Then he remembered that Cabel was coming up with a way to turn them all back.

When the toy was offered to him, he watched it closely before batting at it. Somewhere in his mind he knew that it was just a stupid toy, but his brain was overcome with cat predator instincts that told him to swat and pounce and try to dig his claws into the toy.
