Quarantine

Around Monday, the city government took all the sick people into Quarantine!

The Quarantine would've been announced last weekend, stating everybody sick must go to the town plaza. There, they'd be pick up in ambulances in batches. The satellite branch of the hospital is located in the Woods, at the outskirts of The Forbidden Forest. It's similar to other government buildings in size and regeneration abilities, meaning walls could be destroyed, but it would regenerate immediately after.

The accommodations are fairly comfortable, but some of the designs and furniture are dated, and it's obvious that the facility has never anticipated containing everybody in this scope. Everyone would have to take a roommate or five, preferably family members, friends, people in their age group, or those sick with similar strains. The layout would often be one wooden bed with a mattress, then hospital beds transported from the main Manta Carlos General Hospital branch. There's one bathroom with a shower and one kitchenette in every room.

There's enough things to do. Each room has a TV and a radio. There's a small library at the ground floor, and a waiting room now turned common lounge for everybody to interact in. People are allowed to socialize because everybody is sick with the same virus. There's no danger of infecting people with other strains because the strains comes from mutations inside their bodies, rather than a different type of virus.

Patients are allowed to bring gadgets, books, and other such personal belongings in the Quarantine area, though they wouldn't be allowed to come out to fetch other things once inside. They can have things delivered but the delivery person would not be allowed within the premises. There is no wi-fi signal but phone reception should work fine.

Lastly, all staff are required to put on full-body "moon suits" when going inside. These blue suits are airtight and watertight, resistant to cuts and tears, and have magic portals to an outside air source so the wearer will not suffocate. Visitors are not allowed in the Quarantine area.

UPDATE

The situation has improved for patients in quarantine. The amount of staff at the quarantine hospital has increased greatly, especially with regards to the nursing staff. The extra staff will be able to ensure all those in quarantine have access the best available nonmagical medication to treat the symptoms of their illnesses. This includes pain medications (for each type of pain), cough suppressants, medications for nausea, medications to suppress itching, medications to reduce fever, and even high-quality moisterizers for those with Popsiccus Incendium.

Furthermore, additional security staff have been pulled from the school to help keep the peace. Especially problematic patients may be locked in a highly damage-resistant room and/or given a power-nullifying bracelet to make them more manageable. Individuals may also request these bracelets or have them recommended by nurses, to make clairafloresus symptoms or other personal issues more manageable.

These improvements are due, in part, to the efforts of a visiting infectious diseases doctor named Vasile Vasile. Finding the quarantine hospital somewhat shortstaffed, he pushed for the transfer of additional staff and the acquisition of additional moon suits.

Everyone outside the Quarantine are now hearing gossip about radicals that want to expunge the island of the sickness by blowing up everyone in Quarantine. The government is refusing to comment about evacuation but the police are looking into it.
