Naka walked alone through the city streets in the dead of night waiting for the assassins that he knew should be coming. For some reason they hadn't yet. His sword that marked him as the Oyabun(father role) of the Oni Waban group though he hadn't elected a Saiko komon (senior advisor) and so-honbucho (headquarters cheif) nor had he reassigned the wakagashira (number two man) or wakashu (junior leaders) to new roles and that was something that would need to be done. It was difficult because he had to decide between choosing natural born Japanese people or severely breaking tradition and inviting what he was sure would be referred to as "yaban-jin" or "barbarians" like Sorcha or Alistair. As it stood, he was at a difficult cross roads and the fact that his own role as a leader were in jeopardy. He had about five years until all the attacks would stop, but he couldn't wait that long to fill that role. Though the Yakuza was no longer as traditional as it was in the past, Naka had to consider the ramifications of further lack of adherence to traditions when he, an 18 year old "wakai otokonoko (young boy)" shouldn't have been the leader Oyabun in the first place ever.

The only reason he was the Oyabun or Kumicho (supreme boss) of the Oni Waban group instead of the entirety of the Yakuza as a whole was because of his age, inexperience (which was subsequently assumed to be because of his age), and desire to keep the bosozuku (speed tribes- people who are mostly noted as motorcycle gangsters) to a minimum. Unfortunately this was going to have to change at least a little or he would find himself a bigger target, although changing one's mind showed weakness and although his subordinates were supposed to obey him without question, he had no other experience and no one had actually accepted him in any of the senior families despite his having defeated his uncle. It was a very complicated situation. All of this flew through his mind but he still hadn't come up with a plausible solution to the problem. Despite all of this, he waited confidently to take on the assassins and prove his worth.

———————————

Above the buildings on top of where Nakata Ishikawa stood, Zanyi fought against an opponent well below him, a female one at that.
" No one said anything about a bodyguard. Why don't you just let me kill him, I'll share half of the pay with you." Zanyi said nothing, it was intimidating but the fact was he didn't speak english.
"seventy percent?" She said in chinese.
"If you're talking about the pay I don't intend to let you live long enough to collect anything." He responded in chinese, the only other language he spoke besides Japanese. With that it was clear bribery wasn't going to work.

The chinese broadsword, one of many forms it could take, was held in Zanyi's hand and as the woman went to attack, he didn't bother to dodge, he simply held up his sword and blocked the bullet that the woman had fired from a .55 hawk pistol. As he did, a huge hole exploded in her shoulder, a maneuver that Zanyi found difficult since he had to maneuver himself so that the bullet would have his shoulder before he blocked it. With that he rushed forward cutting the girl's stomach so that blood seeped down the front of her body. As she fell to the ground and the pistol fell from her hand, the broadsword turned into a rather top heavy and attractive Chinese woman.
"Spread her legs and make sure the lower half of her body is coated with blood." He ordered her in a calm yet anticipatory voice. It was fortunate that Naka never even knew about this assassin had been slain, for he certainly would never have approved what happened to her once she was out of the picture.

Sorcha followed Naka as he walked along the city streets. She was pretty sure he knew she was there. She was worried about the trouble he said was coming for him and she thought to have his back. She could have just gone up and asked him if she could go but she figured he needed some alone time, or at least he seemed pensive when he left. As she ducked behind a dumpster she noticed another figure up ahead doing the same thing. Maybe her instincts were right and there was something bad after Naka already. Naka stopped and just stood in one spot and she decided that it was a good time to catch up to and see who else was following him. She ran at a crouch and came up behind the person who was peeking around a building corner and tapped them on the shoulder. She whispered harshly,"Who are you and why the hell are you following Naka?"

———————————————————————————

Suze laughed to herself as Naka's little puppy got closer and she could pick up her thoughts. It was true that she was keeping tabs on him, however, she meant him no harm. At least not yet. She still hadn't decided if she liked the guy or not, but as long as he seemed to be back at campus and reportedly creating quite a stir she figured that she could at least see what was going on. When Sorcha tapped her on the shoulder she at first decided to ignore her just to make her mad. However, she couldn't keep an eye on Naka with the red headed brat bothering her. It was best to get this over with. She sighed as she turned around,"Shhh, he'll hear us and then this will all be seen as stalking. I prefer to think of it as an intense game of follow the leader. So if you will just stand there and be quiet we can get on with the game."

Twenty minutes of waiting, there was no one here. His enemy was somewhere, he could almost feel it but then the feeling vanished and there was nothing. Something was wrong with the situation. Despite that he didn't sense any more killing intent... At least not directed towards him. Given that, he allowed himself to be lost in his thoughts once more as he continued down the alleyway. Naka knew this was about to get heated and he slid his hands along the length of the hilt of his katana which remained covered in its usual silk wrapping. His hands this time were also wrapped in silk Muay Thai bandages and his haori this night bore a red embroidered symbol (超越 "transcendence") on the back and sleeves torn off. As it stood, there was nothing he could do but continue on his way and deal with troubles as they came along.

—————————

Zanyi finished his business with the woman on the roof tops and his body was now covered in blood from it. Still as he stood he saw two more on the ground. The night was just full of fun times for him. With that he dropped off the roof, controlling his center of gravity and hitting the first gutter and as he did he adjusted his center of gravity by leaning to the side as far as he could. The result made his impact with the gutter leave only a footprint in the aluminum and with that he fell to the next step, grabbing onto a pipeline that led to the ground. He slid his way down the ground silently landing to a side alley that Naka had walked past. With that he stepped behind the girls, stretching his hand out at which point Feng transformed into a weapon and fell down the length of the building, finally landing in his hand as a ninja-to. With speed impossible for the human eye to follow, he appeared in front of the girls just after Naka rounded a corner and was out of sight.
"No shortage of female assassins tonight. This is turning out to be rather lucrative." He said in Chinese.

Sorcha squeaked when the man instantly appeared in front of her and Suze. She immediately threw up her shield in a purely defensive move and slowly stepped back a few feet. He was intimidating with all of that red on him. Wait, she thought to herself, red? as in blood? Anybody showing up with blood all over their clothes could not be good, but she had a sneaking suspicion the man in front of her with the sword was extremely bad news.

She searched her memory banks for the Chinese that she had learned when her father was a dignitary and furiously translated it. She wasn't sure she had done it correctly when she translated it to mean female assassins. He surely didn't mean her? Now Suze she could believe it, but no, not her. And who did he think she was trying to kill? She didn't hate anybody enough to want them dead. Well, there were a few who could use with a little bit of hurt. But still, maybe if she just let him know that he wasn't hunting anybody, that she was just following a friend to make sure he was alright.

She tried to say in Chinese,"Excuse me, but I think you just said I was an assassin? And I just want to explain to you that I was just following a friend to make sure he was alright." She gulped and hoped that he understood what she was trying to say. Without thinking, she muttered to herself in English,"Naka is my friend, a really good friend and why would I try to hurt him? I mean really, who else could you be talking about? If you are one of the ones who was sent to hurt him I can promise you that there will be no chance in hell of you doing that when Sorcha is around."

She stared at the boogeyman, which is what she was thinking he was, and just now realizing what she just said hoped to hades he didn't understand English. Because if he did, she had a bad feeling. She wondered if Naka's bring back to life deal could be used for someone else. Kind of like a dial a friend lifeline from that game show.

——————————————————————————-

Suze was embarrassed she made a little noise of distress when the man appeared from them. She hated to be weak. It served its purpose when she wanted something to appear weak and helpless but to actually feel it was distasteful to her. She closed her mind to Sorcha's constant thoughts. Really, did the girl ever shut up? even in her own mind? She noticed right away the still damp blood on the clothes of the stranger and wondered who was lying dead right now. She was pretty sure that it wasn't Naka, she thought she had seen him start walking again while she was trying to shake the brat.

She noticed right away the weapon in his hand. Funny, it appeared to be clean with no signs of recent use in bloody mayhem. She realized that he had said something in a foreign language that she didn't know. Shitocki Mushrooms! Why didn't she ever take the time to learn anything other than English? Maybe if she just tried to read his mind she could pick something up. She slowly sent her powers out, only to find out that his mind was shut down tight to her. She wasn't really surprised, he probably had a million things to hide.

She slowly stepped back when she heard Sorcha talk to him. She was pretty sure that the goody two shoes was going to get into trouble and she wanted to be there to see it and yet be out of harms way herself. Well, she thought to herself that was one reason, the other was that the farther away she was from the reach of that sword, the better. She wondered if things went to hell if she could outrun him, or at least hide from him. As she took another step back she whispered to Sorcha,"Thats's right, talk to the nice man. You seem to have the ability to understand him, and oh, if he understood anything of what you muttered at the last, I will tell Naka that you died trying to foolishly be a hero." And with those words she stepped further back once more so that there was at least 20 feet between her and the jam filled snot stupid enough to challenge a man covered in blood in a dark alley.

Naka opened up his cell phone and hit the touch screen on it with his thumb, zipping it to the left, then the right, and finally down the center.
"Good evening Ishikawa-sama, how may I serve you tonight." A female voice asked.

"Program my phone so I have Wind god, and Flash king and then connect me to them via conference calling please." Naka responded.

"Yes Ishikawa-sama. Also, I'd like to inform you that global satellite imaging has picked up a rather disturbing image on top of the buildings right above your location. Also the local police scanners have gotten reports of gunshots." The female voice replied.
"Alright connect me to those two I mentioned.
"Initiating contact now, oyasumi nasai ishikawa-sama, and I wish you continuing good fortune on your path to becoming our oyabun."

With that the phone connected to two male voices.
"Whoever you are what the f*** do you want?" The voice said.
"Oh and ask them if have piiieeee!!!" A tiny cheerful female voice came from the other end.
"Wind god, just check your caller I'd. It's Naka, which means you need to show some respect." Another male voice said.
"Zetou, get Akira and Kanna and bring them here, i'm sending you my coordinates. There's something going on and I'm having trouble tracking it by myself." He said coolly, issuing his orders as an authority figure despite his lack of knowledge about the situation he was summoning them for.
"Hey boss man... seriously this sounds like scouting which is f***ing boring." windgod (Akira) complained.
"We could just fly overhead. and see what we can find! It'll be an adventure!!" The tiny female voice which Naka recognised as the fairy that traveled with Windgod. Her name was Kanna... and she could be kind of annoying but she offset Akira's personality.

"We're on our way. And Windgod, you really need to learn to watch your mouth..." The other male voice, Flash King, (Zetou) said as he hung up.
"F***in A man. This job is way too damn tedious." Windgod replied before hanging up as well.

——————————————————-

Zanyi didn't really have any reason to believe this girl but the fact still remained that she and the other had seen his face.
"Yeah tell your friend to stop moving or she's dead. Actually you're both dead anyway. Unfortunately you've seen my face so it can't be helped." He said to the girl who had responded to him in Chinese and this was just as he disappeared and reappeared (as far as what they would have seen) to stand being the one who was backing away. Feng was ready to attack but she wanted blood anyway. In a way she was just as crazy as Zanyi, but to a much lesser degree. With the two harmonized in this way, they were a formidable force to be dealt with.

Sorcha yelled to Suze,"STOP!!" She blinked her eyes a couple of times to make sure he really was standing behind Suze. Did he move? She never saw him move, how did he get over there so freaking fast. This was not good at all. If he had that kind of power then they were in some deep quick sand.

"Don't move, he told me to tell you to stop moving or you would be dead. Which I got to tell you, doesn't hurt me all that much. However, he ended his little message with the words that unfortunately because we had seen his face we were both dead. And that, I take exception to. So, as much as I dislike you I am going to give you a heads up, you won't have much time but I am going to attack him NOW!"

Sorcha immediately centered herself and strengthening her shield sent bolts of flames towards the boogeyman. She didn't wait to see where Suze was, or if she even hit her. Sorcha turn around and run as fast as she could towards the last place she had seen Naka. She really hated relying on him when she had spent so much time trying to make herself stronger. However, sometimes knowing when to get reinforcements was a dang fine battle strategy.

————————————————————————-

Suze looked at Sorcha again and thought she was seeing things, or wasn't seeing things you could say. The dude wasn't there anymore and she was pretty sure he didn't just poof. She started to move farther back when the little twit yelled for her to stop. She immediately stopped her movements and was fixing to yell at Sorcha when she felt a presence behind her. Oh great, she thought, here she was trying to get out of harms way, maybe catch a little Sorcha beat down and instead the guy was right behind her. She continued to listen to the brat and thought there had to be away out of it. She was weighing her own options when she heard the word "NOW" and saw the flames erupt from Sorcha's hands. What the...she thought just as a flame just missed her. Oh, that jerk! She was so going to get a brain freeze when she found her. Suze no longer remembered the bad man, she started running after Sorcha to deliver some punishment for almost hitting her. How dare she put Suze in danger of her uncontrollable fire. Really!

What a beautiful night this was. It was only recently he had begun to recover from the trauma caused by that recent incident, and he was glad he felt well enough to walk the streets at night again. He enjoyed the breeze that rolled off the nearby ocean, and despite the weakness he still felt his mood was entirely positive. Sorcha ran right by him. Yes, what a wonderful mood for a wonderful night.

Wait, Sorcha?

He caught a hint of fear...

Was there something wrong? As he considered trying to help her, some other girl whom he did not know also ran by. This time, he caught a hint of anger. Was this girl chasing Sorcha?

There was something off about this situation. He turned towards the directions the girls had came from but he wasn't sure if there was anyone else or not. He began to wonder if maybe he should follow those two...

—-

The man casually walked down the road. He was of average size for a teenage male in all ways, height, body structure, etc. He wore all black, including sneakers and jeans, with a black hoodie. Not only was the hood up but it did a remarkable job of hiding his face, along with the sunglasses that he peculiarly wore at night. He kept in a straight line as he walked down the sidewalk, minding his own business when he noticed two girls running down across the street.

He then turned around and began casually walking down the road in the same direction the two girls were going instead.

Three explored the sky above the city, two flew, the third disappeared and reappeared... or at least he would have if it weren't for the fact all three of them were invisible. Windgod's spells let him fly and made the trio invisible while Kanna's pixie wings beat as rapidly as they could as she flew next to her master, meanwhile flash king would teleport and then fall a few hundred feet and finally teleport back up to were windgod and kanna were before repeating the steps. They had already met at Naka's position and agreed to the plan, one which flash king was integral for when they saw the two girls running. The trio all noticed the figure following behind the ones on the ground who was too fast for the eye to see... well most eyes. Windgod picked up the disturbance in the way the wind moved so in a way they saw without seeing. Flash King, however, physically saw the figure. With eyes accustomed to the high rate of speed inherent in teleportation he was able to slow down the image so he could track the man. What the people on the ground didn't notice was that the guy was actually running past them and then returning to a position behind them. In this way he was continually moving faster than what they were going to be able to track... unless they were sensor types. The plan was ready, Windgod would engage with enemies on the ground if necessary while Flash King would go grab Naka and bring him to the location.

——————————-

Flames lanced toward him but he simply moved faster than they would have gotten to him as he slipped to the side and took a hidden position as the two ran away from him. A game of cat and mouse was exactly what he needed to liven up his evening.

Zanyi smirked as the girls ran and he gave chase so he could catch up to them. Then they ran past a male figure which he passed before circling back around to follow them. It was a simple task and he was barely feeling it since most wouldn't be able to see them but each time a new victim entered the fray it became more and more likely that someone was going to be able to. At this point, the best thing to do would be to retreat temporarily and finish the two off quietly and separately... At least that's what his brain told him but his blood thirst wasn't sated and all of these victims had a possibility of knowing Nakata Ishikawa. Finding out that a former member of the Oni Waban group was killing assassins above the city streets and hanging out with an evil organization. The whole situation would be a rather horrible thing and his role would get a lot more complex. Too many what ifs and variable factors, it was time to end this. With that he ran ahead of the group, including the guy on the street (he would have to be rounded up as well) and stopped and tossed his blade behind them. Instead of hitting the ground, or turning into it's normal beautiful female form, it changed into a copy of Zanyi so it would appear to them as though there were one of him on either side.

"End of the line I'm afraid. To the two innocent bystanders it's unfortunate that you didn't just run away from these girls but this game of cat and mouse is over. He said as he held up his hand so his fingertips were pointed up into the air in front of his face.

As Sorcha kept running she was debating whether she had been stupid or brave when she threw her shield at the unknown man. After all, she didn't know what kind of powers he had. He was probably laughing at her feeble attempts at stopping him. She wasn't sure what happened to Suze, and that should probably bother her but she just didn't have it in her to care. All of a sudden she ran past another figure in the dark and it briefly came to her that the person looked like Alistair. What he would be doing in the city at night she had no idea, but he had always been a little odd.

She came to a sudden stop when she came to the building she had last seen Naka standing in front of. She backed into the building, hoping the overhang hid her in the shadows. Squinting her eyes she looked around trying to see if she could spot him, or anybody friendly at this point. As she was wondering what to do now, and how far the guy might be behind her she heard footsteps and looking down the sidewalk saw Suze coming at a dead run towards her and she certainly didn't look happy.

————————————————————————-

Suze had only one thought, to get to Sorcha and put a hurt on her. She was frustrated at how hard it was to keep up with the brat. Dang, she wished for the umpteeth time that she was bigger and her legs longer. She was pretty sure that she could see her up ahead when she ran past a figure all in black walking on the sidewalk. She wondered to herself what kind of trouble he could be into when that made her think of the trouble she wanted to give to Sorcha.

There! Up ahead she could see her slinking in the shadows. She came to a sudden stop and putting her hands on her hips stared at Sorcha and loudly said "What in the heck was that little scene? You think your big and bad with your little flames. Well let me tell you what you little spoiled elemental brat , this was one of my favorite skirts and you ruined it and for that you are going to pay!" Having said that she started to concentrate on trying to access Sorcha's brain.

It looked like someone was chasing both of those girls. He couldn't tell, but the two girls themselves didn't seem very friendly towards each other either. Strange. Just what exactly was going on? He decided to go after both of them, and when he reached the scene he started to comprehend a little more as to what exactly was happening.

"Cat and mouse?" He questioned. "So.. this would be similar to a game of tag? I love tag!" He threw his arms up behind his head with a smile on his face. "I figure that you would be the one designated as it then, no?" He looked at Zanyi, then turned around and made a confused face at the exact clone of him. "Hmm.. I am afraid I do not understand. There are two its? Is that not perhaps slightly unfair? It does make things more exciting, I suppose."

—-

The strange man dressed in black took a little longer to reach the group than Alistair did. He did not seem as capable in terms of movement. He appeared disinterested in the situation as a whole, instead casually walking up towards Zanyi before stopping close enough to him that the assassin would easily be able to tell that this was no human standing before him. At least, it was not a living human.

"I can see you've found yourself some fun, assassin." It was a muffled voice, almost as if it came through a speaker. Which was, in fact, the case. What truly stood before Zanyi was a corpse animated by one of Vardas' loyalists, and it carried a small speaker and microphone upon itself so that he could communicate back and forth. The location of the controller of this zombie man could not be known for sure — likely at Vardas' hideout. "You probably have not realized it, but that man over there is Alistair Fordren. Be a little more careful with your actions, there is no telling what would happen were you to try and harm him or his friends. He has made several powerful allies according to my intel - don't take the situation lightly."

The zombie man turned to face Suze and casually pointed at her. "Besides. I would ask that you don't kill that woman. I've been scouting for some time now, and I think she will be useful later on. Do whatever you please, but don't kill her."
