found him but it was obvious that he was alone. "Where's Kadasha?"

The plush was looking quite distressed, but a sigh of relief escaped him as he laid eyes on his other partner in crime. Not actual crime though. "Sally! I don't know where Kadasha is! I can feel she's still here, but I can't tell where!" He climbed up to the top of the fence, clumsily as his plushness didn't give much in the way of vertical mobility, but even then, he couldn't see anything but people's midsections. It was more likely that he'd just hurt his own ability to actually see Kadasha. Shay frantically looked every which way until he suddenly froze, like an icy hand just touched his shoulder in the middle of the night. He hopped back down, nearly landing on the button-eyed doll. "She's getting farther! This way!" He said, crawling underneath the bush like an excited puppy who learned how to dig under the fence. He cut into the more open field, and looked about, seemingly losing the trail as he reached another wall of bushes.

Sally clicked her tongue -- or well, made a sound similar to it -- when she and Shay reconvened. She could easily tell the concern on the plush toy's face but mostly for the lost child rather than their current predicament: they were a couple of pint-sized plush dolls in a middle of a bustling crowd after all. The possessed doll weaved around the crowd, trying to catch up to the other doll. Despite being the longer, more agile-looking one between the two of them, Sally felt more like a stringy doll with a bad sense of coordination compared to Shay. "See anything up there?" she called from below the fencing, seeing him look still for just a moment. Did he find her, she wondered. But the answer soon came to her when Shay hopped off the fence, Sally narrowly avoiding him on his descent. "Watch it!" she hissed. She's getting farther! This way! Shay would call out, bolting away. "Good grief, slow down!" she huffed, but she didn't let another second pass to be left behind. Or she tried. Crawling under bushes where dirt lived was not her sort of game. She caught up in time but by then they were faced with another set of bushes and Sally was just about to go on another rant if she didn't notice Shay looking around. "Well? Where is she?"

"I can't tell for sure, but she's around here. Kadasha! Kadasha!" he called at the top of his lungs but the music from the band that had began to play and the speakers dotted along the park meant that his voice wouldn't go that far. It didn't look like the people towering above them noticed either. Just then, the plush felt something brush against his back, a string of some kind, and before he knew it, he was being lifted into the air. "Sally! Help!" A length of string had wrapped around him. Looking up, the dolls would see a balloon in the shape of Dora the Explorer. "No Dora! I don't want to go exploring!" Shay's stubby front paws flailed around as if trying to swim down and trying to grab Sally at the same time.

Running around with tiny, noodles for legs was bad enough, but trying to weave through a crowd was another venture all together. One that Sally didn't enjoy, but it didn't look like she was left with any choice here: her human was missing and Shay didn't seem to have any care about the crowd. Sally would have just waited along the side, but knowing Shay wasn't even with Kadasha was a bit concerning. All her whining would have probably kept her from noticing Shay's current situation, especially with the noise in the air. But Sally looked up, her eyes looking around for Shay to see him slowly ascending into the air. "Why on earth did you get yourself tied into a balloon?" she hissed, though not taking any moment to reach for the other plush toy. She ran forward, gaining momentum from running before taking a leap to reach for Shay.
