"That all sounds really cool, can't wait to see it in action. I just use fire all fancy like, I haven't really learned all the tricks like my mom. Fire's more of a medium for her to do other things. She's actually going to school here to work as a doctor. And with my dad it's more like picking a martial art. Choose how you wanna stylize your burning..." he smiled a bit at that. Then he scarfed his food down rather quickly. Of course he'd give Lottie time to finish eating before taking her down into the basement of the mansion.

For the most part, the basement was as impressive as the rest of the house was. It was finished with a game area, and led off to a few other doors. The training room was more or less marked as such it had a set of peculiar runes on it as well. When Alaric opened the door it was shown to be several times more expansive than one would be led to believe. It was disproportional to the rest of the house. Clearly large enough for several fully grown dragons to move freely within it, and it fittingly resembled a cavern.

"So... this is where we train and do dragon stuff. Because if we just did it in the back yard well... we'd be in a lot of trouble. If it's not obvious, this whole area's being maintained with spatial magic, there's not actually a cavern under the manor. According to dad, Uncle Alex's offices have similar magic so he can shift into his dragon form during meetings and things."

"So... medium rare or well done?" said Lottie jokingly, wearing a silly grin on her face as takes her time to finish her food.

When she was finally done eating she set her plate and utensils aside to join Alaric down in the basement. This was the part where she was expecting some sort of dark dingy dungeon but instead she was witness to as just much of an impressive architecture and interior decorating like the rest of the house, if not more so. The size of the training room seemed so vast and cavernous that it looked like the rest of manor within its dimensions! It was so large in fact she had to wonder if there was some special enchants present to make the space somehow larger than it was suppose to be. Alaric was quick to answer that pressing question however.

"Oh I was just thinking that! But with cavern this big I could still hardly believe such magic being possible! And your family uses it just so they can fit comfortably? That is really impressive you know?" said Lottie, still marveling at the vast space she finds herself now walking in. She can't help but imagine what it must be like for a dozen dragons soar around in here. "And this is just a training room huh? Quite the room. Alright well whose first then?"

"I guess I'll go first?" Alaric offered. He figured he might as well show her to what extent they could take using their powers in the room. He moved in a bit further, to a safe distance away from Lottie. Then he inhaled, and exhaled. The air around him was heating up a lot, as flames ignited around him. Then Alaric seemed to be completely engulfed by them leaving no trace of him except for the flames. They were rapidly moving in Lottie's direction before stopping a couple feet away, and reforming into Alaric.

"I don't get to show off that one too often," he gestured to the scorched ground behind him. "For obvious reasons. But yeah this is like the perfect place to practice powers when you're not at school."

"Alright! Go for it then." said Lottie as she accepted his offer. As Alaric stepped back, Lottie just knew that whatever it was Alaric was planning was going to be big.

She felt the air become warm as her friend lit up in flames. In fact she couldn't exactly make out where Alaric was behind the veil of fire he put up. As the fire quickly approached her, there was brief moment where Lottie was thinking about putting a protective bubble even though she knew that Alaric wasn't going to hurt her. It was certainly a demonstration Alaric's level of control to have the fire stop just in front of her... as well as her own level of trust in him.

"Phew I can feel that heat from here" remarked Lottie as she wiped her brow with her arm sleeve. While she wasn't literally sweating, it was hot enough to feel like she was. "I dunno if I can quite top that buuuuttt... I can do do this!"

With sharp inhale, Lottie could feel a surge of magic welling inside as she sets her eyes onto Alaric. As she focuses onto her target, she outstretches one hand and snaps her fingers. In that instant, Alaric would found himself in an immovable and unbreakable ball of shimmering magic.

"Alright now I want you to get it everything you got to break out of that bubble I just put you in." challenged Lottie with a wry smirk, confident that Alaric will be unable to escape for the next 2 or so minutes.
