"I never said they are doing anything shady.", Basté waved a finger, before taking it to her forehead, pensive, "But assume they have some suspects of impersonation already. Why are they taking so long to make their move? What are they waiting for? Maybe to catch them red-handed? And is it only one? What if someone ends up dying because of this?"

A long sigh and her eyes trailed to the side, following the movement of the wind, "I don't want anyone to die. Not a victim, not a suspect, not a culprit. but with rumors getting this exaggerated it makes me fear finding remains of someone who has been recently snacked on in or around the forest in my next investigation.", her tone heavy with concern.

"If that happens, I fear for Kon.", Basté's eyes went down, "Even with a good alibi, being a murder suspect puts one in a tight spot. But just one evidence, one REALLY GOOD evidence of an impersonator on the loose could change things for better. And that's why I'm willing to gamble even my life if necessary to find this evidence."

The next question seemed to be out of the blue, but perhaps... "Alma, what is the goal of Citizens Against Evil?"

Alma opened her mouth once again to speak, but found she had no words to say. Confusion gave way to exhaustion. She had no more courage to blurt out what was on her mind; mostly because she had too many thoughts at once. Still hugging herself and leaning uncomfortably against the wall once again, she just shrugged. It was all she could do at this point; she was too tired and too unsure of herself to counter anything Basté said. So she focused on what she could manage: explaining something she knew about intimately.

"They're a hate group. Mostly reactionary religious humans. Demons are bad, yada yada. None of them will say it outright, but they want us gone. Demons, vampires. The 'sinful' types."

Basté remained silent for a while, having heard that response.Holding her chin, her eyes went through the corner of her eyes to Alma. "I got the gist of it. Probably. I'll need to look deeper into this group and see what I can find, but...", with a pause, she uncrossed her arms and supported against the wall on one hand, "I would not be surprised at all if they are involved in any way. For now, than you for answering my questions, Alma. Want me to take you to your room? I'd be honored to be of further assistance in any way."

"I actually live off campus," Alma said without thinking. She cringed a bit at her carelessness, but pushed back the thoughts. If Basté really had any bad intentions, she had no better opportunity than here alone on the roof at night.

"I am getting pretty tired though. I'm... not used to having to sleep. I don't want to impose or anything. You already seem to be trying to help."

Basté gave a small giggle, "Oops, yes, home. Habit, I live in the campus after all. But don't feel like you are imposing... Besides, have you ridden a motorbike before? Because I can give you a ride home, no expenses. After all, I roam late at night, takes a while to feel any sleepy.", she reassured and offered once more, "However if you really don't want, I will understand. Just be sure to stay safe, okay?"

Alma's head fluttered between a few different options, but she ended up kind of nodding meekly. "I haven't ever ridden a motorcycle, no. It... might be fun?"

From there Alma would follow Basté down, letting herself be led to wherever this bike was. Assuming of course it wasn't some sort of trick; in that case Alma was prepared to tase and kick and scream.

Basté took good care of her, carrying Alma piggyback if necessary, until they were at the parking lot. Giving her the helmet, Basté would mount on the Machine Tornador and instruct Alma to hold onto her once she too climbed onto the bike. Starting the engine, she mentioned "I've been in the know of most roads here, so tell me your address and I'll take you there."

Alma could walk just fine down to where the bike was parked. She wanted to object to having the helmet, but also knew that falling off of herself would be bad. After putting the helmet on she texted her mom and boyfriends to let them know she was getting dropped off at her house soon.

As she saddled onto the bike, Alma did her best to not hold on too tightly or awkwardly to Basté as she repeated out her address. "I'm ready. Just uh... not too fast? I've never ridden one of these before."

"I normally ride close to the speed limit. But I can make it more enjoyable for you, going at a slower pace.", and off they went into the night, following a more scenic route for Alma's house, keeping their speed neither too slow nor close to the limit. Basté kept a joyful smile at the wind on her face, it was so relaxing and fresh for the night.

Alma found that she actually had a pretty good time one the bike. It was like flying in some ways: the speed, the wind in her face. She tried not to think too hard about smacking into the pavement if they happened to crash, but she did find herself clinging a bit tighter to Basté when they took a couple of corners. This was why she hated roller coasters. The anxiety.

She knew for sure that this wasn't the most direct route to her house though. Basté seemed to be taking her on a longer, more scenic route; maybe as a way to try and calm her nerves?

Either way, she was pretty well relaxed when the two of them finally made it to the curb outside of her house. Alma's legs were shaky as she got off of the bike; too eager to let go and stop awkwardly hugging onto Basté, she stumbled a bit.
